These two, Floor and Marco, belt together better than any other pair I've ever seen/heard. Dayum.
Health and Family over money...he did good. I have a feeling tho that in a couple of years he will be back.
I too just discovered Nightwish a couple months ago...shocked to hear of his decision to leave the band. Fast becoming my favorite group of musicians, I'm 54 and LOVE this band!
Remember that Marko is leaving public life entirely, not just Nightwish. Hopefully he will find his inspiration and joy again and return sometime. We'll miss him, but thankfully we have so many fantastic studio and live recordings to enjoy!
I have to be honest here:
When I was watching this reaction of this particular song, I had tears in my eyes. Why? Because this is a song that shows all three of Marcos magnificent talents: The Bass, the guitar and his voice.
Seeing all that, together with the awesome performance of the band alltogether, and the thought that Marco has left, caused this emotion.
It is a great song, one of my favourites. You hit it on the spot with your commentary.

Marko is the main composer of "Weak Fantasy" Tuomas told in an interview, Tuomas beeing the other composer. Lyrics by Tuomas and Marko.
I just hope that Marco really knows, how much he truely is missed. Not only in Finland but worldwide.

Funny that you noticed how Floor can get you through song and pure stage presence. In an interview, she said she was empathic and feels every song she performs, so you are experiencing her feelings and she really drives all of us emotionally up and down. The song is incredibly good! The performance is electrifying! That fire in Markos eyes when he comes in to sing. Meaning every word. This might be my favorite performance by them.. Devil and the deep dark ocean in Buenos Aires is close though..

Nightwish is the best natural healing drug on Earth. To my opinion this is the best band humanity ever had. The best symphonic composer, the best vocalist, the best vocal harmonies with Marko, the semi-lead vocalist, the best live band and the best theatrical musical show performance possible. You can listen to a song hundreds of times and still get totally elevated, electrically charged and deeply touched and inspired every time. It's not listening to music, it's a deep transcending life experience. And they play each song to total perfection, LIVE. These are no musicians. These are gods in a human body.
My favorite EFMB song and one of my favorite Marko songs. It packs a punch - right between the eyeballs, bam! The sense of angst, yeah, it's the sense of Marko.
Must say that you are one of my favorite Nightwish reactors. Man, you should have million subscribers!! The way your analyze Nightwish songs is breathtaking. So deep, energetic and with "Great to be alive" mentality. Hell yeah!!!

You have to react to The greatest show on earth from Tampere, in my opinion the Nightwish masterpiece. Do a little research first, the song is 21 min filled with musically and vocal awesomeness

Fingers crossed Marko may reconsider in 2022....that is what I am hoping for anyway. Rocky, you still have so much Marko/Nightwish magic to discover in the interim. I only discovered them a year ago and am devastated Marko won't be at the upcoming Wembley show :( How can he be replaced?
I think he'll be back once live shows start up proper again, the mans a natural performer who loves what he does. He's not going to let the rest of Nightwish have all the fun without him. ;)
@@Hexley_Vexley, yes, he loves to perform, but depression is a vile disease that can take enjoyment out of absolutely everything. It seems he's going through a rough phase now. He will emerge eventually. I hope the door is open for him to return then.

To be specific, an Irish Bouzouki - it has four pairs of strings and a flat back, wheareas the traditional instrument has a bowled back and three pairs of strings.
To me strongest lines are Mothers milk laced with poison for this newborn

Let's just hope he sorts thing out and comes back eventually. He raised some valid points about music industry though.

A pleasure to see how strongly you reacted to the lyrics. A lot of rock music, you can ignore the words-it's all about the music. Ignore Nightwish lyrics at your peril; they are deep and filled with meaning and should be considered serious poetry//lit/songs.
Finnish metal is the best metal of the world. Just like bands like a Wintersun, Children Of Bodom, Nightwish, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Evil Drive, Battle Beast, Beast In Black, Warmen, Elias "Evil" Viljanen, HIM, Apocalyptica, Tarot, Thunderstone, Raskasta Joulua, Jarkko Ahola, Sentenced, Brother Firetribe, Kenziner, Tarja Turunen. etc... Check all those bands because i bet you love some of them. Greetings Helsinki, Finland.
Finnish Metal is excellent, but Metal was born in England.
England have great bands like a Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Manowar, etc.
A Corpse Without Soul Swedish metal is pretty damn awsome too!! I'm a half Finn from Sweden and l listen to both Finnish and Swedish metal. How could you forget Charon?? 🙂 My favourite Finnish band with the best voice in Finland JP Leppäluoto 💙
My question is how do you replace someone like Marko? He has the ability to do so much within the band and does it all so well. I doubt it will be easy..
Hey Rocky, I know how I feel about Marko's announcement, but on the other hand, I love the fact that there's over 35 years worth of incredible music featuring Marko (He's been an integral part of NW for the past 20yrs.
About this song: It's from the 2015 album Endless Forms Most Beautiful (not very old at all), Troy plays a Bouzouki.

Oh, almost forgot This Is Nightwish, just when one thinks "I know what to expect" they throw a curve-ball no-one expected.
No one will ever be able to fill Marko's shoes.
The new bassist/vocalist must bring in his own shoes. There are no alternatives.
Marcus Lang, lead singer of Excalion (also Finnish) looks and sounds like Marko. But they will also need a bassist.
