Stayed there last year for my birthday October 5th had 28 degrees , had a family room in pelicanos block was ok very dated only stayed on a BB basis we found that ok my 11yr old loved the pool and begs to go back there , keep up the good work Lee we are staying in the regente hotel and melia next year would be great if you could some footage

I was supposed to have been at the Sol Pelicanos on the 22nd - 29th of October, but had to cancel due to waiting for eye surgery. I'll be booking again once I've had the surgery.
It’s not as busy, but if you go to western saloon etc it’s still usually got a great atmosphere. We got lucky with the weather last January, hopefully you do

Hi Lee, looks an OK hotel. Not stayed at that hotel wen I've been to Benidorm as yet. Looks OK tbf. 👍 food looks OK too. I'm back in Benidorm for Christmas and New year, just me and the hubby,so a nice peaceful time. We love it there at Christmas and New year 😍. Thanks for sharing this hotel Lee.
I believe the La Era Park apartments were used as reception in some of the first episodes. The hotel was very rarely used for interior scenes, there’s a couple in the first series where Madge almost chokes and where Geoff is arguing with mother by the lifts. Most interior hotel scenes after series 3 were shot at “the pink house” up by the Benidorm Palace. Some interior shots were used in the Sol Pel in the early series, but very few. The hotel rooms used are the Acuarium Apartments which overlook the pool. Some interior scenes, such as Cyril Babcock’s dance class, were filmed at the Melia
this hotel lives on its reputation of the series benny! i stayed here and thought it was run down, needs a massive uplift. the only thing good about it is the pool, everything else is outdated in my opinion.

You need 2 check you didn't bring bedbugs bk because there pics of them on trip adviser crawling on the beds and when we stayed there last year all our sheets were stained with bedbug poo and my matress was discusting ,i also had uncooked sausage plus our room was never clean properly ,i couldn't wait to get back home , never again ,if you look at your video when you were eating your sausage that was still pink in middle aswell 🤦♀️i hope it didn't make you bad xx

I liked it mate. Not a bad hotel at all.
So paid 315 each breakfast included including transfer seats on pksne and priority boarding .

Stayed at the Solana a few years ago. Wouldn't go back again unless they dropped the prices to a realistic level

You would think one of the restaurants would import some fancy British sausages. It would make for a good marketing opportunity.

It was okay. Not the best , but not the worst either. Plenty of cheap and great places to eat in Benidorm though
