The reality is most people do not know anything about the tax code. It's totally normal to have a loss one year, and then carry it over for future years, where you have a gain. It may even completely offset the gain, thus reducing your tax owing to zero. So these supposed trap questions of, "did you not pay tax" are so silly. You pay the taxes you owe based on the rules - No more, No less.
The worst part is, politicians like Bernie Sanders understand this, but they love having the soundbite, "Amazon paid zero taxes last year!" Because they know the average voter will just be outraged. Nevermind how many billions in revenue were lost the previous year. Damn the corporations for being successful.

Energy dependence on the most vile of countries. Idiots.
I saw this happen. It just felt like Bernie was supposed to win the primary. Her smile at 0:56 seems kinda smug too. Like she knows what he’s saying is true but awkwardly has to lie and divert attention to some random statistics.. She was a good speaker too, but Trump was a pure bully and unafraid of bringing up awkward truths.. Like in this clip he mentions Iraq and ISIS. Of course a republican president would’ve equally botched an Iraqi pull out and had the same political demands to do it. Damage was done just by mentioning it. (The avg listener doesn’t apply much logic)
Dave sent me here (although I do remember this exchange). I was disgusted when Trump won the GOP primary. However, these two debates convinced me to support him. So glad that I did.
This was his shining political moment imho, for two reasons. One obviously is the callout that Chapelle talked about. Two, I get a bit of a tax wonk vibe off him. Everything he says about depreciation or carried interest is fairly surface-level, but I'm a tax attorney myself and when you do this stuff you develop a sense of who is genuinely comfortable talking about Code and who isn't. And Trump, you can just kinda tell he knows a lot of this stuff. Not saying he can cite section and subsection to you or anything, but he clearly has read, learned, and used the parts that affect his business work. That was the first time I thought, this guy isn't just some rich asshole who has accountants handle everything, he actually knows WTF he's talking about.
Well he's been doing it since he was a young man. The current president has been in government his whole working life. Trump actually knows business and money because he actually does it.
I find it funny how she says she couldn’t fix the tax code because there was a republican president, but then goes on to say she knows how to work well with republicans and people to get shit done 😂
She was Secretary of State during the first term of the Obama administration, the first half of which saw a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and a majority that was almost immune to filibuster in the House. They had the people to literally ramrod through literally ANY legislation they wanted.......and spent that time on a completely broken jumbled mass of legislative dysentery we now know as "Obamacare." That failure to actually do anything was a significant part of the reason that the Tea Party, and later Trump, became a thing.
I hope everyone knows Anderson Cooper also benefits through the loop holes the only ones that caint are us.only because we don't know how to use them because they don't tell us.
Tax planning isn't bad or immoral. Generally speaking, the objective of tax planning isn't to minimize taxes but rather to maximize a taxpayer's after-tax return. For example, if the federal income tax rate is a constant 30%, an investor shouldn't buy a tax-exempt bond yielding 5% when he could instead buy a corporate bond yielding 9% before tax and 6.3% afterward. He pays taxes and is simultaneously left with a higher return.
Trump was pacing because he has heard this Democrat rhetoric before and, in my opinion, found it increasingly annoying that she would take this same show from a smoked filled private venue to the national stage to secure a presidential seat for Hillary Clinton, that is complete and utter bulls**t.
I love how he calls her out on the taxes and how she didn’t do anything about it then she goes on a tangent about the things she did do that were basic responsibilities of a senator lmao
You just wondered at the end of her monologue why didn’t she do anything then. If you knew the responsibility of a senator why didn’t you achieve what you said you would?
Hahaha- he was at his best in this debate. And he told the truth. All the billionaires that donated to her use the same tax breaks as Trump. @@lucasm4299 don’t vote for the guy who gets the job done?
That dirty smirk says it all of her shady dealings.
I can't believe how many people are just now aware of this because of Chappelle.
Right bubble heads
Better late than ever
Lol ikr? When this happened it was actually pretty popular cause she got absolutely wrecked in this debate. Or also when they're supposed to say something nice to each other and trump manages while she fails. But all these voters are morons. That being said, I don't like any of these people. I want tulsi gabbard or something.
@@GenZareNPCs I love Tulsi.
I don’t dedicate my personality to politics is why.
I love how he stops people from interrupting him 😂

Excuse me
Looking back, this was a great debate format.
Thank you Dave Chapelle
Thank you Donald Trump.
No politician's ever say this , very telling.
Wish debates would be like that in 2024
Crazy how ignorant the overall audience is, ppl literally voted and didn’t even know this happened until Chapelle talked about it 🤦🏽♂️
Liberals just vote based on what the liberal biased media tells them. Zero attempt at being actually well informed. And look what it’s given them. Sky high inflation, so now literally everything costs far more. Record high fuel prices. Record crime rates. Record high border illegal border crossings. Energy dependence on the most vile of countries. Idiots.
Haha right? Trump ruined this lady in 3 debates. People wonder how he won.
He lied to your face about her stance on carried interest.
@@LizaFan lol. Obama was against carried interest too in 2008. Trump and Hillary were against it in 2016. Nothing happens. See how that works?
One man of a kind, the world needs him back
Her smile drops as soon as Buffet, Soros is mentioned.
He ate her up. Love this guy!
She deserves it and more
She hates his guts for speaking truth omg lol
Finally watching this clip that Chappelle talked about. 7 years ago I did not appreciate this moment for what it was. I do now.
Dave sent me here (although I do remember this exchange). I was disgusted when Trump won the GOP primary. However, these two debates convinced me to support him. So glad that I did.
Best part of these debates was when Trump said "Because you'd be in jail"! 🤣🤣
it's even funnier cause now he's going to jail!🤣🤣🤣
@@quickfeed7592 Don't be so sure about that
@@quickfeed7592 well he didn't

She’s smiling because she knows he’s spilling the beans and telling the truth. 😂
@@jamesnm21 'Working' life??? 🤪
His a business guy, wouldnt be suprised.
People act as if he didn't write books on how to become rich.
To be fair he ghost wrote it and never read it.
I find it funny how she says she couldn’t fix the tax code because there was a republican president, but then goes on to say she knows how to work well with republicans and people to get shit done 😂
Hypocrisy is her forte.
She was Secretary of State during the first term of the Obama administration, the first half of which saw a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and a majority that was almost immune to filibuster in the House.
They had the people to literally ramrod through literally ANY legislation they wanted.......and spent that time on a completely broken jumbled mass of legislative dysentery we now know as "Obamacare."
That failure to actually do anything was a significant part of the reason that the Tea Party, and later Trump, became a thing.
God I'll always be thankful Trump stood in the way of Hillary becoming president
@nic1208 The world would be a post nuclear war wasteland if she had won . Same deal if Harris won . Just on that Trump saved the world twice IMO .
"We are doing everything that you think we're doing in here" - dave chappelle

Anderson thought he had a gotcha moment. But then Trump flipped the script and put Anderson and Hillary on defense. Beautifully done.

She's laughing because she can't believe he's telling the truth. 😂
this is the moment when American people realized
they would rather have honest business man than crooked politician.
This speech is why the MSM went five-alarm fire on attacking him.
Dave chappelle is the reason I’m here too. Trump 2024
Trump was pacing because he has heard this Democrat rhetoric before and, in my opinion, found it increasingly annoying that she would take this same show from a smoked filled private venue to the national stage to secure a presidential seat for Hillary Clinton, that is complete and utter bulls**t.
One of the best moments in recent debate history
He is right, that is why people wanted to silence him
So this is why the debates in 2020 were limited in time. Dang
It was for slow-Joe
Trump is honest. He says, I do these shitty things because your enemies and your friends allow me to…. legally.
He right tho! She have 30years to change the tax code but she didn't do it because her donor use it as well 😂😂

🤣 "Which I believe Hillary is LEAVING!"
No wonder the other elitists didn’t like him and wanted to smear him.
Trump is pure New York, in every sense - not enough people understand this and what it means.
How could people not love this man he is so American he's for the people
Sheep you are sheep, Trump has been ripping off the American Tax payer since the 80s. You are such a follower.
Yeah, I'm sure a billionaire who's never struggled a day in his life is very in touch with the common American.. 🙄🙄
That is the reason they hate him bc Trump isn't a globalist he's America 1st
Because many people dont care about America anymore.
He says things nobody else has the balls to say out loud.
No wonder they tried to take him out this time around.
Hahaha- he was at his best in this debate. And he told the truth. All the billionaires that donated to her use the same tax breaks as Trump. He’s the rich dude from the inside telling on the games that the rich play. If you notice she DID NOT answer the question about taxes- she started talking about womens rights and children and NOTHING about taxes. I did not know he was so spot on in this debate - no wonder he won.
Here we go again was her first words meaning she was flustered and dare I say it, impressed.

Trump needs to bring his debate style back to similar to this debate. He skulldragged her on this one.
Here is when he actually cared enough to be coached before a debate.
Not often you allow someone as blunt and unpredictable as Trump on stage with someone as morally and literally corrupt as Hilary. They won't ever do it again.
He was right and it won him anoher term
It just goes to show you that most people don't pay attention to what's going on in the world until a friggin celebrity talks about it.
