As a Sylus main, the lack of content makes it so hard to raise affinity and beat deepspace trials. I've been playing since his debut so I didn't have a headstart on the other guys and yet Zayne is still keeping pace with sylus affinity-wise. The lack of 3 and 4 stars makes it so hard to level him up, I'm not even trying to raise Zayne's affinity and it still matches Sylus'. Not to mention the fact we only have 1 anecdote to the 3 the others have, 1 non-myth companion to the 3 the others have and, with the limited myth update, 1 world underneath story to the others' 3. Sylus was released about 6 months after the game launched, and 6 months later, he has no where near the content that the other three had at that time 😢 it's so unfair
Well, the Devs did announce back in March that Sylus would be added in July after the next update. But yeah, I hate hat he's missing a 2nd bond story, two anecdotes and two 4☆ solar pairs from the start. Plus more poses.
I agree - it felt rushed, which is so unfortunate especially since the Sylus content is SO GOOD! I'm a Xavier and Sylus main, but it's been a struggle to build Sylus teams when we don't have enough cards. I also get every Xavier card as soon as it drops and the difference is 67 for Xavier and 31 for Sylus. A card shortage makes gaining affinity hard, too because a lot of our affinity boosts come from leveling cards. And with limited cards, they cannot really open up the Energy Orbits past 80, so we're missing the affinity there, too. Once you pass energy orbit 80, you're stuck.
what i think happened is they intentionally released less content for sylus because he's new and they feel the need to "give and take" with him. for example, they gave him a bring entrance into the game and they did a lot of marketing for him (also the spicy scenes arrived with his introduction to an extent) but then right after that they give him less content throughout and focus a bit more on the OGs branch stories until they do the same again and give the spotlight to sylus, then back to the OGs again, rince and repeat. this is also just my personal speculation but i think they do this because they are aware that some CN OG fans hate when LIs are added later to the game so they feel the need to give him "less" to please those fans while simultaneously also giving sylus a lot of importance to make him an attractive character for players. i guess the leaks could've also have something to do with the lack of content but i doubt it because from what we know, the leaks were never an issue for his content, the leaks only affected his official announcement/reveal. anything other than that is just pure speculation. unless we say that the entire 2.0 update (which was the update sylus was introduced in) was pushed forward as a marketing strategy but i doubt it because it was released on the half year anniversary so it seems like it was planned. i feel like a lot of people don't take into account the "shaw incident" when talking about sylus and caleb's addition to the game but then again, maybe not everyone is aware of it. in papergame's other otome game MLQC, they added a male character later to the game without an announcement in advance so the pre-existing players did not like that and shaw received so much hate from fans of the OGs that they started to release less content of him and he's barely an LI anymore. this time around for LaDS the devs announced (in CN) that sylus would be the next love interest and that we'd be meeting caleb again in the future (also hinting that he'd be a future LI). they did this to prevent the same thing from happening and although sylus also receives hate from some toxic CN OG fans, they marketed him well and made sure his character stood out enough to make him an attractive pick for both pre-existing and new players so he's in a much better place than shaw. i'm wondering how caleb's release is going to be but they're going to be in a tricky situation with him because he's going to come into the game so much later and he'll have to get either less content than sylus or at least the same amount as him otherwise CN fans would get upset for "not treating the LIs fairly". we'll have to wait and see.
@@M-m585 caleb already gets hate on the global side so that's to be expected when he releases unfortunately. he does have more fans in CN bc the CN community is bigger and that trope is more popular over there but he will definitely get hate like sylus because he's also not considered an OG love interest like xavier, zayne and rafayel. there are toxic fan groups of the OG3 called SWM who believe that only those 3 should be love interests in the game and they want sylus removed (which will never happen) so caleb will definitely not be free of such hate, especially since he's going to come into the game even later. that said, i've also seen some CN caleb girlies hating on sylus because they believe sylus "stole" caleb's height and other stupid things... so, in conclusion: if you think the global LaDS community is bad, you don't want to see the mess that is the CN community haha those are just the toxic groups of fans though; most people are just normal fans who just love their favorite but yeah there's also a lot of toxicity over popularity wars and petty things.
I joined the game because of Sylus and I never realized how little memories he compared to the others in the x space echo. It’s hard work to increase affinity with him while with the others, I don’t even have to try. If I want to keep up with his affinity, I literally have to ignore the others occasionally. I know he has a huge hate train behind him from some toxic players but he also has a massive fan base. Some that would also likely be willing to fork over some cash for more of his content. Hopefully Infold sees this and has more planned for him in the future for him.
Hi~Tama~ I joined the game after Sylus debute, and missed out some really nice banners, I do feel sad I joined in late, so I am always glad Sylus is getting new banners coming out. Hopefully Infolds will do a better job arranging the banners more evenly, I wish all the girlies get to enjoy quality time and attention. We all deserve equal treatment in this game. In my opinion, his current myth should have been the permanent one that would have been added to the xspace echo wish pool because Captivating Moment is not really a myth story, so, instead of the current myth being limited, they should have made the Midnight Stealth the limited one if they really had to do it in the first place, that is. I do see why he still has less content and lesser cards since he was only announced 6 months ago while the other characters have been there since beta but infold needs to update on Sylus's content. As much as I appreciate the spice and everything associated with him, I would also like to see some normal domestic memories that are tender and sweet. But i can see why the devs are going for the most spice route with him, given how Sylus's and MC's bonding is mostly about desires and greed...but i would still like to see him in normal non-suggestive situations. I guess, the higher affinity will have more softer sweet cards. Like for me, personally, it's kind of getting predictible with the all spice cards of his. I did like Bloodnight Drift, it definitely is a somewhat tender memory of his with just a little bit of suggestiveness.
sylus doesn't even have that many spicy memories though. he only has NDZ and lost oasis, the others have more spicier memories than him tbh... the only thing that sylus has more suggestive than the others are the secret times. 90% of his secret times are suggestive and full of innuendos so for that, i agree. i hope we get more domestic and fully secret times as well... however, i don't get when people say that most of his memories are spicy because they're most definitely not. ever since the misty invasion banner (which was shortly after sylus was released) most of his cards have been just sweet and romantic.
@@ugh5281When I said spicy memories, I was also talking about the 4 star cards (both Secret Times and Tender Moments) and not just the 5 star cards. His other myth, Midnight Stealth is also pretty suggestive and definitely very handsy. Then his Immobilized card, then the No Defence Zone...like, pretty much all of his cards are just full of innuendos and very s*xualized. Lost Oasis was pretty tame compared to his other cards. I am not complaining, I like that we are getting spicy cards of him and the other characters, but compared to the other LIs, almost all his cards are very suggestive and full of innuendos. Not to mention some of the stuff he says at the Destiny Cafe. While I do see how it all fits with his personality and the dynamics between MC and him, I would really love to see just more domestic cards of him. Just them spending time together, having dinner, hanging out, cooking together and just cuddling and being sweet and tender to each other without the added suggestiveness and innuendos. To me, it's just starting to get a bit repetitive and it just comes across as if these two can't think of anything else other than the whole "thing". The other LIs became more intimate with the MC as the affinity increased and the spicier stuff is almost always after affinity 70 as far as Secret times goes. Like, I could sense the level of their relationship but when I hear Sylus's Secret Times, it's just difficult for me to decipher at what stage the relationship is in because man is freaky almost all the time. To me, it just feels like they skipped the getting to know each other phase completely.
@@ugh5281compared to the other three LIs, his memories, myths, the bond story, his lines at Destiny Cafe, all of it are very suggestive and full of innuendos. While I do like the spice that infold is giving us, for me, personally, it's starting to be a little boring and predictable with the all handsy cards of Sylus. I think Nightplumes is the only card of his that is completely free of innuendos and compromising situations. So, I would love to experience the different sides of MC and Sylus's relationship dynamics apart from the spice. I want to see them more in domestic settings; just them hanging out, cooking dinner, visiting places, cuddling together and just being all sweet and tender. But as I said before, I can see why Devs went full spice with his cards, secret times, tender moments so early on. MC's and Sylus's relationship is pretty much based on shared interests and desire, so, it does make sense that they are very handsy and bold with each other. There's a constant tension between these two and given Sylus's personality and the kind of stuff he is involved in the N109 zone, it does match up but it would be nice to see some vanilla moments between them as well.
I appreciate you delving into this topic. I'm still relatively new to the game but have been keeping a pretty close eye on the fandom, so I know the relative lack of Sylus content has been leaving people frustrated. I don't feel that they needed to unveil Sylus with AS much content as the other boys had at launch, but the sheer disparity at this point is quite staggering, even with the new release of the Myth cards.
I'm also a day 1 player. It was hell on the first months with the oracle of stars and a few days per each banner. By march, many players were disgruntled that the game post in their CN weibo site regarding them going forward. This is what I remembered: 1. They will release 1 myths per ML this year. (Whether sylus is included or not it depends on who interprets this. Since sylus was not released I assumed it was only for the 3 ML) 2. the main story branch will be release along with sylus in July. (He wasn't released early but they released a trailer of him earlier than scheduled. Though there were leaks, sylus was expected to come a few days after that leak happened. I expected him and his story to be released even before the leaks happen just not the images) 3. they gave us a 5 star xavier Heartfelt for free though the players felt this was supposed to be the next paid banner but made it free instead. 4. Starting mid March they will increase output of welfare diamonds and activities 5. They apologize for the holiday backlash (lantern festival (sort of like a CN holiday near Valentine's day) February )
As someone who started after his debute, and now finding out about this inhave to say this information give me a very salty taste in my mouth. Not as much that they rob me of my man content but because I skipping a lot of his cards so far thinking "oh is ok THE OTHER PLAYERS ALSO HAD TO DO A SIMILAR SACRIFICE AT THE START TOO CUZ THEY START WITH THE EXACT SAME AMOUNT AS ME". But now, finding out all this is just feels bad
I was just screaming about this. How hard is it to give him at least more 3 star memories? Now he has only 2 yellow cards and one of them is the 4 star yellow card promise card. Same thing with his 4 star purple. I'm not even mad from content wise (I've suffered with less) it's the fact they have those stellarum(?) qualifications on the deepspace trials KNOWING people who just got in wouldn't be able to obtain certain memories.

i started in august and i remember the first 5 star memory i could get for free from game was one of the main 3 no sylus card to pick from, n back then i also randomly pulled another raf card so decided to make a raf team. then i realized making a sylus team is actually way harder than i thought, he has less memories in the shop, no regular myth to get from ssr crate, and now most of his memories together with myth are limited add to this again lack of 4 stars it makes it a struggle to do trials with or most content unless you’ve been playing a long time and prioritizing sylus cards or got lucky with them otherwise there’s no way u can have a strong team
I dont really care if they leaked Sylus if it saved the game then im thankful. I can wait for more Sylus stuff . 😅His branch story is after Xavier's and then who knows whaythe anniversary will give us. 😂 Im fine with the amount of content i have with him. 😅 Then again im a Sylus and Rafayel girlie so maybe thats why im not suffering. Honestly his new card is so overpowered too so the trials are even easier. Hell they were never hard in the first place. 😅 i think some players just arent good at combat.
Sylus limit myth card is heavily overpowered. I pulled r1 on the first day the myth got released, and I went to do general orbit and Hunter contest. His limited myth card carried me despite it being r1, even if I put it together with 4 4star cards, it still does crazy dmg. I got r3 sylus yesterday, and i almost reached 180 in orbit general from using sylus only. Sylus is my main. The other guys' cards are all at level 0😅 no joke his myth cards are ridiculously strong, it feels stronger than lumiere. I guess his myth cards are strong since it's claymore Sidenote: before sylus limited myth my hunter contest I always needed 6 stars more to get full star, I use only sylus. It's been quite hard because of the limited stellactrum color he has so I was stuck on general orbit 110 but after I got his limited myth r3 I'm now at 167 for general orbit

I watch all of your videos and yes, I agree with your thoughts, as a Sylus main myself (joined straight after he released) hate how little content I have for him, and also makes me sad that I barely have any limited time contents for the other boys, it makes playing the game a bit harder but I still adore the game to pieces and just hope we get more content for him. I played Sylus the day he was debuted and I just reached his affinity level to 100 today and I tell you guys there were tons of money involved just to reach Sylus at that level with current content. I got all his cards, all upgrade Level 80, 9 out of 12 his 5-Star card are R3. Meanwhile I get to level 80 with other guys, with minimal effort 😢
Same for me, my sylus affinity is at 112. I have r3 for all his 5 star and all his cards are level 80. My plushie collection is 75% and my badge collection is 97%. 100% for card collection. But somehow, for the other 3 li, they are somehow at affinity 70, although all their cards are at 0, and i never played any clawmachine or draw badges with them.....
Yup, I cant even level his Affinity anymore bc I already max out on leveling the cards and I already finished his orbit energy trials. This is after obtaining all the cards for his myth banner. But I’m a Xavier main first so I can always work on Xavier while I wait for Sylus and vice versa. Also, during the time of Sylus leaks, entwined shadows was also leak I believe but they were released first before Sylus’s introduction so that probably didnt matter.
I agree, and Sylus needs more content, so does Rafayel but as his Merman God forum, if they gonna push their none-human forum they need to add in 5STAR with their none-human forum. I started playing right after debut and yet when they make it so hard to upgrade cards after 40level I stopped because I couldn't pay out $$$ just to be able to play the game fights that increase in level so quickly I could not afford to keep up. The cost to get enough to pull many to get a 5Star was financially uncomfortable for me. So I stopped playing for 3 months because it was frustrating like rubbing in the face of those can't financially afford the banners and to boost the characters to fight and attain what's needed to boost the guys and get stuff. I only got back in to play and still it ticks me off I can't attain the banners I want and when they shove another 5star not the one I was pulling for and then make it impossible to fight and attainbthe goals to move forward in game. And they don't have gift cards family and friends can give a player to help them which does a disservice to players who can't afford to pay to move ahead.
I started the game for Sylus, and its such a paiiin. I had to even do a second account, his last solo banner and his last quad banner I couldnt even get his cards, I only got the cat one in the second account. Yes I got the Limited Myth in my principal account but still. There are not enough memories, and being a F2P is such a pain with the lack of farming you get after you reach like level 70. They need to really fix their schedule...
I do admit Sylus does have less content but I'm more interested in poses for the photobooth and outfits. Also perhaps the memories as well. But I haven't had any issues with the deepspace trials really, been kinda blazing through them, even more so now thanks to the myth pair. Pretty sure the devs made dragon Sylus op as all heck. Which is kinda funny considering Sylus is pretty overpowered to begin with. But honestly I don't really mind too much. I kinda expected it because he is fairly new and the game was only released earlier in the year. So it's sort of expected he would have less stuff. Just wish the devs wouldn't pander to the toxic fans who hate on Sylus as much as they have been doing. There was some stuff released in the exchange shop that was for the other three love interests fairly recently but Sylus didn't get anything so that kinda ticked me off. I like posing and taking photos with my guy. Perhaps a little bit too much. But that's my thing. Anyways, here's hoping things change in the new year and we get re-run banners. Also Infold ignores the bad fans and gives us more Sylus content of everything. Because everyone deserves love equally, both the guys and the fans. It's only fair.
Unfortunately sylus gets less content because the og3 stans on the cn server throw hissy fits seeing a new LI get the same attention. Infold has to find a balance to avoid drama like their first otome game had when they added a new LI later after launch that's why sylus and caleb were announced ahead of time.
The bond story also sucks (not in context wise) but because it's so heavily tied into his story branch that it feels like it doesn't even count? I'm surprised despite the lack of content I still have the highest affinity with him 😂
I have 2 accounts playing LAD. And it is true, its hard to pass battles and to level up affinity using Sylus. My account who's mainly for Sylus, is slow to get and play with, unless you have money and willing to spend it. But if you do, battles are still hard to win due to lackness of memory and protocore field that fits some of battle requirements. On the other hand and my 2nd account, focus mainly for Rafayel and Xavier and I got to play them so easily, level up, and collect since their memories are already established and complete. I never have to spend money in playing Rafayel and Xavier and leveling them up, because all the protocore colors are all available for them. Same for Zayne!
as a sylus fan and playing lads since launch or april i guess idk and xavier,zayne and rafyel were around since launch and cool i have been playing zayne as my main til i switched to sylus and of course he doesnt have new content since july 15th and hes new (almost 5 months in game next sun) and as for the bond banner im missing one of the 5* xavier (bonfire one) and 3 rafyel 5* cards (blossoms,fragrance and the sunrise) and hopefully sylus 5* lore cards at the time of this recording and the 4* ones too and 3* if you get sylus card in the event and yeah if it werent for the leaks we would all be totally surprised so hopefully we will get more content of him in the new year also zaynes snowy serenite still makes me teary eyed everytime also sylus myth kiss was an almost since it was a fade sadly so hopefully sylus can join in too also a 6 month gap that xavier got a solo banner? wow and i also agree that sylus is trying to catch up on the cards so in conclusion his debut was amazing very surprised and happy and didnt get the 2 5* sylus lore cards but trying to get the 2nd one of his 4* cards and his dragon form is awesome and just saw his myth was heartbreaking very wholesome scene with him on the grass with mc card and yeah hopefully we will get re run banner as a 3rd option in the future updates hopefully we will get christmas cards too before the end of the year

So I literally just started the game the week of Thanksgiving. I have had one hell of a learning curve and dropped way too much money to make myself viable for Sylus myth. I managed to get to level 48 today but oh my god the money to buy stamina and stuff. Jesus. (On the other hand I now have a crap ton of memories thanks to me wishing so much to make sure I get and rank both abyssal blossom and mark. I just need one more Abyssal Mark to max its rank.) Because there are no reruns, I am already down a crap ton of limited banners because I am practically a year late to this game. I am a Zayne and Sylus girl. The fact I can never have all of Zayne’s memories absolutely just kills me. And Sylus!! He currently has 9 5⭐️ memories and 4 of them were limited runs!!! No Grassland or Radiant Brilliance for me. No Lost Oasis or No Defence Zone. Like really? There needs to be an event once or twice a year that lets players try for past limited memories I swear to god.
Still sylus is the highest in affinity for me if anything the lack of content made min max everything the game can offer and I had to actually learn how the game mechanics work. While other LI girlies have everything in easy mode, Sylus girlies have to pull in every banner level up every card even 3 stars lmao. At least his new myth pair is op as hell, a consolation prize I guess 😂 had to rank 1 at least and now I'm back to saving for the next sylus banner. The grind never stops here.
Same i have to r 3 his cards, maxed it out til 80, and use protocores just to stand a chance in deepspace trials. Sylus affinity with me is 100 and i still struggle. It not a skill issue i been playing video games since 12 .😅
@carmenrociomata I got to affinity 92 today :') can't really justify spending a lot so I don't really rank up limited five stars since I'm more into collecting all his memories but had to rank up his myth pair at least once, hopefully after the anniversary there will be reruns fellow gamer? I've been into video games since I was 6 but skill issue is unfortunately very real, especially with timed fights that's my biggest weakness 💔
Not only lack of content but now three cards *spoilers here a bit* No Defense Zone card: Didn't happen. It was all a dream His new limited myth cards: Again, didn't happen. It seems it was all in the MCs mind or something. Plus no actual scene shown of them kissing, just about to kiss So we're getting that Zayne-esque kiss like his first "kiss" card which fades to black which is annoying. On top of all I've mentioned, they haven't released any new Energy Orbit Trials for him. I've been passed his last Direct Orbit which is 80 like a couple of months ago I believe. You would think Infold would release new Trials for him to use his new myth card set for but...no. There's still no update. Not only is Sylus's lack of content due to being rushed but I think the game as a whole was rushed. From the bad translation/localization, to the absurdly machine-gun style of releasing banners and only staying for a week. The lack of Top Up Rewards for spenders, the lack of updates in the in-game mailboxes for upcoming events to get hyped up. Some of these things I mentioned (Top Up Rewards and In-game updates for upcoming banners or events) are staples in gacha yet Infold haven't done any such thing. Plus, there's rarely if ever any redeem codes unlike with other gacha games. As for the leaks and Sylus debuting early. I feel in some way they had to. As you said, in March the CN server was getting angry with Infold with the constant release of banners without any way to gather Diamonds without spending money. Thus they started spending less. Even when the three mains limited myth cards, as you said on your chart, it still wasn't enough to raise revenue. I've also seen countless former players said they got bored of the game because there was barely any updates to the Main Story, which is absolutely true. How can you be invested in these characters you barely even know. So a lot of people left. I think maybe someone leaked Sylus out of desperation because it was such an ambitious game especially for the genre (who would ever have thought an Otome would be the first game to have a 3D romance, you would think Waifu games would be catered to first obviously since they dominate the market, not Otome which is very niche). And since the CEO of Infold said that the devs who are involved in making LADS are majority women, I'm sure these women didn't want the game to get EoS especially since female focused games rarely ever have high production values compared to Waifus. So thus the leak and thus the hype it garnered. It is interesting that you said that the leaker didn't leak anything else but Sylus and not Caleb, who is heavily rumored to the 5th upcoming LI. But yeah, in some way, Sylus did save this game from being cancelled. But at the same time the lack of content and rushness is so obvious. Hopefully they'll fix things as we get to Anniversary and version 3.0. Edit: I think the reason they didn't leak Caleb is because they haven't produce stuff for him at the time. And also they didn't realize how hard and long it is to make the content compared to 2D games. So they're probably a bit behind schedule on that. I think when Sylus debut is when they started making Caleb content, so thus why no one leaked his stuff.
Heck no it not enough content for sylus. I hope Caleb has a easier release . It not fair for sylus main to not even have enough cards to enjoy the game . Most are limited time banners for sylus .
Sylus is my fourth and Rafayel is my first ❤😅. Xavier second and Zayne third 🥉. I'm unable to complete my Sylus event. It is so confusing ugh 😫 AND I NEED NEED RERUN SO BAD!! 😞 all my precious memories that I couldn't get because I joined the game late 😭
I think that sylus got so many less memories its because infold want something to atract People to play the game but focusing on the main trio. Notices that kisses and spicy scenes came with sylus' debut. Also, another thing that support my theory is the fact that we have two myth story for each of the main trio plus the branch story. But for sylus we only have one myth that came way too late, I mean after sylus' debut one could expect to have his myth, but infold was releasing main trio content instead....
why would they put so much effort into a character and his story just to "get more attention through the spicy scenes"? couldn't they just do that with the original 3 then? i mean this respectfully but i heavily dislike when people talk about sylus as if he was "lesser than" the other 3 because you're implying that a character crafted with so much care and attention to detail is just there for the sexy moments while the others are "deeper" when you know that's not true. his recent released myth is, in my opinion, one of the best things they've created in this game so far in terms of quality of storytelling and writing. if he was just created for shallow fanservice then they why would they bother creating such a well-crafted backstory for him? he's obviously just as important as the others in terms of story and lore. idk if you know this but sylus' name was trademarked in 2023 and in the old beta story, his brooch appeared in the explosion scene from the main story. so, regardless of what changes they've made since beta, his character has been planned for a while. in Q&A around the game's release in CN the devs even gave players a heads up announcing that sylus would be the next love interest so CN fans (and some global fans as well) have known for months that sylus was planned to be the next LI. also, sylus has two myths like the others, one of them is the standard one set in present time. his second myth (the one released now) did not came late at all, it came 4 months into his release which is around the same time it took for rafayel to get his limited myth (rafayel was the first one to get his limited myth). for zayne for example, it took nearly 6 months for him to get his limited myth so no, sylus' myth didn't come too late. i assure you that what the OGs have now, sylus will have in the future as well but it will take longer to catch up bc he was added later. the same thing applies to when caleb releases. some of the CN OG fans would get upset if sylus were to come into the game alter and have immediately everything that they had to wait for the OGs to have, which is why i believe they try to pace themselves with sylus content. although we can't know for sure the reason, it's all just speculation.
I'm pretty sure he was planned from the beggining becuz he was mentioned as the fourth LI in an offecial post answering a question for the beta players
Wow - I am so there with ALL your comments. I am a Sylus Girl 100% but I play all 4 LI due to when I started the game and to say the content is lopsided is sad... in the Trials Sylus only goes to lvl 80 / romance cap is 99 so no RING for me & the "by your side" clips - we got shafted. If sylus was released too early, is there a chance that there were multi-banners with the original 3 waiting to be released but now can't because sylus is there? They can't do a multi-banner with an LI missing. It would definitely anger the community.

It gets to a point that you can't do many deep space trials. I'm already done with his energy orbit. So what am I supposed to do? Open space trials. I can only brute force the trials said realistically sylus lacks the amount of cards to match the stelactrums. As a sylus main I can't enjoy the game fully due to lack of cards. Mind you I personally do put money towards sylus . Most of my sylus cards are level up 80, awaken , maxed out r3 yet I still have a hard time even wi ith protocores. I no stranger in playing fighting games so my skill sets is not the issue either 😅. It the game lack of cards causing this issues. I maxed out the kitty cards, and plushies just for sylus .what else could I do to help in my gameplay?

As a Sylus main, the lack of content makes it so hard to raise affinity and beat deepspace trials. I've been playing since his debut so I didn't have a headstart on the other guys and yet Zayne is still keeping pace with sylus affinity-wise. The lack of 3 and 4 stars makes it so hard to level him up, I'm not even trying to raise Zayne's affinity and it still matches Sylus'. Not to mention the fact we only have 1 anecdote to the 3 the others have, 1 non-myth companion to the 3 the others have and, with the limited myth update, 1 world underneath story to the others' 3. Sylus was released about 6 months after the game launched, and 6 months later, he has no where near the content that the other three had at that time 😢 it's so unfair
Well, the Devs did announce back in March that Sylus would be added in July after the next update.
But yeah, I hate hat he's missing a 2nd bond story, two anecdotes and two 4☆ solar pairs from the start. Plus more poses.
I agree - it felt rushed, which is so unfortunate especially since the Sylus content is SO GOOD! I'm a Xavier and Sylus main, but it's been a struggle to build Sylus teams when we don't have enough cards. I also get every Xavier card as soon as it drops and the difference is 67 for Xavier and 31 for Sylus. A card shortage makes gaining affinity hard, too because a lot of our affinity boosts come from leveling cards. And with limited cards, they cannot really open up the Energy Orbits past 80, so we're missing the affinity there, too. Once you pass energy orbit 80, you're stuck.

what i think happened is they intentionally released less content for sylus because he's new and they feel the need to "give and take" with him. for example, they gave him a bring entrance into the game and they did a lot of marketing for him (also the spicy scenes arrived with his introduction to an extent) but then right after that they give him less content throughout and focus a bit more on the OGs branch stories until they do the same again and give the spotlight to sylus, then back to the OGs again, rince and repeat.
this is also just my personal speculation but i think they do this because they are aware that some CN OG fans hate when LIs are added later to the game so they feel the need to give him "less" to please those fans while simultaneously also giving sylus a lot of importance to make him an attractive character for players. i guess the leaks could've also have something to do with the lack of content but i doubt it because from what we know, the leaks were never an issue for his content, the leaks only affected his official announcement/reveal. anything other than that is just pure speculation. unless we say that the entire 2.0 update (which was the update sylus was introduced in) was pushed forward as a marketing strategy but i doubt it because it was released on the half year anniversary so it seems like it was planned.
i feel like a lot of people don't take into account the "shaw incident" when talking about sylus and caleb's addition to the game but then again, maybe not everyone is aware of it. in papergame's other otome game MLQC, they added a male character later to the game without an announcement in advance so the pre-existing players did not like that and shaw received so much hate from fans of the OGs that they started to release less content of him and he's barely an LI anymore.
this time around for LaDS the devs announced (in CN) that sylus would be the next love interest and that we'd be meeting caleb again in the future (also hinting that he'd be a future LI). they did this to prevent the same thing from happening and although sylus also receives hate from some toxic CN OG fans, they marketed him well and made sure his character stood out enough to make him an attractive pick for both pre-existing and new players so he's in a much better place than shaw. i'm wondering how caleb's release is going to be but they're going to be in a tricky situation with him because he's going to come into the game so much later and he'll have to get either less content than sylus or at least the same amount as him otherwise CN fans would get upset for "not treating the LIs fairly". we'll have to wait and see.
I think if caleb is gonna get hate i think most of it will be from the global side becuz the adopted brother is a popular romance trope in china
@@M-m585 caleb already gets hate on the global side so that's to be expected when he releases unfortunately. he does have more fans in CN bc the CN community is bigger and that trope is more popular over there but he will definitely get hate like sylus because he's also not considered an OG love interest like xavier, zayne and rafayel. there are toxic fan groups of the OG3 called SWM who believe that only those 3 should be love interests in the game and they want sylus removed (which will never happen) so caleb will definitely not be free of such hate, especially since he's going to come into the game even later.
that said, i've also seen some CN caleb girlies hating on sylus because they believe sylus "stole" caleb's height and other stupid things... so, in conclusion: if you think the global LaDS community is bad, you don't want to see the mess that is the CN community haha those are just the toxic groups of fans though; most people are just normal fans who just love their favorite but yeah there's also a lot of toxicity over popularity wars and petty things.
I joined the game because of Sylus and I never realized how little memories he compared to the others in the x space echo. It’s hard work to increase affinity with him while with the others, I don’t even have to try. If I want to keep up with his affinity, I literally have to ignore the others occasionally. I know he has a huge hate train behind him from some toxic players but he also has a massive fan base. Some that would also likely be willing to fork over some cash for more of his content. Hopefully Infold sees this and has more planned for him in the future for him.
Both Sylus and Xavier girls are being robbed as it is for know. I wish Inflod will be able to balance the scheduals they planned and start re-runs.

Hi~Tama~ I joined the game after Sylus debute, and missed out some really nice banners, I do feel sad I joined in late, so I am always glad Sylus is getting new banners coming out. Hopefully Infolds will do a better job arranging the banners more evenly, I wish all the girlies get to enjoy quality time and attention. We all deserve equal treatment in this game. In my opinion, his current myth should have been the permanent one that would have been added to the xspace echo wish pool because Captivating Moment is not really a myth story, so, instead of the current myth being limited, they should have made the Midnight Stealth the limited one if they really had to do it in the first place, that is. I do see why he still has less content and lesser cards since he was only announced 6 months ago while the other characters have been there since beta but infold needs to update on Sylus's content. As much as I appreciate the spice and everything associated with him, I would also like to see some normal domestic memories that are tender and sweet. But i can see why the devs are going for the most spice route with him, given how Sylus's and MC's bonding is mostly about desires and greed...but i would still like to see him in normal non-suggestive situations. I guess, the higher affinity will have more softer sweet cards. Like for me, personally, it's kind of getting predictible with the all spice cards of his. I did like Bloodnight Drift, it definitely is a somewhat tender memory of his with just a little bit of suggestiveness.
sylus doesn't even have that many spicy memories though. he only has NDZ and lost oasis, the others have more spicier memories than him tbh... the only thing that sylus has more suggestive than the others are the secret times. 90% of his secret times are suggestive and full of innuendos so for that, i agree. i hope we get more domestic and fully secret times as well... however, i don't get when people say that most of his memories are spicy because they're most definitely not. ever since the misty invasion banner (which was shortly after sylus was released) most of his cards have been just sweet and romantic.
@@ugh5281When I said spicy memories, I was also talking about the 4 star cards (both Secret Times and Tender Moments) and not just the 5 star cards. His other myth, Midnight Stealth is also pretty suggestive and definitely very handsy. Then his Immobilized card, then the No Defence Zone...like, pretty much all of his cards are just full of innuendos and very s*xualized. Lost Oasis was pretty tame compared to his other cards. I am not complaining, I like that we are getting spicy cards of him and the other characters, but compared to the other LIs, almost all his cards are very suggestive and full of innuendos. Not to mention some of the stuff he says at the Destiny Cafe. While I do see how it all fits with his personality and the dynamics between MC and him, I would really love to see just more domestic cards of him. Just them spending time together, having dinner, hanging out, cooking together and just cuddling and being sweet and tender to each other without the added suggestiveness and innuendos. To me, it's just starting to get a bit repetitive and it just comes across as if these two can't think of anything else other than the whole "thing". The other LIs became more intimate with the MC as the affinity increased and the spicier stuff is almost always after affinity 70 as far as Secret times goes. Like, I could sense the level of their relationship but when I hear Sylus's Secret Times, it's just difficult for me to decipher at what stage the relationship is in because man is freaky almost all the time. To me, it just feels like they skipped the getting to know each other phase completely.

@@ugh5281compared to the other three LIs, his memories, myths, the bond story, his lines at Destiny Cafe, all of it are very suggestive and full of innuendos. While I do like the spice that infold is giving us, for me, personally, it's starting to be a little boring and predictable with the all handsy cards of Sylus. I think Nightplumes is the only card of his that is completely free of innuendos and compromising situations. So, I would love to experience the different sides of MC and Sylus's relationship dynamics apart from the spice. I want to see them more in domestic settings; just them hanging out, cooking dinner, visiting places, cuddling together and just being all sweet and tender. But as I said before, I can see why Devs went full spice with his cards, secret times, tender moments so early on. MC's and Sylus's relationship is pretty much based on shared interests and desire, so, it does make sense that they are very handsy and bold with each other. There's a constant tension between these two and given Sylus's personality and the kind of stuff he is involved in the N109 zone, it does match up but it would be nice to see some vanilla moments between them as well.
I appreciate you delving into this topic. I'm still relatively new to the game but have been keeping a pretty close eye on the fandom, so I know the relative lack of Sylus content has been leaving people frustrated. I don't feel that they needed to unveil Sylus with AS much content as the other boys had at launch, but the sheer disparity at this point is quite staggering, even with the new release of the Myth cards.
I'm also a day 1 player. It was hell on the first months with the oracle of stars and a few days per each banner. By march, many players were disgruntled that the game post in their CN weibo site regarding them going forward.
This is what I remembered:
1. They will release 1 myths per ML this year. (Whether sylus is included or not it depends on who interprets this. Since sylus was not released I assumed it was only for the 3 ML)
2. the main story branch will be release along with sylus in July. (He wasn't released early but they released a trailer of him earlier than scheduled. Though there were leaks, sylus was expected to come a few days after that leak happened. I expected him and his story to be released even before the leaks happen just not the images)
3. they gave us a 5 star xavier Heartfelt for free though the players felt this was supposed to be the next paid banner but made it free instead.
4. Starting mid March they will increase output of welfare diamonds and activities
5. They apologize for the holiday backlash (lantern festival (sort of like a CN holiday near Valentine's day) February )
As someone who started after his debute, and now finding out about this inhave to say this information give me a very salty taste in my mouth. Not as much that they rob me of my man content but because I skipping a lot of his cards so far thinking "oh is ok THE OTHER PLAYERS ALSO HAD TO DO A SIMILAR SACRIFICE AT THE START TOO CUZ THEY START WITH THE EXACT SAME AMOUNT AS ME". But now, finding out all this is just feels bad
I was just screaming about this. How hard is it to give him at least more 3 star memories? Now he has only 2 yellow cards and one of them is the 4 star yellow card promise card. Same thing with his 4 star purple. I'm not even mad from content wise (I've suffered with less) it's the fact they have those stellarum(?) qualifications on the deepspace trials KNOWING people who just got in wouldn't be able to obtain certain memories.

i started in august and i remember the first 5 star memory i could get for free from game was one of the main 3 no sylus card to pick from, n back then i also randomly pulled another raf card so decided to make a raf team. then i realized making a sylus team is actually way harder than i thought, he has less memories in the shop, no regular myth to get from ssr crate, and now most of his memories together with myth are limited add to this again lack of 4 stars it makes it a struggle to do trials with or most content unless you’ve been playing a long time and prioritizing sylus cards or got lucky with them otherwise there’s no way u can have a strong team

Sylus limit myth card is heavily overpowered. I pulled r1 on the first day the myth got released, and I went to do general orbit and Hunter contest. His limited myth card carried me despite it being r1, even if I put it together with 4 4star cards, it still does crazy dmg. I got r3 sylus yesterday, and i almost reached 180 in orbit general from using sylus only. Sylus is my main. The other guys' cards are all at level 0😅 no joke his myth cards are ridiculously strong, it feels stronger than lumiere. I guess his myth cards are strong since it's claymore
Sidenote: before sylus limited myth my hunter contest I always needed 6 stars more to get full star, I use only sylus. It's been quite hard because of the limited stellactrum color he has so I was stuck on general orbit 110 but after I got his limited myth r3 I'm now at 167 for general orbit

I watch all of your videos and yes, I agree with your thoughts, as a Sylus main myself (joined straight after he released) hate how little content I have for him, and also makes me sad that I barely have any limited time contents for the other boys, it makes playing the game a bit harder but I still adore the game to pieces and just hope we get more content for him. I played Sylus the day he was debuted and I just reached his affinity level to 100 today and I tell you guys there were tons of money involved just to reach Sylus at that level with current content. I got all his cards, all upgrade Level 80, 9 out of 12 his 5-Star card are R3. Meanwhile I get to level 80 with other guys, with minimal effort 😢
Same for me, my sylus affinity is at 112. I have r3 for all his 5 star and all his cards are level 80. My plushie collection is 75% and my badge collection is 97%. 100% for card collection. But somehow, for the other 3 li, they are somehow at affinity 70, although all their cards are at 0, and i never played any clawmachine or draw badges with them.....

Yup, I cant even level his Affinity anymore bc I already max out on leveling the cards and I already finished his orbit energy trials. This is after obtaining all the cards for his myth banner. But I’m a Xavier main first so I can always work on Xavier while I wait for Sylus and vice versa. Also, during the time of Sylus leaks, entwined shadows was also leak I believe but they were released first before Sylus’s introduction so that probably didnt matter.
I agree, and Sylus needs more content, so does Rafayel but as his Merman God forum, if they gonna push their none-human forum they need to add in 5STAR with their none-human forum.
I started playing right after debut and yet when they make it so hard to upgrade cards after 40level I stopped because I couldn't pay out $$$ just to be able to play the game fights that increase in level so quickly I could not afford to keep up. The cost to get enough to pull many to get a 5Star was financially uncomfortable for me. So I stopped playing for 3 months because it was frustrating like rubbing in the face of those can't financially afford the banners and to boost the characters to fight and attain what's needed to boost the guys and get stuff. I only got back in to play and still it ticks me off I can't attain the banners I want and when they shove another 5star not the one I was pulling for and then make it impossible to fight and attainbthe goals to move forward in game. And they don't have gift cards family and friends can give a player to help them which does a disservice to players who can't afford to pay to move ahead.
I started the game for Sylus, and its such a paiiin. I had to even do a second account, his last solo banner and his last quad banner I couldnt even get his cards, I only got the cat one in the second account. Yes I got the Limited Myth in my principal account but still. There are not enough memories, and being a F2P is such a pain with the lack of farming you get after you reach like level 70. They need to really fix their schedule...
I do admit Sylus does have less content but I'm more interested in poses for the photobooth and outfits. Also perhaps the memories as well.
But I haven't had any issues with the deepspace trials really, been kinda blazing through them, even more so now thanks to the myth pair. Pretty sure the devs made dragon Sylus op as all heck. Which is kinda funny considering Sylus is pretty overpowered to begin with.
But honestly I don't really mind too much. I kinda expected it because he is fairly new and the game was only released earlier in the year. So it's sort of expected he would have less stuff. Just wish the devs wouldn't pander to the toxic fans who hate on Sylus as much as they have been doing. There was some stuff released in the exchange shop that was for the other three love interests fairly recently but Sylus didn't get anything so that kinda ticked me off.

Unfortunately sylus gets less content because the og3 stans on the cn server throw hissy fits seeing a new LI get the same attention. Infold has to find a balance to avoid drama like their first otome game had when they added a new LI later after launch that's why sylus and caleb were announced ahead of time.

I have 2 accounts playing LAD. And it is true, its hard to pass battles and to level up affinity using Sylus. My account who's mainly for Sylus, is slow to get and play with, unless you have money and willing to spend it. But if you do, battles are still hard to win due to lackness of memory and protocore field that fits some of battle requirements. On the other hand and my 2nd account, focus mainly for Rafayel and Xavier and I got to play them so easily, level up, and collect since their memories are already established and complete. I never have to spend money in playing Rafayel and Xavier and leveling them up, because all the protocore colors are all available for them. Same for Zayne!
as a sylus fan and playing lads since launch or april i guess idk and xavier,zayne and rafyel were around since launch and cool i have been playing zayne as my main til i switched to sylus and of course he doesnt have new content since july 15th and hes new (almost 5 months in game next sun) and as for the bond banner im missing one of the 5* xavier (bonfire one) and 3 rafyel 5* cards (blossoms,fragrance and the sunrise) and hopefully sylus 5* lore cards at the time of this recording and the 4* ones too and 3* if you get sylus card in the event and yeah if it werent for the leaks we would all be totally surprised so hopefully we will get more content of him in the new year also zaynes snowy serenite still makes me teary eyed everytime also sylus myth kiss was an almost since it was a fade sadly so hopefully sylus can join in too also a 6 month gap that xavier got a solo banner? wow and i also agree that sylus is trying to catch up on the cards so in conclusion his debut was amazing very surprised and happy and didnt get the 2 5* sylus lore cards but trying to get the 2nd one of his 4* cards and his dragon form is awesome and just saw his myth was heartbreaking very wholesome scene with him on the grass with mc card and yeah hopefully we will get re run banner as a 3rd option in the future updates hopefully we will get christmas cards too before the end of the year

So I literally just started the game the week of Thanksgiving. I have had one hell of a learning curve and dropped way too much money to make myself viable for Sylus myth. I managed to get to level 48 today but oh my god the money to buy stamina and stuff. Jesus. (On the other hand I now have a crap ton of memories thanks to me wishing so much to make sure I get and rank both abyssal blossom and mark. I just need one more Abyssal Mark to max its rank.)
Because there are no reruns, I am already down a crap ton of limited banners because I am practically a year late to this game.
I am a Zayne and Sylus girl. The fact I can never have all of Zayne’s memories absolutely just kills me. And Sylus!! He currently has 9 5⭐️ memories and 4 of them were limited runs!!! No Grassland or Radiant Brilliance for me. No Lost Oasis or No Defence Zone.
Like really? There needs to be an event once or twice a year that lets players try for past limited memories I swear to god.
Still sylus is the highest in affinity for me if anything the lack of content made min max everything the game can offer and I had to actually learn how the game mechanics work. While other LI girlies have everything in easy mode, Sylus girlies have to pull in every banner level up every card even 3 stars lmao. At least his new myth pair is op as hell, a consolation prize I guess 😂 had to rank 1 at least and now I'm back to saving for the next sylus banner. The grind never stops here.

@carmenrociomata I got to affinity 92 today :') can't really justify spending a lot so I don't really rank up limited five stars since I'm more into collecting all his memories but had to rank up his myth pair at least once, hopefully after the anniversary there will be reruns

His new limited myth cards: Again, didn't happen. It seems it was all in the MCs mind or something.
Plus no actual scene shown of them kissing, just about to kiss So we're getting that Zayne-esque kiss like his first "kiss" card which fades to black which is annoying.
On top of all I've mentioned, they haven't released any new Energy Orbit Trials for him. I've been passed his last Direct Orbit which is 80 like a couple of months ago I believe. You would think Infold would release new Trials for him to use his new myth card set for but...no. There's still no update.
Not only is Sylus's lack of content due to being rushed but I think the game as a whole was rushed. From the bad translation/localization, to the absurdly machine-gun style of releasing banners and only staying for a week. The lack of Top Up Rewards for spenders, the lack of updates in the in-game mailboxes for upcoming events to get hyped up. Some of these things I mentioned (Top Up Rewards and In-game updates for upcoming banners or events) are staples in gacha yet Infold haven't done any such thing. Plus, there's rarely if ever any redeem codes unlike with other gacha games.
As for the leaks and Sylus debuting early. I feel in some way they had to. As you said, in March the CN server was getting angry with Infold with the constant release of banners without any way to gather Diamonds without spending money. Thus they started spending less. Even when the three mains limited myth cards, as you said on your chart, it still wasn't enough to raise revenue. I've also seen countless former players said they got bored of the game because there was barely any updates to the Main Story, which is absolutely true. How can you be invested in these characters you barely even know. So a lot of people left.
I think maybe someone leaked Sylus out of desperation because it was such an ambitious game especially for the genre (who would ever have thought an Otome would be the first game to have a 3D romance, you would think Waifu games would be catered to first obviously since they dominate the market, not Otome which is very niche). And since the CEO of Infold said that the devs who are involved in making LADS are majority women, I'm sure these women didn't want the game to get EoS especially since female focused games rarely ever have high production values compared to Waifus. So thus the leak and thus the hype it garnered.
It is interesting that you said that the leaker didn't leak anything else but Sylus and not Caleb, who is heavily rumored to the 5th upcoming LI. But yeah, in some way, Sylus did save this game from being cancelled. But at the same time the lack of content and rushness is so obvious. Hopefully they'll fix things as we get to Anniversary and version 3.0.
Edit: I think the reason they didn't leak Caleb is because they haven't produce stuff for him at the time. And also they didn't realize how hard and long it is to make the content compared to 2D games. So they're probably a bit behind schedule on that. I think when Sylus debut is when they started making Caleb content, so thus why no one leaked his stuff.
In my opinion, Sylus levels up the game in general. With 3 love interests, I feel that something is missing.

Heck no it not enough content for sylus. I hope Caleb has a easier release . It not fair for sylus main to not even have enough cards to enjoy the game . Most are limited time banners for sylus .
Sylus is my fourth and Rafayel is my first ❤😅. Xavier second and Zayne third 🥉. I'm unable to complete my Sylus event. It is so confusing ugh 😫 AND I NEED NEED RERUN SO BAD!! 😞 all my precious memories that I couldn't get because I joined the game late 😭
Unpopular opinion: sylus was created to atract more atention through the spicy scenes. I think he was not part of the original idea.
I think that sylus got so many less memories its because infold want something to atract People to play the game but focusing on the main trio. Notices that kisses and spicy scenes came with sylus' debut. Also, another thing that support my theory is the fact that we have two myth story for each of the main trio plus the branch story. But for sylus we only have one myth that came way too late, I mean after sylus' debut one could expect to have his myth, but infold was releasing main trio content instead....
why would they put so much effort into a character and his story just to "get more attention through the spicy scenes"? couldn't they just do that with the original 3 then? i mean this respectfully but i heavily dislike when people talk about sylus as if he was "lesser than" the other 3 because you're implying that a character crafted with so much care and attention to detail is just there for the sexy moments while the others are "deeper" when you know that's not true.
his recent released myth is, in my opinion, one of the best things they've created in this game so far in terms of quality of storytelling and writing. if he was just created for shallow fanservice then they why would they bother creating such a well-crafted backstory for him? he's obviously just as important as the others in terms of story and lore. idk if you know this but sylus' name was trademarked in 2023 and in the old beta story, his brooch appeared in the explosion scene from the main story. so, regardless of what changes they've made since beta, his character has been planned for a while. in Q&A around the game's release in CN the devs even gave players a heads up announcing that sylus would be the next love interest so CN fans (and some global fans as well) have known for months that sylus was planned to be the next LI.
also, sylus has two myths like the others, one of them is the standard one set in present time. his second myth (the one released now) did not came late at all, it came 4 months into his release which is around the same time it took for rafayel to get his limited myth (rafayel was the first one to get his limited myth). for zayne for example, it took nearly 6 months for him to get his limited myth so no, sylus' myth didn't come too late. i assure you that what the OGs have now, sylus will have in the future as well but it will take longer to catch up bc he was added later. the same thing applies to when caleb releases. some of the CN OG fans would get upset if sylus were to come into the game alter and have immediately everything that they had to wait for the OGs to have, which is why i believe they try to pace themselves with sylus content. although we can't know for sure the reason, it's all just speculation.
I'm pretty sure he was planned from the beggining becuz he was mentioned as the fourth LI in an offecial post answering a question for the beta players
Wow - I am so there with ALL your comments. I am a Sylus Girl 100% but I play all 4 LI due to when I started the game and to say the content is lopsided is sad... in the Trials Sylus only goes to lvl 80 / romance cap is 99 so no RING for me & the "by your side" clips - we got shafted. This is why leaks aren't good - they ruin player enjoyment - I don't care what anyone says‼
If sylus was released too early, is there a chance that there were multi-banners with the original 3 waiting to be released but now can't because sylus is there? They can't do a multi-banner with an LI missing. It would definitely anger the community.

It gets to a point that you can't do many deep space trials. I'm already done with his energy orbit. So what am I supposed to do? Open space trials. I can only brute force the trials said realistically sylus lacks the amount of cards to match the stelactrums. As a sylus main I can't enjoy the game fully due to lack of cards. Mind you I personally do put money towards sylus . Most of my sylus cards are level up 80, awaken , maxed out r3 yet I still have a hard time even wi
ith protocores. I no stranger in playing fighting games so my skill sets is not the issue either 😅. It the game lack of cards causing this issues. I maxed out the kitty cards, and plushies just for sylus .what else could I do to help in my gameplay?
