I remember that announcement, it truly felt like Sony was backstabbed by their most trustful allies. At that time Sony was hanging for their dear life to carry one the exclusif relationship with third parties and seeing Square Enix go in bed with Microsoft really marked the console wars.
Funnily enough Xbox hasn't had any Final Fantasy games ever since.

@@JokerX350 The cutscenes were bad, but I never noticed any major frame drops in my play through. The only real (cutback) was the cutscenes which were also the only reason for the 360 version to be on 3 DVDs ( funny how Square and Sony advertise FF16 being on multiple DVDs yet it was a "negative" for the 360. Funny how times change) as the actual game was super linear.
The definitive way to play FF13 however is on Xbox one X and series consoles that run the game in full 4k 30 and the cutscenes look even better.

@@JokerX350 Those games are well known on Playstation but they started on other consoles. Final Fantasy started on the NES and was primarily a Nintendo exclusive associated with their console until 7.
Metal Gear started on the MSX which is a Microsoft gaming platform. As someone who was gaming before Playstation was a thing, I don't associate any of these games with that brand but that's just me. As for FF13 play it where you want but the Xbox One X thru series consoles are objectively the best place to play those games.

I was so excited to have a badass female protagonist but it turned out to be such a bland FF game.
