    7:01 you told both the transmitted and reflected rays will meet at 'the same time to give the interference fringes' if that then why do we approximate the image position of the mirror 2 below the mirror 1 ? Ain't these two contradictory statements ? I guess just to equalise the optical path through the glass plate for both the transmitted and reflected ray we introduce the compensator plate ? Is that ? I am confused with this

    ma'am can the 'd ' be adjusted by us or it is fixed??. and also how come the virtual image of M2 that is M2' reflects the light coming from the source.???? Also ma'am where is interference pattern formed at 11:30 .Ma'am due to lockdown we are not in our college and no takes our doubt and the new Engineering students get confused .ma'am please answer my question as soon as possible ...

    Ma'am in the formation and shape of fringes firstly you told that M2' is the virtual images of m2( fixed mirror) but when the monochromatic light transmits from silved glass plate and goes toward M2' you take M2' as a mirror How? And Why?

    Mam with out compensating plate k b frings produce hoty hai.
    Single beam splitter se but instead telescope we should use a screen to observe interference firings
