In 1993, I beat this game with just one credit. Imagine the celebration in the arcade! When I looked back, there were about 20 people. I was only 11 years old
dramatic ending, as you take down the final enemy a stray missile hits your ship, nearly bringing you down too. It's even reflected in the final cut scene XD
Great game and great work. But what is it with that ending. The version i played when I was a kid, both planes went down into the water after you take out the satellit.
Wish you had selected the F-14 Tomcat over the F/A-18 Hornet, other than that great video. Didn't know there was a successor to U.N. Squadron (used to love that game in the arcades).
thank you! I wish I could have selected the F-14 but from a gameplay perspective it doesn't do as well the Hornet so to make the game game more manageable I couldn't. I also love Area 88 / UN Squadron, probably more than this game. I appreciate it's shorter length and like it's soundtrack slightly more. Thank you for checking out my video, I appreciate it!
I've considered trying out the first Metal Slug; I haven't played any of them seriously, mostly due to their length and also reliance on both point pressing and secrets to score well. I'm not entirely opposed to just playing them to try to get a 1 credit clear, however. Thanks for watching!
Pete Hahn exactly. They are very long and difficult. But if anyone can do just a 1 credit clear it’s u. MS3 would be really impressive. Think it’s the toughest I played start to end
@@Pete_Hahn Don't ever play Metal Slug for score... it ruins all the fun of them. Constant bullet milking with massive slowdown. Playing them for 1cc is the way to go. 1 Life Clear if anything, but playing for score is boring.
@@dr_ubo cool, thank you for the info. I've been eyeing the first Metal Slug lately, maybe after another beat 'em up or 2 I've been meaning to clear first.
I agree, in several ways this game is a step backwards. I think this game only really appeals to the expert shmup players who liked UN Squadron but wanted more challenge and a deeper scoring system.

beating the game with all those people watching had to feel amazing!
Beyond any doubt you are really a living legend. Gigantic performance. Channel subscribed
wow, thank you so much for the compliment!
Also thanks for subscribing, I hope you enjoy my newer and upcoming gameplay.

yeah, was too close - I was worried I would not survive!
The final sound is the same as Street Fighter 2 but with some minor changes.. :)
Best airplane game ever
Yeah, it's really good! 👍
I slightly prefer UN Squadron (aka Area 88) over it's this one, but you can't go wrong either way.
Nice, played it alot.
thanks, it's a great game for sure!
Great game and great work.

Classic game.
Your STG skills are elite status im going to check and see if you did any more shoot em up 1cc's - Edit welp that answers my question 😂
haha, yeah - horizontal (side scrolling) shooters are some of my favorite games so you'll see quite a few on my channel! :)
Very good & you resisted the urge to spend money on additional firepower.
Thanks, was trying to up my score by saving the money to be converted to points at the end of the game. Makes it a lot more challenging!

Juegaso ❤❤❤
This was before U.N. Squadron, correct?
This game came out after UN Squadron by like a year, I believe.
@@Pete_Hahn Wow! That’s disappointing.
Very good but let’s see if u can do ANY of the Metal Slug games on 1 CREDIT particularly Metal Slug 3 😏

America
Outrageous, and I will repeal it
