-Spoilers- Levi es kind of murderous from the start, but how does Behemoth "had it coming"? She was willing to stop fighting and talk 4 times just to be attacked by surprise, tricked or backstabed each time. At no point she tried to kill anyone for real, and allow the counters and co. to escape a couple of times. Heck, even by the end, after powering up and defeating everyone, she literally asks the group to leave and promises not to chase (they wanted to take the cummander, but it wouldn't be the first time he would be abducted and Behemoth wouldn't hurt him if not necessary).

They hinted the story of their group as being rogue heretics at odds with the heretics under the queen, so it stands to reason for the commander to try to ally with them or even recruit them , but at no point he tries to do so (on the contrary, Behemoth and Levi try to recruit the counters by the end, when they realize that even while fighting against a much more powerful enemy, they refuse to surrender- much like themselves). As the story of the chapters goes on, they become punching bags (much worse, actually) for the ridiculously overpowered Cinderella, the Absolute squad (they got powerups out of nowhere that are a good match to counter Behemoth's abilities- go figure) and by the end, Rapi's new transformation. Things got so bad for them that they really become the underdogs by the end- it's hard not to sympathize with them when they're being beaten badly and still refuse to give up thanks to the power of friendship (really, the "villains" do that in this story) By the way, you should play it. It's a nice game, and now is a good time to do so because of all the freebies from the second anniversary.

If he goes against them and tries to recruit the 4 beast the ark would just brand him a traitor. Keep in mind that they also haven't told the ark about Cinderella yet they only know about grave, and I highly doubt they would be keen on allowing you to have 5 heretics under your command

We always see the Heretics as heartless monsters but this scene made me realize that Heretics also has feelings. I hope we can get the point of view of the Heretics and what lead them to what the NIkke believe them to be.

Not gunna lie, I wanted the Heretics dead- especially as the game has never actually featured one dying, and Heretics are (for the most part) sadistic murderers. The only exception to this for me is Modernia/Marian- as far as I know, she didn't kill anyone while a Heretic (but if her conversion was similar to the needs of Material H, then it is likely many Nikkes were lured and killed by the Raptures for it to happen, regardless of her complicity). I feel really sorry for the Nikkes and humans who lack plot armour; it's just too depressing.
i aguarntee you she killed many as a Heretic. but as we learn being corrupted like that, you really aren't yourself and forced to watch yourself do shit.
idk man., from what i see these two didn't actively goes out to murderspree humans. Most of the time they are stay in their area and like any wild beast in real life if you intrude their nest they will retaliate. If Nihilister (which is by far worst than these 2) can be "recruited" i wanted these two for my team, i can fix them

I never thought Heretics have feelings. They’re now my favorite duo.
Nihlister cries tears of humiliation when the commander puts a camouflage drape over. They all can definitely feel emotions.
