I loved this drama. This drama is not for impatient ones. It is a slow paced one. I didn't skip even a second and watched it thoroughly.
A very different and a unique concept for a Reborn themed drama. I loved the build-up of FL's & ML's relationship
Lemme start from the characters.
◾I saw many comments criticizing FL which also almost made me to skip this drama. But thank god I didn't. Some were criticizing the actress' acting and others were mad about the FL's character and her decisions after the reborn. My opinion about the actress is maybe she's a new actress so still working on herself OR it's just how the character supposed to be. Because she obviously suffered from depression in the previous life and was reborn while still in the medication process without being cured completely, So even if you are reborn with the consciousness about the previous life your mental health issues would still be there. Maybe that's the reason for her dull, low energy and not-so bright image.
◾About ML. He isn't a jerk, maybe he was from FL's pov in the previous life. But if you watch the full drama, you would see he always had FL in his heart. He is just bad at communication and conveying his feelings and thoughts 2:15:35 this scene sums it up
◾Next person is obviously FL's best friend, she is undoubtedly my fav character in the drama
◾Then we have FL's grandpa. Such a sweet, caring, protective and an understanding elder. FL's biggest supporter
◾And also FL's friend from grandpa's hometown, she's such a girls' girl. Love her too
◾I also loved FL's mom, I'm not gonna judge her personal life/love life, I just love how much of a good mother she is. Might not be the best but ofc a good one. ML's mom is also a good mother ofc as an individual she got some issues with her policies but as a mother she is not bad. Also comparative to many rich mothers-in-laws she is far better
◾We also have FL's senior also her potential future step-father I guess. He is a good partner, a responsible senior and a diligent researcher
◾I also wanna mention about FL's professor in-charge, She's a very upright person. I really loved her too. Even tho she had a very small role, she is an important character for FL's arc. I love how responsible she was
Now to the story

This drama talks about a very complicated topic of Depression. YES THE ENTIRE STORY OF THIS DRAMA REVOLVES AROUND DEPRESSION
I saw people saying that they couldn't understand the ending, So lemme help you with the idea I got thru my watch
Actually this is not a reborn drama. So FL's been suffering with the depression for a long time and got into an accident, which could have been avoided but she chose not to. Then she's been in a vegetative state for quite sometimes while being treated. Then the attending doctor, also her senior along with ML decide to enter in to the subconscious mind to get her out of the dark pit of depression, because her severe depression hinders her from waking up, even tho her physical injuries have almost healed. That's how they created a new world in FL's mind under the disguise of reborn. Then they let her experience an alternative reality made up of based on the choices FL made using her experience from her previous life(according to FL).
In that reality FL & ML managed to overcome all their emotional and communication obstacles they previously had. ML became to open upto FL more than he ever did. And FL pursued the opportunities she missed out during her past life. And then they eventually learned their way of loving each other in their own pace and in their own way. They learned how to love each other without hurting and hindering the other and themselves. And then when FL finally wakes up, and ML explained everything to her 2:20:15
Thank you for Choosing QOT's OST. It couldn't have been anymore perfect of an OST choice for such a slow paced romance story

The most telling part of this drama is FL realising that ML's actions are his idea of a well-deserved role reversal between lovers/people in love with each other, and not the callous actions of a rejected unfeeling person. Thank you Grandpa! The whole tell me constantly because I'll forget was so crucial.
Honestly, I also didn't expect the twist about the mother. But honestly, it's weird. I mean, I don't mean to be age-gap-phobic or anything like that since I also have a standard that my future bf should be taller and older than be by at least between 4-10 years but it's kinda weird when it comes to girl being older than men. I know my biased thoughts are bad but it's weird, really, I can't kinda digest it. And the fact that it was the mom....really weirded it out. Like she could be her son or he could be twice his age but it's their life so. No hate nor criticism though.

Ml's not actually bad, he's not also a cheater and abvsive, they just misunderstood each other and had lack of communication led to her being depressed, so cute, no crvelty and such ❤
What a great story, it's not about rebirth, it's about lost time, regrets, learn what is depression, and about second chances. A one of kind story, It's sweet, amusing, and never boring. A kind of drama where the mother gave money to the FL for her to agree with her son's pursuit, and a kind of mother who insists marriage even though she thinks the FL is not worthy of her son, I find that funny and touching. No kidnapping, no torture, no annoying relatives, office mates, no rape, and no discrimination about rich and poor. I simply love the chemistry of FL and ML. Kudos to the writer.
There are so many stories about rebirth. This was a great change from those. FL owning his mistakes and showing regrets. Wished to see more of ML showing his changes after him and FL get back home. Not much but a scene or two. But still great history.

I like this short drama. It's not about rebirth. FL slipped into a coma after an accident. Even though she was not severely injured, she didn't want to wake up. There were misunderstanding between FL and ML and things that had happened after they married that resulted in severe depression in the FL. Through medical science, doctors created a virtual world that brought the FL and ML back to the time when they first met - when they were 18 years old. The ML entered this "dream world" to attempt to make FL want to live / wake up.
I think the acting of both the ML and FL are good. It's a drama that focuses on the emotions/love of the ML and FL.
This comment should have a spoiler warning. not everyone has finished watching before scrolling through the comments sometimes people look through to see if the subtitles cut out or there's no ending etc... You just spoiled the whole plot twist, I get that it's only a TH-cam drama but intentional or not it's kind inconsiderate.
No misunderstanding. He never cared. He never slept on her bed after sex. Do you know what it means? That she is a prostitute. He didn't let her go to office but happily stayed arm in arm with another woman in office. He insulted her cooking... That its worse than a maid. He knowingly emotionally abused her because he knew she chased him so long then what will she do. She left her fav study for him how can she wake up n not miss the life she could have created if this asshole wasn't there... She would have successful with her own name... I would never go back to him to suffer... Even his maids can spit on her... Nothing happens without him not caring...

The drama is somehow realistic because usually a comatose person is dreaming. Her doctor (college senior/step father) did great, which is to create another world on her mind that will look like the female lead time travelled/came from the past, then the male lead will enter in that world as well so he can help the female lead to get back. I'm glad that I watched the Cdrama of Lin Yi "Derailment" and the K-series "Night Has Come" before watching this, so I'm not confused about their plot twist and already think that the female has not been reborn by noticing all the male lead's actions towards her and when he said this 57:12 . By hearing the male lead saying it makes me realize that he came to save the female lead.
Also, I think there are just too many misunderstandings and miscommunication. Glad the female lead realizes those on her dream. As for the male lead, I think he really loves his wife, and it's also good that he explained everything well in 1:50:36 and 2:15:18 . Most of the female lead's POVs are not actually the exact situations. Hope to see more dramas of Li Mingyuan like this. This kind of genre really suits him.

Good story. Loved it, it's definitely different from most reborn stories. I liked the twist at the end it truly showed what he was capable of doing to get her back. Because to get her back was a huge risk on his own safety but he didn't hesitate to take it and once he learned how his family and staff had been treating her he made sure to make them realize their mistakes. But at the end he realized it was also his fault. He had loved her but because of their personalities he just went with the flow and never actually told her how he felt. He seemed cold towards her which allowed everyone around them to think he didn't actually love her and that gave them the idea they could mistreat her. And because he never said his feelings and because he got busy with work and didn't properly communicate she began to assume that all the effort she put in was pointless and that she got in the way of his one true love. Thanks to the reborn effect he had to chase her which he was very willing to do, yes he loved her being like a love sick puppy but he truly did love her it showed in his tiny bits of acts but words are also important in relationship and he finally figured it out and began to give her the sense of security that their relationship needed to truly thrive. She never really blamed him for the failure of their relationship, she always blamed herself for thinking that they were meant for each other when they weren't. But in reality they both loved each other he just figured he didn't have to communicate his feelings and everything would work out which as we saw at the beginning it did not. He learned from his mistakes and got the chance to make up for it, which a lot of people don't.

I do like this one, but be aware it is complex and a thinker, lol. This is a long review, sorry. It's not a traditional rebirth drama, I've put spoilers below. I'm actually ok with them getting back together for a couple of reasons. A) I'm personally aware that depression warps your view of things. Do I think those things didn't happen? Not necessarily, but you're viewing it from her perspective first. You don't see his perspective until later, and then it's not mich.
And B) I don't think he was a bad guy. I think he was just so used to her chasing him and her taking care of him that he forgot to pay attention to what she needed. And the further she slipt onto depression, the less she probably told him, and so his lack of notice grew.
I think, given what you see and hear about her family, this is probably something she was dealing with for awhile, and since it was so gradual, he didn't notice it was a problem before it was too late. Bottom line, pay attention to your loved ones and learn to communicate, lol.

Fl gets hit by a car, is "reborn" back in high school, and decides to change her life. Except she doesn't because she's not reborn, she's in a coma. Her husband uses some kind of machine to go into this dream in her mind, where they learn a lot about theselves and each other.

I didn't like them getting back together. Because my basic point is: if he trully loved her, her depression and fact, that she was bullied, wouldn't go unnoticed by him. He simply didn't care and took her for granted. Adding some nasty remarks, saying others cooking is better instead saying: you rest more. He was just making empty excuses for himself. If you can say bad things but say no good things it's obvious you are not mute but want to hurt others. And enjoy it as her suffering gives you a feeling of control and selfimportance. She voluntarely went back to that hell pit of her marriage and he will soon go back to his abusive behaviour as he is a narcissist. He can promise a heaven but is unable to give it because he can only love himself and uses her for own narcissistic suply. He will give her a little kindness now and then and suck her soul out.
After watching similar dramas I can now tell by looking at ML if he will be forgiven in the end or not 😂
I love this. They deserve a 24 episodes drama, such mini drama is not enough. I need to see their life after waking up too, must be so cute 😆

Depression is a very hard illness to diagnose, especially when the depressed person thinks they don't deserve to be loved or helped in any way, so they hide their illness until it's too late. She couldn't confide her feelings to her husband, so she felt isolated and hopeless. Even if she left him, she would still be depressed and even more alone, even suicidal, so it was better to have them work through it together.

一開始還覺得男主為什麼常常呆滯，以為是演技的問題，看了結局才知道那是因為藏了千言萬語，故事也不錯，是值得看第二次細品男主台詞的水準。

I liked this story. A different take on rebirth, with a dash of science fiction. I had a sneaking suspicion that the ML was aware of the FL's rebirth. But I had no idea that this was an alternate reality. Only one problem, rushed ending. I would have like to see a more complete ending showing how things changed, their future...
It's not really an alternate reality, it's a coma induced hallucination; except for the marriage she couldn't change anything outside of her emotional responses and actions. Alternatively, she got insight into the reasons/situations behind ML's irl actions and reactions over the years.
@EDougie well that's one way to put it. It was pretty suspicious when the ML was able to explain all of his behavior to her. That's actually when I suspected he knew about her "rebirth".
@@deeptiedanni I think it's not so much that he 'knew' during the experience, but that he an AHA moment/recognised the signs when she told him. Hindsight is 20/20 as they say.

Nice story line for time traveling drama . Staying in love takes a lot of work and sometimes we love the person so much that we devalue ourselves from not being worthy of their love. Depression is a touchy subject but I am glad to watch how this couple dealt with the issue. Communication is one of the keys for a successful relationship.

This is an entirely new take on "reborn" stories. Not really reborn but a virtual world created to help the FL to wake up. It also incorporated a very timely issue these days --- depression.
I love how the doctor mentioned that not all who smiled/laugh are in good mental state.
Also the realization of the ML that he was not good in saying what he feels and that he is bad in expressing himself.
Overall, this short drama really captured me from start to finish.
I watch hundreds and hundreds of dramas and finally one with a really good story with redemption that is actually worked for and earned one that shows how words can hurt, but the lack of words can hurt even more. The leads in this show were absolutely wonderful the casting was brilliant, kudos to the Director and the writers of this mini drama. I will watch this 1 million times over.

ML didn't suffer enough to deserve her forgiving, she should ignore his ass for 3 years and then we'll speak but her love brain is too stupid, doesn't matter the reasons but when your husband ignore you for 3 years I think it was time for divorce 2 years ago, I don't get why this woman stay and suffer with this jerks, especially him treating her as a prostitute with the whole sex thing, running away from her immediately after sex which was disgusting.
I wish she would give him a harder time, he got off so easy, I liked the talk of depression, I just wish they'll use it for FL to get away from an awfull marriage and learn and live for herself.

Okay... I don't understand... I don't understand why everyone is loving on this movie because it doesn't feel realistic! She spent time telling herself that she wouldn't let him back in to hurt her again, but she let's him back in. That's NOT realistic! All of us girls with proper logic would be reborn, dump the guy, and find someone better. There's not even a proper explanation for why in the "future," he treated her poorly and wasn't in love with her, but in the "past," he's in love with her... So I feel like this girl is too easily swooned and won't stand her ground and dump him. It's weird, and I'm not 100% on board. Barely watched 1:30:00 of the movie and I want to scream at the screen and tell her to dump him.

This was a really good drama, not the typical re-born drama. The human brain is complex and the reality created for the FL in this drama gave her a second chance to make better choices, which will probably change her personality when she really wakes up. This drama also reminded me of a comment I read in a thread asking people who were in a coma what was it like. One person wrote about his experience of being in a coma, he wrote about falling in love, being married, having children, a great life, ect. He said it was so real that he mourned the lost of that life after he woke from the coma for a very long time.
情節不一般的重生劇! 校園時期單純的戀愛讓人心動，男女主互動自然，因為誤解產生的推拒拉扯很有感覺，結局收得很好。不過剪輯有點混亂，好多段都有時間線出錯的問題，若能修正的話，此劇就更完美了。另外，本劇的服裝很有質感、得體，符合人設，非常加分。附帶一提，小說不錯看。

It is not misunderstandings they ate always too casual with other womans how can you let some other woman holding your hand you dont like her but she is in love with you but it is true they dont know how to communicate or they dont communicate at all but always go back and forth left and right or they talk too much but they dont say anything actually

Such a great drama! It has everything: rebirth, sweet ML, strong FL, touches on depression and relationships.
What was the ending? Did she really go back or was it the treatment that made her dream she had a great life?

But their 18yr old self are just FL dream while taking treatment. ML also came into FL dream when he also took the treatment. 🤓

Yeah, if we go chronologically it ending was when fl and ml was hugging and doc come and said if she not wake up in another 2 months it gonna be vegetable. Then from that point forward it show ml perspective until he decides to go inside the dream.
She wakes up from the virtual dream that the Ml created and they came back together as he made amends for what he did
What a beautiful story, the writers imaginative mind was the best. I love how the story end up and the ML and FL we’re perfect to their character ❤❤❤
