Winds can uproot trees at much lower speeds (there are a few factors that can contribute to a tree's vulnerability/susceptibility to being uprooted. One example is, is it can depend upon how saturated the ground was...or also if the ground has been very dry due to drought also. )

Norm had only a few minutes warning! 2 level home. Got my daughter and mother-in-law in place and flipped mattress on top of them. Got the 2=150lb. Dogs and put them in closet. Ran fast and grabbed the babies mattress out of her crib and jumped into the tub and covered with mattress. Seconds later felt like a giant was pulling on the mattress and surrounded by Freight trains it was so much noise. A minute later the Mattress was ripped from my hands and I satup and could see daylight as the tornado 🌪 had torn 80 percent of the house off of the foundation. Jumped up and ran to the bedroom and the Lord had saved my Mother-in-law and daughter. Went for the dog's and they were still there. The other vacant part of the house were history. Looked demolished. Mother-in-law asked where did I go after leaving them and told her dog's closet then tub. She pointed and said that tub. I replied yes. She said Oh My God! I said what she said look at the tub! I had gotten out of the tub without looking and there was a 2 by 4 that went through the tub right at the end where my head was and missed by inches.There was so much debris even wood and drywall and clothing lying on top of the mattress that I didn't notice the 2 by 4 embedded in the tub. God spared my family canines and my life as well but, were left homeless and very few things were salvageable

Before seeking shelter,cover, and or getting away from danger? Are they not able to think to care for their own safety? Or is their normal thinking process blocked by the idea of capturing a possibly viral video?
That's a microburst or possible derecho. Tornadoes don't look like this or even have this kind of strength so immediately. There's no cyclonic motion either. If a tornado was coming for him, wouldn't he focus on the tornado coming at him with the camera? I'm just saying...if you have the documented occasion, location, and time of it...that would help a lot. A lot of people confuse this sort of thing often.
