since this game is going to be more lore heavy i really hope we get to learn more about Lilith. she's literally pivotal to our character as MC but we never learned anything about her. we know she's caring. she fell deeply in love and chose damnation over letting her lover die. like i really REALLY want to know more about Lilith.

Listening a lil into the lyrics and the line "Welcome to the lost paradise" is very interesting since... Paradise Lost, an epic poem (12 books total) by John Milton has 2 narrative arcs, and one of them happens to be about Satan/Lucifer (or in OBM's case, Satan AND Lucifer) and just so happens to take place after Satan and the fallen angels were sent down to hell after the war.
I just love how the feather didn't land on Lucifer's hand, then the next scene we see his face in pain (?) because it could be Lilith whom he lost (Just my speculation) And how the opening and the ending of the song are doors, which could imply as Barbatos having a significant role in the upcoming game. Also love how in the animation, they didn't show Simeon and Luke's faces. And the little grip Luke did.
Wait can I elaborate on my theory of this? So when you said about the feather not landing in Lucifer's hands, symbolising this as Lilith who couldn't be saved.. So I saw a clip where someone pointed about the the part where all the brothers are shown from 1 - 7 one by one, that each of their frames represents their own respective sins. So I read one of the comments and one if the commenters said about Lucifer cover one eye meanwhile Satan is slightly covering his own eye. Lucifer covering one eye symbolises of the hit he took from the pride which is the reason for Satan's birth/existence. Satan covering a bit of his eye is a symbolising that he's just been born. It's signaling that Satan is born from Lucifer's wrath. So when you said about the feather, and the scene changes to the 7 brothers being introduced in the OP, it feels like Lilith (the feather) was the whole reason as to why all of them were introduced (as demons). Idk how to explain it but this is just what I speculate.
I’m guessing it’s going to be a look at right after the brothers fell. That’s the key point that caused a lot of the events of original game. The reasoning for this. A focus on Satan and the brothers is an interesting thing the devs brought up. It was right after the fall that the brothers all had to work to help raise Satan so it makes sense for this time period. When the animation focuses on Lucifer he has pained expressions and when his hand is on the glass, he hand tenses as it rains. Now that normally wouldn’t mean much but his shoulders raise as if he is trying to hold himself together, that if he relaxes he is going to fall apart. People also just tense in general, or at least I do, when I remember something I regret. Also the end of the opening has the lyrics “Welcome to the Devildom” as the brothers are all standing together their backs facing us while quickly transitioning from their angel forms to their demon ones. I’m not sure if they thought a whole lot about camera direction but it’s interesting that they are facing away from the camera. The opening to Obey Me has them facing the camera welcoming players, but here we are facing the same direction as the brothers like we are in their shoes. Also guessing we are also going to see what happened with Simeon and why he was demoted if it does related to the fall. Now Solomon. SOLOMON! He’s interesting here. Now based on what I can glean the whole game is about the fall, so why is Solomon there? Why is he in this game if he wasn’t involved? I know there is theories that Solomon is connected to Lilith, I may make a post about that and how if that is the case how that can explain some of his behaviors, but I think we are either going to see his rise and first encounters with the brothers as demons, which sets up future dynamics that play into the main game. Or could Solomon be someone that Lilith knew in the human world? I mean, they even included Raphael in the opening and he wasn’t in the original cast but was a key player in the war. Why include a character who isn’t main to the story that seems to have a very strong focus, but then include a random side plot line about another character’s misadventures? So I believe that there may be some connection between Lilith and Solomon. Anyways. That’s enough of my midnight rambling. Decided to throw out my theory for the plot. I’m not much good when it comes to analyzing camera work but I hope it makes some sense.
Thi is super good analyzation! But I do want to point out that solomon IS the witty sorcerer after all who looks over to protect the human world which got affected due to the celestial war and so it wouldn’t be that unordinary to include solomon since he might have somehow played some key role? but they also did mention a hint about ‘solomon and the attic’ which I still can’t figure out yet at all.
Solomon also apparently have a pact with Barbatos, I always found that odd in the game (we learn it in one of the early lessons, I think from Satan or Asmo)
Mephistopheles is also in there - up on the left stairs in the demon lords castle. I have thought for a while that he might have been the avatar of pride before lucifer, which would explain his rivalry with him more than just "I was diavolos friend first". I hope we'll see something about that as well. Would make sense if you are correct about this being just after the war
I think this is about Barbatos messing with time to make the brothers down at the devildom that would explain the doors at the start and Barbatos shushing us at the end
Can’t wait ! Never did I think we would get a movie, obey me has come so far ! The graphics and soundtrack is amazing, as well as the transitions. We really are spoiled by the devs, va’s and all the staff behinds the scenes 🤧 Edit; turns out it’s a game :c still excited though for this game as the graphics look so good and I can’t wait to find out more with lore ect !

1:06 holy shiiiiiiii, Levi be stealing my heart all over again. The look of confidence in his face like he's in his serious General mode, he's the third born for a reason and I love seeing this side of him. The transition of them from angel to demon is just....no words can describe how amazing it was, the music, lighting, camera angle, colour....everything is perfect. Seeing this reminds me why I try to support the devs so that they can continue making content from this amazing game. And also so happy to see so many obey me fans in the comments since I usually Google Obey Me stuff on TH-cam but don't see a lot of creators, mostly videos from years ago.

Everyone who wasn't as important to these events (i.e. Mephisto, Thirteen) got small cameos. The others (Simeon, Luke) got little shoutouts. But why did Solomon get a longer shot, focusing on him, as rain runs down his face in what looks suspiciously like tears? Theory time: *Solomon was the human Lilith fell in love with.* Edit: since so many people are concerned about the familial repurcussions of this, let me say: I'm not saying we are descended from Solomon and Lilith, just that their love started the Celestial War. It's implied by what Lucifer says that the person Lilith had kids with is different from the one she stated the War over. I'm claiming Solomon to be the latter.
This actually makes sense! If i remember correctly Lilith's lover was really sick and the reason why the whole war happened was because Lilith gave her lover forbidden food that extends one's lifetime Solomon can live forever (or at least a long time) right? So it adds up Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong! I'm not that far into the story (lesson 32) and i read somewhere about Solomon living for ages so i don't even know if it was mentioned in the main story
@@Tw1nkle_ Solomon says it in one of the side story things (like lesson 36-C or something, not sure exactly which one but I know it's in Season 2). I think that it says later that he accidentally brewed an immortality potion while trying to cook, but I read that off the wiki so take it with a grain of salt. And either way, he could easily be using that as a cover to avoid the Celestial Realm's punishment.

This fandom is spoiled😅. I think I speak for all us when I say we love you guys and everything you do. The amount of time and effort put into this projects is truly incredible. Obey Me! has progressed so much over the years and even so the Va’s, staff, etc still come together and create new content and updates for the game and anime. It was awesome seeing this in the livestream. Can’t wait to check out the new game and see more into the Obey Me Universe. I wonder if Barbatos is gonna be playing a larger role, specifically because of the shushing at the end. It definitely looks like this game will have a darker tone, and that I find so interesting
I think he might play a larger role in this too. Something I'd note down as supporting evidence is all the door-like shapes in the spiral in the first and last 5 seconds since Barbatos' powers use a heavy motif of doors and it could be a representation of his room. The fact that there's so many doors could be a hint towards how much access he has to so many moments and the spinning spiral could be a hint towards his connection to time.
Not only the shush at the end, but the doors or "portals" in the beggining and end of the trailer makes me believe that barbatos will have a important role in this new game especially considering his power (that has a lot to do with doors/portals to the future, past or even ohter dimensions maybe?🤷♀️) barbatos will problably be the one that maybe throws mc in the past or at least be the one responsible for everything that's gonna happen in this game (thinking too much? Of course🤣) why he would do that? No clue. Mayve diavolo made him do that? But the motive's still unkown.

Uwaaaaahhhh!!! When I first discovered the game half a year after its release, I never thought it would get THIS popular and become such a big project! I'm so happy for everyone working on it (人*´∀｀)｡*ﾟ+💕 I'm not playing the game anymore, but I still follow its updates, and it's the only game I do so about. I was stopping at some frames to take screenshots of this (for art reference and 'cause this is super cool) and I spotted Mephisto on the left stairs at 0:42 lol He's just there, smoll. It looks like only Thirteen isn't here. Idk much of her story cause I stopped playing the game for an year so I'm only at lesson 30 ops- I know very little of her by the side events. I think I saw someone on tumblr say that thirteen was on the balcony in the same frame as diavolo, barbatos and mephisto! I definitely missed her the first time, so I assumed she wasn't there too, she's so tiny in it lol
As an beginning animator myself, the animation here is absolutely breath-taking! The way their hair moves?! Lucifer’s hand on the window!! It’s how dang smooth those subtle animations are that I just cannot believe! Amazing!

I have been playing Obey Me since the game was first released and not only do we now have 2 seasons of anime. 2 album releases, various TH-cam content, we now have this to look forward to!! Why did I barely notice until today that Satan is the only one without a spark in his eye? And then at 1:25 to 1:27 the order of the brothers goes as normal but Satan is right before Lucifer. Super cool details!

My take on the lore in this video is at the beginning of the video there are some sort of spiral doors, signifying Barbatos power. And then it shows the past of the brothers when the fell from Celestia. Then it comes to the present and Mc isn't with the brothers and its raining. All of the brothers seemed un bothered except for lucifer. He looks concerned about the rain like as if he knows something is about to happen, and so do the angles. I think they know something is about to happen in the devildom and i especially think Solomon is involved with it. In the live stream three of the brothers said Solomon is going to live with Mc...so I think the Lucifer is going to send Mc and Solomon back to the human world cause they know something is about to happen. I think then that Mc has a feeling about this and goes to Barbatos for help and he shows Mc the brothers past and the time they became demons, I think this cause at the end of the video the spiral doors close and Barbatos brings his finger up to his mouth as to tell Mc to keep it a secret cause the only ones who know about whatever is going to happen in the devildom is lucifer, the angels, Solomon, and Barbatos. Which brings me to the idea that once Mc sees the past they will come to a conclusion and find out what is about to happen and comes back to the devildom to help the brothers with whatever is about to happen....but idk👀🤔

After the livestream end, I kept going back to the livestream just to listen to this opening. It’s really good, and one of my favorite openings! I also love how at the beginning they transitioned from them in the Celestial Realm to the Devildom! And if you look closely, you can see when they’re in the Celestial Realm part, Satan is not there but when it’s the Devildom part we see him. Meaning that he’s not a fallen angel. Which means, he’s a demon and was never an angel.
The window/doors swirling at the beginning and end along with Barbatos makes me think AU or alternate timeline sort of thing 🤩 Cannot wait for it to release!

Been playing for almost 4 years and seeing this game grow was amazing but to have it now make a whole new GAME???? I'M SO HAPPY LIKE THE KID IN ME IS SO EXCITED!! Not a movie, but a new game! Obey Me! Nightbringer is going to be a nrw game in the Obey Me! Series. "Movie" in this sense is another term for "Music Video" or "Trailer"
Am I the only one that noticed that Satan is the only one that had no light in his eyes in all the frames where he's shown I find that a cool little detail :o
Just off these 2 minutes I have a whole lot of theories. At the beginning of the trailer we see a glowing ball (idk what to call it) but at some point it shatters. At the end of the trailer we see Barbatos with his fingers on his lips. That's known as a kind of way to yk shush people. Barbatos has the ability to change timeliness, bring them together, help avoid them etc. There's a lot of things we don't know so far in game about the brothers and the other characters. My theory is that Barbatos has a major role in this. At the beginning the glowing ball represents timeliness and how every timeline experienced the same thing. But as the ball shatters more and more timeliness are created.
The angel to demon transition shots with Satan being added in the second shot, behind Lucifer. At the dining table everyone doing their thing except Beel, who seems to be watching Lucifer. The cracks on the dining table near Satan’s seat. Mephistopheles dutifully on the stairs at attention, Thirteen in the back lounging. The demon brothers staring at Diavolo, subtle arrays of anger, fear, and sorrow on their expressions. Wow. Wow wow wow!!

Idk how to explain it but this is just what I speculate.
I’m guessing it’s going to be a look at right after the brothers fell. That’s the key point that caused a lot of the events of original game. The reasoning for this. A focus on Satan and the brothers is an interesting thing the devs brought up. It was right after the fall that the brothers all had to work to help raise Satan so it makes sense for this time period. When the animation focuses on Lucifer he has pained expressions and when his hand is on the glass, he hand tenses as it rains. Now that normally wouldn’t mean much but his shoulders raise as if he is trying to hold himself together, that if he relaxes he is going to fall apart. People also just tense in general, or at least I do, when I remember something I regret. Also the end of the opening has the lyrics “Welcome to the Devildom” as the brothers are all standing together their backs facing us while quickly transitioning from their angel forms to their demon ones. I’m not sure if they thought a whole lot about camera direction but it’s interesting that they are facing away from the camera. The opening to Obey Me has them facing the camera welcoming players, but here we are facing the same direction as the brothers like we are in their shoes. Also guessing we are also going to see what happened with Simeon and why he was demoted if it does related to the fall.
Now Solomon. SOLOMON! He’s interesting here. Now based on what I can glean the whole game is about the fall, so why is Solomon there? Why is he in this game if he wasn’t involved? I know there is theories that Solomon is connected to Lilith, I may make a post about that and how if that is the case how that can explain some of his behaviors, but I think we are either going to see his rise and first encounters with the brothers as demons, which sets up future dynamics that play into the main game. Or could Solomon be someone that Lilith knew in the human world? I mean, they even included Raphael in the opening and he wasn’t in the original cast but was a key player in the war. Why include a character who isn’t main to the story that seems to have a very strong focus, but then include a random side plot line about another character’s misadventures? So I believe that there may be some connection between Lilith and Solomon. Anyways. That’s enough of my midnight rambling.
Decided to throw out my theory for the plot. I’m not much good when it comes to analyzing camera work but I hope it makes some sense.

But I do want to point out that solomon IS the witty sorcerer after all who looks over to protect the human world which got affected due to the celestial war and so it wouldn’t be that unordinary to include solomon since he might have somehow played some key role? but they also did mention a hint about ‘solomon and the attic’ which I still can’t figure out yet at all.
Solomon also has a pact with Asmodeus, so we might see how that came to be!
Solomon also apparently have a pact with Barbatos, I always found that odd in the game (we learn it in one of the early lessons, I think from Satan or Asmo)
Mephistopheles is also in there - up on the left stairs in the demon lords castle. I have thought for a while that he might have been the avatar of pride before lucifer, which would explain his rivalry with him more than just "I was diavolos friend first". I hope we'll see something about that as well. Would make sense if you are correct about this being just after the war

1:06 holy shiiiiiiii, Levi be stealing my heart all over again. The look of confidence in his face like he's in his serious General mode, he's the third born for a reason and I love seeing this side of him. The transition of them from angel to demon is just....no words can describe how amazing it was, the music, lighting, camera angle, colour....everything is perfect. Seeing this reminds me why I try to support the devs so that they can continue making content from this amazing game. And also so happy to see so many obey me fans in the comments since I usually Google Obey Me stuff on TH-cam but don't see a lot of creators, mostly videos from years ago.

Everyone who wasn't as important to these events (i.e. Mephisto, Thirteen) got small cameos. The others (Simeon, Luke) got little shoutouts. But why did Solomon get a longer shot, focusing on him, as rain runs down his face in what looks suspiciously like tears?
Theory time: *Solomon was the human Lilith fell in love with.*
Edit: since so many people are concerned about the familial repurcussions of this, let me say: I'm not saying we are descended from Solomon and Lilith, just that their love started the Celestial War. It's implied by what Lucifer says that the person Lilith had kids with is different from the one she stated the War over. I'm claiming Solomon to be the latter.

@@Tw1nkle_ Solomon says it in one of the side story things (like lesson 36-C or something, not sure exactly which one but I know it's in Season 2). I think that it says later that he accidentally brewed an immortality potion while trying to cook, but I read that off the wiki so take it with a grain of salt. And either way, he could easily be using that as a cover to avoid the Celestial Realm's punishment.

This fandom is spoiled😅. I think I speak for all us when I say we love you guys and everything you do. The amount of time and effort put into this projects is truly incredible. Obey Me! has progressed so much over the years and even so the Va’s, staff, etc still come together and create new content and updates for the game and anime. We certainly can’t wait until Nightbringer is out and we are excited to see what Obey Me! has in store for the future!

I think he might play a larger role in this too. Something I'd note down as supporting evidence is all the door-like shapes in the spiral in the first and last 5 seconds since Barbatos' powers use a heavy motif of doors and it could be a representation of his room. The fact that there's so many doors could be a hint towards how much access he has to so many moments and the spinning spiral could be a hint towards his connection to time.
Not only the shush at the end, but the doors or "portals" in the beggining and end of the trailer makes me believe that barbatos will have a important role in this new game especially considering his power (that has a lot to do with doors/portals to the future, past or even ohter dimensions maybe?🤷♀️) barbatos will problably be the one that maybe throws mc in the past or at least be the one responsible for everything that's gonna happen in this game (thinking too much? Of course🤣) why he would do that? No clue. Mayve diavolo made him do that? But the motive's still unkown.

My take on the lore in this video is at the beginning of the video there are some sort of spiral doors, signifying Barbatos power. And then it shows the past of the brothers when the fell from Celestia. Then it comes to the present and Mc isn't with the brothers and its raining. All of the brothers seemed un bothered except for lucifer. He looks concerned about the rain like as if he knows something is about to happen, and so do the angles. I think they know something is about to happen in the devildom and i especially think Solomon is involved with it. In the live stream three of the brothers said Solomon is going to live with Mc...so I think the Lucifer is going to send Mc and Solomon back to the human world cause they know something is about to happen. I think then that Mc has a feeling about this and goes to Barbatos for help and he shows Mc the brothers past and the time they became demons, I think this cause at the end of the video the spiral doors close and Barbatos brings his finger up to his mouth as to tell Mc to keep it a secret cause the only ones who know about whatever is going to happen in the devildom is lucifer, the angels, Solomon, and Barbatos. Which brings me to the idea that once Mc sees the past they will come to a conclusion and find out what is about to happen and comes back to the devildom to help the brothers with whatever is about to happen....but idk👀🤔

After the livestream end, I kept going back to the livestream just to listen to this opening. It’s really good, and one of my favorite openings! I also love how at the beginning they transitioned from them in the Celestial Realm to the Devildom! And if you look closely, you can see when they’re in the Celestial Realm part, Satan is not there but when it’s the Devildom part we see him. Meaning that he’s not a fallen angel. Which means, he’s a demon and was never an angel.
The window/doors swirling at the beginning and end along with Barbatos makes me think AU or alternate timeline sort of thing 🤩 Cannot wait for it to release!

Just off these 2 minutes I have a whole lot of theories. At the beginning of the trailer we see a glowing ball (idk what to call it) but at some point it shatters. At the end of the trailer we see Barbatos with his fingers on his lips. That's known as a kind of way to yk shush people. Barbatos has the ability to change timeliness, bring them together, help avoid them etc. There's a lot of things we don't know so far in game about the brothers and the other characters. My theory is that Barbatos has a major role in this. At the beginning the glowing ball represents timeliness and how every timeline experienced the same thing. But as the ball shatters more and more timeliness are created.
The angel to demon transition shots with Satan being added in the second shot, behind Lucifer. At the dining table everyone doing their thing except Beel, who seems to be watching Lucifer. The cracks on the dining table near Satan’s seat. Mephistopheles dutifully on the stairs at attention, Thirteen in the back lounging. The demon brothers staring at Diavolo, subtle arrays of anger, fear, and sorrow on their expressions. Wow. Wow wow wow!!
