    26m 45s: doesn't the legionaire need a fort or another character in the place to be able to defend againt invasion?

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      nope. if there's a player or fort, then only one legion dies when a single cube invades. if there's no player or fort, then ALL legions die from that single cube :)

    • @belayon84
      @belayon84 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rahdo but at that time you did not have a fort or player, so shouldn't it have been an ambush?

      @rahdo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@belayon84 yup, ambush means all defenders die, while invasion means only one dies :)

    At roughly the 25 minute mark you perform a battle action with the Consul - you rolled two singles and one single with a loss (I hope you can follow this!); I would have thought that you would be able to remove three barbarians as opposed to just two, given the dice you rolled...
    I'm probably wrong, just thought I would mention it so I can be corrected. Or not. :)

    I think that you have to put Fort in Rome, when you setting up the game.

    • @burkeboyberger7996
      @burkeboyberger7996 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, and the first move is for the character farthest from Rome.

      He mentioned in the video that he used the "Caput Mundi" special rules where you DO NOT get a fort in Rome.

    Circles on board are too small for the cubes. Wonder about replay value..

  • @gazoo3596
    @gazoo3596 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Question: When "eradicating" a barbarian tribe, i.e. no tribe cubes on the map, do you need to continue to block them from invading, or are they "eradicated" as in original Pandemic?

    • @rahdo

    How replayable is the solo mode? after a couple of games, don't you feel it too repetitive? Or the random factor thrills this game more than I can expect?

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i haven't tried it solo, but if you ask over here: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/260428/pandemic-fall-rome/forums/0 you'll likely get a solid answer fairly quickly :)

      @@rahdo yes, BGG it's a good forum to request hinds for specific board games but also I like asking to youtubers that may have already experienced the game in solo mode. Thanks anyway!

    The Leaders of rome must decide if legion Can iter rome and legins is pre-detrementd either loyal or not loyal and if not loyal legion Enter rome the curent players lose and the unloyal legatets wich leads legions and are also pre-determind is the new leders of rome and have to Deal with the situsasion wich rome is in at this point but they must cose new legats when the legions leave the City and they Will fist revolt when all spaces agesent to rome is barbarien-free

  • @danguimaraess
    @danguimaraess 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think they kind forced the theme here. Doesn't make any sense to me this combat system against barbarians in a game that was supposed to be about diseases. If they wanted to go Medieval, they could use the Black plague, for instance. It would made more sense with Pandemic.

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      the ancient greek meaning of pandemic is simply "something that affects all people", so looked at it in a historical context, the fall of rome was a pandemic to the romans :)

    Constantinopolis? Doesn't this take place before Constantinople was even Constantinople? If the Capital of the Roman empire is still Rome, then Constantinople couldn't exist. This takes place in the 5th century BC. Constantinople was founded by Constantine The Great around 330 AD. Almost 1000 years off... smh.... Seems like a rookie move for a historical based game.

      Which of the barbaric tribes sound like a 5th century bc? Also Rome wasn’t even holding the entire peninsula in the 5th century bc
