This is my me time to watch a good movie, listen to some music on the radio or just get online and watch some music videos (mainly 70's and 80's music). I believe we do receive visits from our loved ones. I lost my guy 9/9/99 and I know he visits me from time to time. He likes to tug my hair lol. The first time he did it I was in the shower, it almost scared the crap out of me lol. I know it was him just like you know it's her visiting you. It's real!!! Maybe she'll show up when you're on vacation while you're going down memory lane. I know it going to be bitter sweet but concentrate more on the sweet than bitter. I like singing this for karaoke. I haven't heard the original in a little while. My girlfriend (who hosts the karaoke show) tells me that it sounds weird to her to hear the original versions of songs I sing for karaoke. Very nice song, though the karaoke version takes some liberties with the outro guitar solo which used to bother me, but I can't tell you why :-P

Gosh this is a great song!! The eagles stabd the test of time so well!! It's never ceases to amaze me how good their music turned out amongst all the conflict and tension and turmoil in that band, and the music and lyrics and vocals sounded so heartfelt and sincere

Being an "indie" gal the Eagles really aren't my cup of tea. But I was in the local shopping centre just now and they had this playing over the speakers. I kinda stopped what I was doing as soon as the first couple of bars of the song opened and just listened and remembered it when I was growing up. So came home, dumped the groceries and straight away got on TH-cam to listen and engage with it properly. Forgot how beautiful and dreamy it is.

I cannot say enough about The Eagles. I never get tired of listening to any of their songs. Always as if I was hearing it for the first time. The way some of these songs began is a feat in and of itself. Musically speaking, deemed impossible by way of song structure, but The Eagles found a way to make them a success. Keep on Singing. Now world, this is real MUSIC.

OMG I love this song! No music now a days can beat this! I first heard this song back in 1995 on the radio at some clinic when I was little. I loved it since even though I had no idea what they were saying lol. Yes they were still playing this song even though it was released in 1979!

The simplicity of the song showed the simplicity of the era....ohhhh to return to that time.
Loved the palm trees. Took me back to sitting in my bedroom listening to this song staring out through the palm trees that grew around the apartment where we were living in California. Crazy times but it was songs like this that gave me a moment to pause. Bittersweet memories.

Gosh this is a great song!! The eagles stabd the test of time so well!! It's never ceases to amaze me how good their music turned out amongst all the conflict and tension and turmoil in that band, and the music and lyrics and vocals sounded so heartfelt and sincere

Being an "indie" gal the Eagles really aren't my cup of tea. But I was in the local shopping centre just now and they had this playing over the speakers. I kinda stopped what I was doing as soon as the first couple of bars of the song opened and just listened and remembered it when I was growing up. So came home, dumped the groceries and straight away got on TH-cam to listen and engage with it properly. Forgot how beautiful and dreamy it is.
