Yes , you hear the "BOX" on Montserrat Caballé , the resonance of her physical body , You hear the technique of Callas ( who in this performance was not at her best) but still a professional diva for half her life and THEN Amira , that little angel is as clear and powerful as Callas with vocal chords, thorax, diaphragm , lungs a fraction of the first two Divas and NO TRAINING!.. and Amira's (voice) is crystal clear there's no coloratura in her performance because she doesn't need it . Hopefully as she grows she maintains that clarity on her voice and then ONE day she will be declared the BEST soprano EVER!

Somebody laughed at me when she found out that I listened to opera song as if I'm crazy. This shows you the level of mentality these people have. I wish they know the level of training that they endured to become an opera singer aside from their God given voice. They really train hard just like a valet dancers are. It's a dedication.

Caballe es la armonia y la perfección, es el mejor Mio Babbino Caro. callas es historia y la mejor voz de todos los tuiempos pero no es su mejor interpretación, le gana la Caballe por goleada. Amina es un ser puro cin alma de Antigua, que hace unas cosas increibles para esa corta edad. La adoro.
Ten en cuenta que esa interpretacion de la diva Callas es de mediados 70 donde su voz por desgracias de la vida ya no era la misma. Aunque para mi seguia siendo la mejor. Se fue demasiado pronto.

I'm speechless that Amira can rightly be placed alongside these 20th century legends, and at 9 years old be equal to them in overall performance. What is even more remarkable is that as her voice has changed and matured in the following years, she has sung this aria with slightly different styles of delivery, and each one sounds as remarkably clean and pure as the last.

Norma Romero si es muy hermosa y con mucho trabajo y técnica debiera ser una de las mejores pero para eso falta bastante todavía. debe mejorar la técnica de la respiración y el trabajo expresivo . los holandeses son muchos más fríos y se le nota bastante . pero es pequeña y de seguro mejorará.

This is not really a great comparison in my opinion. But just listen to Amira's rendition of Ave Maria on Hollands Got Talent and then see how she compares to the others because her performance there in my opinion is just out of this world.

L'amour d'une voix est subjectif et appartient à chacun. Préférer une chanteuse n'enlève rien aux deux autres , ni de leurs histoires, ni de leurs talents... Pour moi c'est à chaque fois cette gamine qui me touche profondément comme jamais une autre voix!
Amira can imitate her with no problems,even so she is still so young and a teenager and self trained young girl.
Amira already learned how to keep the note and to use her voice. I think she will be the new Maria Callas, if her voice will not change with the age !...

As for the old guards, they do what they are supposed to do- valiantly defend the "glory" of the past. But they are far fewer in number now than a couple of years ago when the old guards would rush in numbers and bash anyone who even dared compare Amira with any of the two. With the way Amira is progressing and as her fans multiply worldwide and become more vocal with their support for Amira, any debate will become moot and academic in a few more years. Btw, i am old but i refuse to live in a mental prison made of the past.
