Hollow is becoming a fitting name for a man who gradually loses part of his soul from each horror game he plays.
I thought the bad end was going to be the only end tbh. I can't remember where I've seen the trope of a killer going into a remote area, only to find out his neighbors are killers/cultists or whatever, and ends up being their latest victim. I know I've seen it in movies and whatnot, but I forget which ones.

No, VHS definitely hits different. My family stayed at a beach house for a few days in a town with no internet or cell service (just a land line). The house only had an old CRT tv and large collection of VHS. We watched Mrs Doubtfire and City Slickers.
My kids loved it and it really felt surreal, like we were back in the 90s for a few days.
I’m almost 42 so I remember the days of VHS tapes and I wouldn’t say they are better…but the movies on them were better. Original ideas and the love put into those movies? Yeah, I’ll take the clunky costumes in the old TMNT movies over the garbage they push out these days.

Grew up with VHS as a kid, it did hit different, in a bad way. Low resolution, blurry picture. HD was a game changer. Like these VHS inspired games though.
