This took me several tries also on my 2019. I thought the door had to be open and that's what seemed to have it but ultimately I think it was the timing. Thank you! I think the timing is approx 6 seconds maybe after pressing the power with the first Key FOB and then turn off and do the 2nd.
It will work just fine... turn your key around and follow the instructions. you also can shine a light in there and position your fob as the cutout is shown. Many thanks, it worked great!
Thank you for this! It worked for the 2018 MKX too! You just have to be quick with turning it on and off between keys and clear out all the messages that pop up before the code. It took a few tries but it came up.
Dealer wanted to charge around $100 for a code that should belong to vehicle owner... ridiculous. On 2018 MKX, this works also. The message will show on the dash, far left info screen (not on the center screen). You don't need to wait long to turn off and switch keys, buttons up and unlock facing front of car. Be ready to press 'ok' on the steering wheel if any warnings pop up, the code has a timer/loading bar and will disappear as it may be hidden by the warning. Thank you for the vid and good luck to those trying to figure this out.
Sometime it can be retrieved with a scan tool. Sometimes the BCM has a sticker that tells you the keyless entry code. Getting a second key made is always a possibility (a cloned key won’t work). In a couple of instances where someone didn’t want to buy a key I’ve temporarily programmed a second key so the keyless code could be retrieved.
Great video, thanks for sharing. However, I tried this on my 2019 Nautilus and it did not work. I think I may have a different display than the one you showed here. For instance, in the center I don't see PRNDS, but rather a big speedometer circle and it says 0 MPH like your image on your right. My image on the left shows a message during the procedure that says " Retrieving the Keyl " In short, I was not able to see the factory keypad code, but if anyone has any suggestions, I'll be happy to try it out. Thanks @Shop Talk !!
I think the cluster can be custom configured as to what it displays. Shouldn’t affect displaying the keyless code. It all had to be done fairly quickly. Also if it displays a message that you can click the ok button to get rid of it, do so. Sometimes they display key accepted or other messages, and those messages are over the keyless code. If you hit ok to get rid of them you can see the keyless code.
Здравствуйте. Подскажите как отключить, сигнал при работающем двиготеле,закрываешю дверь снаружи с ключём и автомобиль трижды подаёт сигнал. И все люди оборачиваются,думая что им сигналят. Как отключить ?
I think there is a time limit, it has to be done fairly quickly. Once in a while I get a vehicle that for what ever reason doesn’t display it on the first try. I usually just keep switching keys back and forth and repeating. It usually displays after a few tries.
@@lildell04 as far as I know that’s the only way to retrieve it on the Nautilus. It should work. You do have to do it fairly quickly. Sometimes they do get a little temperamental. If it’s not working just turn everything off and walk away from it for a while. Come back later and try it again.

When I bought the car from the dealership, it only came with one key? How would I find it then?

Did not work on my 2020 Nautilus. Is there a different way on that year?
You have to do it pretty quickly and if it pops a message up over it you need to hit the ok button so it’s visible
@@CarShopTalk thanks! It worked doing it faster.

I tried this and can't get the code to come up...:(
