When I drove semi trucks involving reefer tanks, sometimes we had to use air pressure to prime the system. We would screw an air chuck into the cap and put air into the tank.

      That’s smart

@Fair Winds & Following Seas keep in mind our semi's had air compressors. But one of those that plugs into a power port would do the same thing. I never went above 20 lbs of air pressure, so I didn't blow out a line.

As always a very informative video. I noticed briefly that your auxiliary tanks shut off valve has a rubber fuel coming off it with a hard bend that may be slowing your feed to the main tank. It might be worth a few bucks to put a 90 degree fitting off the valve to the fuel line to open the flow up. Just a thought. Be blessed.

I noticed that too, while I was sitting in that rest area. I plan on doing a few things to it once I get home.

Sounds like the cap isn’t venting on the aux tank. Mine did the exact same thing when I first got it. Got a different cap from tractor supply and all is good.

I’ve got two of those on the trailer now. Those are wide

Do you make enough extra hauling multiples to justify all the extra work?

I can’t answer that question for you. I don’t know how much value you put on manual labor

@Fair Winds & Following Seas well I always figure time is money. I've been a trucker for over 30 years, and it's starting to take its toll on my hips and knees. On a per mile basis is it much better. I've never done rv hauling so I m not even sure what good pay per mile looks like in that sector.

Oh, well in that case yes I’d say it is. Definitely more wear and tear on your knees and back than single pull. But you’re basically doubling (sometimes slightly more) your RPM doing multi haul. I’m typically between $2.84 and $3.10 per mile. Where in single haul (on the west) you’re closer to $1.40 to $1.75 per mile

@Reset Channel well your making more per mile than our peterbilt makes running 80000 plus pounds per load. But you're out for a couple weeks at a time right?

Out as much as I want to be. I’ve been out for 3 days and been out for 3 months. It’s my decision

When I record the entire hookup process, I edit the speed to like 150% increase so that my hour hookup takes way less time. But yer way is kool too. Safe travels.

Great video I’d be carrying an electric fuel pump with me for those just in case things like this.

U will never make it in rv transport I’ve drove a semi three years ago and then went to rv transport it was just a roller coaster ride so now I’m back to driving semi

Just because you couldn't do it doesn't mean he won't be able to do it. There may be several differences between your way of hauling RV's and his way. Different circumstances. Different times in the economy, and so on.

No…..YOU didn’t make it in RV transport. I already have 2.5 years doing single pulls and every years was able to NET over $70k after people told me I’d never make any money. Then I moved into semi and did that for a while and this opportunity presented itself. So please feel free to follow along and see which one of us ends up being correct. Who knows, maybe I do fail 🤷‍♂️
