With grace of god Shiva, I was able to complete my first long trek and hike in Himalyas from Gaumukh to Kedarnath by feet completing more than 300 km via Mountain Route. It was blissful. I have watched your documentary. I shot videos, but it is impossible for me to edit my videos like that. :) Keep up the good work.

And we acclimatized only for a few hours in Gangotri before our trek started. Man! The days when I was physically fit to do such stuff!

However, we shouldn't recommend these options as they can lead to Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) or other health issues. Our goal is to promote adventure in the safest way possible so that the maximum number of trekkers can enjoy the experience. Taking a rest day at Gangotri, then breaking the journey with a night halt at Chirbasa before proceeding to Bhojbhasa, is the safest way to do this trek. This way, you can acclimatize properly and reduce the risk of AMS. Additionally, our trek doesn't just stop at Gaumukh; we continue further to Tapovan. To reach Tapovan, crossing the Bhagirathi River from Bhojbhasa is necessary. This part of the trek adds to the adventure and beauty of the journey.

I have trekked to Gaumukh from gangotri and came back same day, around 28 km of trekking... My legs were on fire but still made it.
@Nupur went to gaumuk without guide, in 2017 but to climb tapovan, i felt not secure to cross the glacier without proper guidance.
@Nupur will never forget ! And... Go back ! ☺️

I think returning on the same day is not a big deal, it's the worst deal. Because he/she will miss a lot of things, a lot of..

Yes, its possible but very risky and one should have extremally good physical and mental fitness.

I think you meant Mount Bhagirathi. Gomukh is a glacier, not a mountain.
