It’s kinda true, she always struggled from the inside cuz of her powers and her past even tho she looked happy on the outside. Beastboy was able to make her smile but she was still internally struggling. I think they did this on purpose and this shows that she does remember, but choses to move on and live a normal life.
The comic that came out a year later of this episode proved that she remembered (look up Teen Titans comic Metamorphosis) when her brother flew over. She is confessing to Beast Boy she was never happy in the past even with him. She hated her powers that were imposed on her. She just wanted to be normal. After coming back, she chose to start a new life free from the weight of her past sins and any entanglement with superheroes including Beast Boy. The old Terra is now gone. She willingly forsook her connections and powers to have a second chance at life.
I watched this first 7 years ago, when i was 9. I felt beast boy was in pain, but didn't understand why. I was watching Teen Titans Go at the time, and wanted compilations, and stumbled across this. This was what got me to watch the original, instead of the new one on Cartoon Network. Now, Almost 17, after rewatching this, i felt the drama and pain. I never thought i'd relate to this.

When she said “Things were never the way you remember” that really hit me. It’s kinda true, she always struggled from the inside cuz of her powers and her past even tho she looked happy on the outside. Beastboy was able to make her smile but she was still internally struggling. I think they did this on purpose and this shows that she does remember, but choses to move on and live a normal life.
The comic that came out a year later of this episode proved that she remembered (look up Teen Titans comic Metamorphosis) when her brother flew over.
She is confessing to Beast Boy she was never happy in the past even with him. She hated her powers that were imposed on her. She just wanted to be normal. After coming back, she chose to start a new life free from the weight of her past sins and any entanglement with superheroes including Beast Boy.
The old Terra is now gone. She willingly forsook her connections and powers to have a second chance at life.

I watched this first 7 years ago, when i was 9. I felt beast boy was in pain, but didn't understand why. I was watching Teen Titans Go at the time, and wanted compilations, and stumbled across this. This was what got me to watch the original, instead of the new one on Cartoon Network. Now, Almost 17, after rewatching this, i felt the drama and pain. I never thought i'd relate to this.
Same son, I watched this as a kid when it first showed on 2004 and I only thought Beast Boy was mad cause Terra didn't want to be his friend anymore but rewatching it 20 years after and it hurts much more deeply as an adult
