I have a coworker who saw me with my Gucci soho disco bag and asked if I wasn’t concerned with using it at work. I asked why and she said she didn’t want to use her luxury bags in fear that her boss would think she’s making too much money. I told her I don’t care what anyone thinks because it’s not their money and they shouldn’t be monitoring mine. She is now sporting her Louis Vuitton Neverfull proudly 😁

In response to the question about carrying the Neverfull, I wouldn’t worry about carrying your bag. I’m in a senior position and see staff with similar bags to myself and also board members. You could have saved up for that bag or it could’ve been gifted to you.we don’t know nor is it anyone’s business.
Suspect the rude Chanel SA could have been testing the boundaries of your good nature. As a kind & sincere person (as you seem to be), sadly, that can often be be true. Unfortunately, those who try to take advantage don’t realize who they’re alienating....that customer won’t return & may communicate their negative in-store experience to others.
Hello. I wanted to say that I am very happy that you spoke up about how you really felt about buying a leather versus canvas bags. I have seen friends of mine sacrifice buying a name over quality. For me I’m all about quality. From the highest brand to the ones with no name at all. I am guilty of buying names. I have some bags with no name that are better quality Than The ones that I’ve paid way more money than I should have. So thank you for your view and without saying I 100% agree. Have a good day.
It’s so funny because I work at a big chain gas station and I get people yelling at me for the wrong cigarettes or the fountain syrup is out, but a lot of women are afraid to tell these sales associates to knock off the attitude. They need to be told that that type of behavior is not ok. These are high priced items!
Recently, several of my favorite luxury handbag TH-camrs are pushing the Senreve bag. This bag falls so far outside the quality and style of their collections that it makes me question their motives. All of a sudden they "love" this new square, boxy, rubberlike bag. Many admit it was gifted. I have to be honest, I immediately lose a little trust in these TH-camrs and no longer feel like their opinions and recommendations are heartfelt and honest. I wonder what your thoughts are about this issue? Am I being too suspicious?

If I was answering the 2nd question, I would say don't use the same bag as she does, but by all means use a designer bag to work. Let her see that you are a handbag lover, as Minks said. But she might take it as competition with the same bag.
From my experience, I feel leather is a little bit durable than canvas, however canvas show less wear and tear. I never feel uncomfortable when I see my boss wear the same bag as mine, even though I earn less than her. Awesome Q&A and have a wonderful week ❤️
Watch for the strap on the pre-loved market. I can see people selling it as a way to reduce cost, similar to people selling the NF pouch.
HI hun:))So the Multi pochette also comes with blue strap and YES you can purchase the straps separately for about $480ish. Also the Pochettes are slightly bigger the the original ones

You mentioned conditioning leather. I’ve never conditioned my Chanel bags, should I be and if so, when and how? As for my LV Neverfull, the canvas wear is perfect although worn in rain, snow, heat. Yet the leather trim is cracked in certain areas 😡.

Viv Fashionista That’s what drives me nuts when it comes to DE!! Wish the leather wasn’t so stiff to cause cracking. I personally don’t use anything to condition my bags (I feel the oils in your hands do all the work) but keeping them in rotation definitely helps ♥️😍
Minks4All I’ve been accused of Chanel abuse lolol because I don’t use my bags, I tend to use the LV neverfull and keep the Chanel’s in their boxes.

Angela Nebinger Some people use leather conditioners. I personally don’t use anything for either material but keeping them in rotation definitely helps ♥️😍
Leather is my preference. Better value. The requested prices for canvas are too expensive for the type of material.

Returning bags bad experience; it could be that they lose the commission, which is part of their salary. Not that this should be an excuse or acceptable behavior. I agree with you, unless you are absolutely sure with the purchase do not keep it.
Hi Minnie! Do you have any tips on establishing a relationship with a LV CA? I have made many purchases at various locations of the boutique but it is usually very busy and I am unable to form a good relationship with someone in particular. There are some new bags I would love to preorder but I am unsure on how to go about this. Thanks!
heather cohen i’d love to hear minnie’s tips as well. one way is to ask to see the particular client advisor you want to work with. I have asked the person for their usual work schedule so i know when they will be in the store. They should be giving you their business card to contact them directly as well. I have texted my CA in advance to let her know i was going in & what i was interested in seeing so that way she could set it aside or let me know if it was not available in store ☮️💟

hey minnie, sorry to hear about ur experience in chanel. in asia i feel good SAs are hard to come by, especially when ure not a regular. sometimes the SA scans you from head to toe to see if you're worth of servicing . if youre not, they give u really short answers and doesnt even smile
I would tell her you love her bag and have one and ask her if she minds if you wear the bag to work also. Can’t go wrong with that option.

Is it weird that I just purchased a pre-loved Speedy 30 in the monogram canvas 'specifically' because the vachetta had turned that gorgeous honey golden color? I just love it 🤷♀️. Absolutely not! I bought my speedy b 25 new 'cause it was my first luxe bag and i wasn't sure I was savvy enough to go the preloved route (plus I didn't find that many used and were quite expensive), but I can't WAIT for it to turn honey golden...sometimes I leave it next to the window in the sun to speed the process...getting there...
@@abbyl1449 🙌🙌 I'm not alone! I was going to purchase brand new but when I found one that was in amazing condition that had already turned I couldn't pass it up. Don't worry about being savvy when it comes to pre-loved! Just take your time and research the items you love so you know what you are specifically looking for. It gets easier over time and then you suddenly have so much knowledge. I started collecting 6 years ago and I finally, just yesterday, submitted a few things for quotes to sell (I was nervous before then). Good luck 😘

Another fabulous Monday! Thanks for your videos, appreciate all the insights! I have the Speedy B 25 in Monogram, which I love, but I’m having a touch time fitting my items inside. I’ve tried with an without an organizer. I almost wonder if I should have gotten the Speedy B30... I also have the Sac Bosphore, which I love and it does hold a lot! ❤️ Any suggestions, as I really think the 30 would be too big for a crossbody. Thanks!
I have Speedy B35 that I use crossbody as I felt the 30 was too small for my body frame. My LV store manager said the 30 is the most popular for crossbody
Did you try the B30? If not, take your B25 and receipt with you to your favorite boutique, if you are still able to exchange it. Try the B30 to see it will better suit your lifestyle.
In my opinion canvas is more durable. My canvas bags age wayyy better than my leather bags however leather bags can be repaired so I would say pick your poison 🤷🏽♀️.

I have a question for next time I have a Louis Vuitton speedy Bandouliere 30 in monogram canvas, I store the bag in its dust bag most of the time but I sometimes let it breathe. I have noticed that where the gold hardware meets the leather when the handles are down the leather has oxidised and has made a small but dark mark. How do you store your bags to prevent this from happening x

Minks4All yeah it is where it touches the bottom slightly it has oxidised but it’s so weird it’s only on the one side of the bag not the other love your videos BTW x
@@clarisestark6849 Aww thanks Babe! Since it's the hardware, it just might be rubbing on the leather when you use it, with the movement you create while walking, not storage? Are there so many new items people buy and barely use and they immediately sale them? I visited the fashionphile shop in NYC; they have more kelly and Birkin bags than the Hermes shop! Most of them are new and selling for more than 100% markup! Do you think people with contacts are buying brand new bags and immediately run to sale them? That is good business. I would love to hear your opinion.
Stela Diamant I did not know Fashionphile had a NYC shop. Saturday I just passed The Real Real new store on Madison Avenue, near Ladurée. As for the brand new items being in these shops, the personal shoppers are making a killing.
Stela Diamant Thank you so much Love ♥️ Its definitely possible, especially with sold out/htf items. I also think many of the items that are “new” might’ve been final sale pieces where the person changed their mind or gifts. As far as the Hermes bags, they do have a huge selection to choose from and the prices I feel come down to supply and demand. The B’s & K’s are hard to get in the boutiques but if it’s someone’s dream bag and they don’t feel like waiting forever and you’re willing to pay more, these consignment shops have you covered.
I live in the Tropics and my leather bags always get fungus on their surface.
Leather is more durable. Imagine, getting stains on your canvas bag (blood, oil, ketchup, etc) how would you remove that?
Oh goodness, I never thought about how to clean coated canvas! I love love my super large Gretta shopper from Dooney and Bourke. It’s such a great bag. Good question. Hope she responds to this. ❤️
@@kash7585 I handwashed my Think Tank Retro canvas (wax coated) camera bag. No damage noted. I guess I can still order a can of wax and apply a new layer of wax.

I always have the same struggle when deciding between adding something that I know will work for me (but I already have a lot of ) VS going for variety but I’ve always found its better to stick to what you know.. and if you so do venture out make sure it’s returnable just in case! 😂

Now you know that you can buy the strap of the LV Multi Pochette Accessories, will we be looking for a potential unboxing? 😊 I am also 100% agree with you on your POV wrt wearing same bag as the boss. I work in a corporate environment. Handbag as part of the outfit is definitely something on my mind as I am deciding what takes to the office. In the end, work is work. So, if wearing the same bag makes you uncomfortable or subconscious, definitely wait as the brain power is better spent on work and grow yourself than thinking how others will be perceiving you. 🙂

Question for MMQA (sorry if you’ve already answered this question) i just learned that christian louboutin makes handbags. What do you think of the cabata tote overall? Do you think its worth its price tag? Its the same price as a Neverfull MM. i think its gorgeous but i have a coach tote that is very similar in design and i dont know if i want to shell out LV bucks for a brand that im unfamiliar with their quality of bags. His bags are highly well-made. I have his frame bag. However, if you are not sure if this will be a forever bag, note the resell value may give you room to pause.

Silvia Diaz CL has some beautiful bags 😍 Just like the Doll above mentioned, they unfortunately don’t have the best resale value. I would recommend trying out a SLG to see how you like the materials/quality, before spending on a bag.

For your subbie who wanted the Loewe. Perhaps she can look at the resale mkt for the older model in small. The older model has feet and the broader strap.
canvas is hard to repair trust me leather only need to condition ones a year canvas prone to cracks

Hi. Another great minksmondays. Just my experience with the trendy cc small. I got it in pink and within a few weeks i have wear on the botton and more so on the back pocket which is beyond me because i rotate my bags daily and no rain no snow nothing major just simple daily use. I have the same wear issues with the bottom of my black chanel tote also in lambskin. I know claire has atleast 2 trendies and she only recently got some wear after ages of using those bags but i personally have suffered from the dreaded "delicate" lambskin. But it didn't stop because i just purchased the black jumbo in lambskin last month. So the 💗 wants what the 💗 wants 😉

Good morning! I'm just wondering if you would recommend any kind of leather protectant spray for the Gucci Marmont camera bag? I have it in the porcelain rose color and I'm terrified of color transfer as well I do not want a surprise rainstorm to ruin my bag if I was out and about. Obviously if it was pouring rain I would shove it up my shirt LOL to protect it but if a couple of droplets got on it I'm wondering if I would need some kind of leather protectant to prevent any staining or discoloration. If so, what would you recommend

So they basically preorder or know when to buy before they selll out!! Are they watching the purse forum or what!!! I would like to know ahead a time what’s gonna be released!!! Deciding whether to get the speedy bandouliere 30 damier ebene or empreinte, but I guess I would go for both.
I have a question for next week. I got a speedy 25 monogram back in Paris 2 years ago and love it but I find that I don’t wear it much because I’m scared to take it out. And I live in Canada so right now is probably the only season I can wear it. Do you have any suggestions on how to get myself to not be scared to wear it. The empreinte leather is extremely carefree and you can wear it in any weather :) I say bust it out and enjoy it. The more and more you use it, the more comfortable you'll feel :)
Hi , I just watched your videos on TH-cam, and I need your opinion about something. I got a multi Pochette green strap in Toronto Canadá , but mine is made in the USA but I notice that the monogram canvas is different to that one from made in France and yeah the SA said that there is a slightly differences between France, USA or Spain USA more Matte France sheen and soft, so knowing this you think that that is important? I don’t know if I should return it , but also I know that it is a difficult item to get and they said that made in France come randomly so no way to know untill they see it at the store . So please what is your opinion?

celestelise Hi Love! Since you’ve already gotten a feel for the brand and quality, I would go for a bag that you see yourself using all the time. Whether it’s a classic such as an Alma, Speedy or Noe or a newer bag, it’s all about your style and what speaks to you ♥️

How do you feel about the LV Dauphine mini? Due to quality issues I’ve exchanged the Pochette Métis twice in monogram and ended up with the PM in empriente. It’s now at LV repair because the lock sometimes opens without me noticing. If it’s an issue and I need to get another bag I was thinking of the Dauphine. I’m not sure I would want another PM. Your thoughts??

Your right on point! I love the feel of leather, but its too high maintenance, & as I get older I prefer lightweight bags, so Canvas is my go to bag. I like the fact that I can handle it vigorously, unlike leather I have to handle more gently & worry if I get it stained or scratched, so I only wear my leather bags on certain occasions, whereas my canvas bags are my everyday wear & I love how you can dress it up or dress it down so its good for all seasons & occasions!
