    This is one of the best car review videos I've seen. No drama, just a smooth and informative overview of the car. Great work Ben!

    What I'd really like when presenting a new or up dated model, is to have the new and old side by side so we can see exactly what changes have been made. Too many dealers have the outgoing model on sale as " new ". New it might be but not the latest model.

    Do you think that if the wheels were closer to the front it woulf handle better as the engine would be a little more mid.
    If do I wonder if the next shape will move the wheels forward

    Another fantastic video. Some great shots there. I was hoping you would drive off in the SL and have the DJI P4 follow you with Active Tracking. Perhaps that might be worth trying for next time.

      I thought about doing it, but didn't want to try the feature for the first time right then and there. Once I get more practice with the P4 I'll start experimenting. Thanks for watching!

    Great car Ben, but is it relevant these days with the S Class convertible and the AMG GT convertible. I'd take the S class myself

    • @BenWayne85
      @BenWayne85  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question Pete. I would say yes the SL is still relevant (not as relevant as it should be), as the S cab is a lot larger than an SL. Think of the SL as a two seater S-Class that is a bit more nimble. When compared to the AMG-GT, the SL is more daily driver friendly, as the ride is not as rough as the AMG-GT. You also get increased storage, cabin space, and a retractable hardtop. With all that being said the SL is in great need of a complete bodystyle change not only to upgrade the appearance with the rest of the fleet, but it also needs to receive the same tech updates as the remainder of the S-Class fleet. Mercedes-Benz did not hit the nail on the head with this current generation SL (2013 and later) as they have in the past. Expect a redesign in about 2 years.....

    would you take the sl or the s cab?

    • @BenWayne85
      @BenWayne85  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am convinced that one needs both the SL and the S Cab. If money was no object, I would go SL 63 AMG and then get a traditional S550 Cab. Reason being, I honestly don't think you need 500+ hp in a large luxury cabriolet that is built for cruising. How about yourself?

    • @David-kg5dk

      The SL roadster would be perfect for me, from what I gather it's more than comfortable enought to be an awesome cruiser. However, it lacks several key technologies (HUD; 360 Camera and S-Class interior) which I've grown accustumed to in my A6. However, having driven my bosses S8 a couple of times, I know I wouldn't want a huge car like that or the S-class. So actually, only a BMW 440i Covertible would fit the bill for me at the moment :)

    LOL - I want this car. Too bad for me, as I will have to wait 5-6 years until the price is in my range for a new(er) car. I have a 2006 SLK350 that is pristine, so it has to do for me until I can afford this one. That is one beautiful car.
    btw: Good review, and thanks.

      There is nothing wrong with waiting. In fact it is smarter because you wont be taking nearly as much depreciation as opposed to buying new!

    Hi Ben, would really like to see an up close and in depth review of the 2017 Maserati Gran Turismo Sport, with a full impression of its performance, driving dynamics, and total integration. Is it the best GT car in the world for someone who highly values beauty and room for four? Is the engine well mated to the car? Also I am interested in a female impression of the Maserati. Is it worth the price, about 150K fully outfitted? Look how I have set one up: www.configurator.maserati.com/configurator/v2/?configId=B228200F Would love to see extensive beauty shots. Good work. Thanks.
