I was think about what you pointed out around 39:00. As along as my sons love God with all their heart, soul, and mind I have never understood why Christian parents place more emphasis on what school their kids will go to or what job they will have. My mother-in-law who says she is Christian is more vocal about education than knowing Christ. Now I am struggling and praying for my husband to know Jesus because it was never expressed as the most important thing in his life. Same with my parents. When you really truly come to know Christ you realize that this is the most important thing in our existence. If my boys walk with Christ they will be ok no matter what.
I feel sad yet comforted at the same time after hearing this chapter. Messed up so much in my life, but God is merciful. Never thought I could find a full series of biblical teaching that nudges through my heart. My second year studying these series since early last year. Thank you very much Pastor Paul. How is it that on this specific day - my before bible study prayers coincided EXACTLY with what was in the next readings of my Bible Study(1 Samuel 11 - 12), it was not a coincidence, this I KNOW. Then after my prayers match the reading, I come to further reflect on the readings with your matching sermon video.... and you OPEN UP THE SERMON WITH EXACT SAME THINGS I HAD PRAYED ABOUT, LATER READ ABOUT..... and all of his coinciding..... 9 years after the fact of these beautiful and perfect words. May God bless you Pastor Paul. I don't have the words to describe the bounty of love that is overflowing in my heart from my Bible time tonight. There are just no words, just love. The love that God has for me, and that I have for him - as I have crowned him my King! And suddenly - my days are brighter, my shoulders lighter. Thank you for all of your insights and teachings.
