For some reason after coming across the old time radio episodes of Sherlock Holmes adventures while looking for something new to listen to (I think it is called “serendipity”…) I have become quite addicted to them. It is well worth listening to radio ads for items that were available at the time the episodes were originally broadcast, wine and “hair tonic” for example, just to be able to enjoy such over the top acting by Nigel Bruce. Despite the part of Sherlock being played by an actor who sounds remarkably like Basil Rathbone I can’t help but think what another actor rather than Nigel Bruce would have made of the role as Dr. Watson (a doctor who never seemed to do any doctoring!). The average length of the compilations of episodes is just about perfect - any longer would have been a little too much in my humble opinion… Please accept a very big thank you from me for taking the time to compile and upload the episodes to TH-cam for us to share and enjoy. Thorvald (pronounced Tourval), Norwegian aged 26.
I have need a healthy distraction from all the craziness from the political climate these days... So thank you very much for this and for the time and energy putting all of these audio's together...💚🧐
Great show Dino! I'm very confused about the speckled band however because if anyone thinks that a venomous lizard could possibly be a purse has to get his eyes checked.
