I enjoyed listening to Seth try and argue that he was not in fact the world's biggest douche in game 1

raul pacheco glorious end exiles every effect and spell on the stack and instantly moves to cleanup/ next turn after it resolves

op is short for original poster not opponent
He was just as dead to Negate, so he couldn't have been TOO surprised.
Shawn Diaz op is also short for opponent sometimes. It's also short for over-powered or operation sometimes.
bunnysnack makes more sense to shorten opponent to opp imo and overpowered and original poster don't get mixed up because one's an adj and the other's a noun. op is only really short for operation as a suffix but I get you there

Like how you knew that OP was referring to the opponent because they were talking about magic, and you (should have) understood that I was just referring to the original poster because I'm referring to our internet discussion.
And you can prefer "opp" but a whole lot of people on youtube and twitch use "op" and understand each other perfectly.

Heck, he could have cast it sooner. He had backups that could have done it if they tried next turn.

So my friend was on the last deck you played against (GR Pummeler) and we basically had a pretty good discussion on whether him ignoring your Nissa game 1 was correct or not. After reviewing the footage, and assuming how you'd have played had he made different lines of play (based off of what you talk about your plays being while you are playing) we came to the conclusion that yes, him ignoring the Nissa lost him the game :P
At the time it's a really hard decision, but in the end I'm pretty sure it was the Nissa emblem that won me that game.
My thinking there was just try to beat down because Lord knows what Seth is ever playing:P

Also the last fling was going to go to Gideon. figured it was my only way to win. forgot to pump pummeller anyway to get over 6 power.
What would you put in the deck for the angel?? I'm probably going to build this in paper as all I need are the new Gideons and the glorious ends. I've been struggling to find a naya walkers list since shadows came out.

Actually, Glorious end when Ulamog and its abilities are on the stack sounds pretty sweet, as a cheaper summary dismissal.
Of course it doesn't work if you don't have access to a Gideon emblem.
Yeah, it's like the two cards combo version of Summary Dismissal.

Just for future reference, Ending the turn exiles all spells and effects on the stack, so exiling his approach the first time you cast it means he cant win the game. I also feel as though this didn't need to be naya. You don't really need the wrath the 5 green cards could have been burn spells, why not ajani?
Green gives you Nissa, tho, both of which give you creatures and card draw. Both Nissas put it some serious work in my opinion.

Super sweet deck! Would like to see how much game it has vs marvel. Seems like getting an ulamog and its cast trigger of the stack is actually pretty good.

You know what I just realized, Glorious End is potentially amazing vs Marvel and Zombies. Against Marvel you just cancel their turn if they hit Ulamog, they don't even get the cast triggers. And vs Zombies you can use Glorious End as a fog then kill them. This would only work if you're aggro as well though.

I also like the jeskai shell with being able to torrential glorious end back and u have dissallow as well to stop the "you lose the game" from glorious end

Jeskai with spirits would be more consistent in terms of mana + card draw, and the flyers would be a decent use of extra turns with repeatable flying damage. People will expect counter spells, though, so I guess that negates the point of the deck.
I seriously love how you can add the name of the deck and mix it with "mulligan" every time..
Hey Seth, does Gideon Emblem work on timeouts? I mean you can't lose the game right?
I think that's a game rule that overrules any in-game effects?
From the judge rulings on the card: No game effect can cause you to lose the game or cause any opponent to win the game while Gideon’s emblem is in effect. It doesn’t matter whether you have 0 or less life, you’re forced to draw a card while your library is empty, you have ten or more poison counters, you’re at your Glorious End, your opponent casts a second Approach of the Second Sun, or so on. You keep playing.
4/18/2017 Other circumstances can still cause you to lose the game. You will lose a game if you concede, if you’re penalized with a Game Loss or a Match Loss during a sanctioned tournament due to a DCI rules infraction, or if your Magic Online® game clock runs out of time.

The opponent scooped to early game 1, right?
He was at 11 live and Seth had a "you lose the game" trigger at end of turn. For what the opponent knows, Seth might not have a Gideon or Glorious end in hand, and lose the game on endstep.
Pretty sure he gave up to early there.

I initially was just Naya, but at the last minute (after looking at the PT metagame) I threw in a couple of Botanical Sanctum's and four Negate in the sideboard.

Glorious End in response to New Perspectives would have been much easier, but I guess Seth was in it for the long con.
Could you play disallow in some amount, rather then negate, so you could fail-safe stop the activated part of glorious end, incase you didn't have the angel, or the gideon/emblem up?
Locke Cole I don't know if there's enough blue mana support to play a double blue spell. Also 3 is a lot more than 2 in this case

This is gonna be a stupid question but is this still standard legal? If not this very deck.. a deck similar in design. I haven't played standard in a really long time and it sort of all lost to me.
27 people have had their hard earned combo, and 13 minute turn thwarted with one card.

Maybe. The same combos work, but some of the more expensive planeswalkers will be a bit slow.
