I am retired now, but still get up early to clean and straighten up our home. I honestly think that I am busier now than when I was working! And, my husband passed away in February, so it’s just my daughter and myself tackling the house chores. My daughter had extreme allergies and started getting allergy shots….it made a huge difference in her life. I decorate with patriotic decor for the summer… flags, geraniums, the whole gambit, lol! Lauren, you are an amazing wife and mother.
I am semi-retired now, but when I worked, my routine was like most working moms' routines---get up at 5:00 a.m., work all day, make dinner, do some laundry, and then pass out from exhaustion.
Hey Lauren. For allergies... Have you tried to use honey harvested from the area that you live in? It helps my husband with his allergies. A bee farmer told him that if you consume honey from the area you live in, you build a tolerance against the pollin from the plants and flowers that causes those allergies. Good luck. I hope you find relieve. Love your channel.
When my kids were little, I used to set a timer for five minutes and we would see what we could pick up, put away, clean in each room. They thought it was actually fun and it helped me stay on top of their messes. I still do something similar with my first grade class. Thank you for inspiring us to live a productive, healthy lifestyle. I really enjoy your videos!
Hi, yes same with me. We use to sing together after play "Tidy up time, tidy up time" it just made a it fun and not a chore 😊. That was 38 years ago, my Daughter now a Mother of 3mth old. Our first beautiful Granddaughter, can't express the love I feel for her. ❤💖🙏. I'm hope I will be singing that with her one day. We all love Super women Lauren and her wonderful life in Napa Valley. 🇺🇸Sending love to all from Rosie O 🌹from Devon England 🇬🇧👏
I have to make my bed as soon as I get up. Most cookie trays end up looking like yours . I do t have a routine in the morning except for bed. It’s just me and my husband here now. Garden look wonderful.
Thanks a bunch for sharing the pillow!! I’ve been looking for a good quality ortho pillow forever! Just ordered it and hopefully it works like a charm 😉 take care 😃
I used to have bad allergies. I started going to a chiropractor. Amazing results, haven't taken an allergy pill or mose spray in years. I've gotten a little stuffed up this year but got into the chiropractor and he got those sinus working.
I'm retired but keep grandkids on Mondays and Wednesdays. We cleaned out the craft crate and I got new supplies for the summer. We also have a pool which keeps them busy. For myself I always get up an hour earlier than I need to so that I can have "quiet " time. I do Bible devotions and write in my daily journal. Sometimes I just set and listen to the birds. I have been told that using local honey helps with allergies. I use it and mine doesn't seem too bad this year. I love your channel and can't wait for the next video 😊
Lauren, I hope you feel better really soon! ❤ My sinuses have been awful lately too. I don't comment very often, but I love your videos! I feel like I'm hanging out with a friend (even though I am much older than you! 😂 Your home is so beautiful and cozy, and your backyard is gorgeous! I love your cats, little Chewy (I think that's the little guy's name hiding under your comforter lol) and your chickens are so pretty and sweet! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us! 😊💕🌷
Great video Lauren!! No new schedule for me for the summer. I work outside the home so I keep it pretty consistent year round. Wake up around 3:50 am and do my devotional. Then I work out . Head out to work around 5:45am. Get home from work around 4pm. Do whatever is my chore for the day - eat dinner, hang out with family then start getting ready for bed around 7:45am. I’m usually sleeping no later than 9pm.
Bravo getting the kids making their own lunches and making healthy choices! Bet that garden will become inspiring for them as it is for you…and me! Our basil plant has gone bonkers so I am def trying this recipe. Thx!
I'm a RN and also suffer from allergies so badly. The allergist told me to use Flonase too- (2 squirts, 2 times a day until they get under control and then 1 squirt once a day moving on) and it worked. It took a few days to kick in, but then RELIEF. Allergies are miserable. Hugs.
Tip…when you redo kitchen, have an electric outlet installed behind one of the drawers with no back. Great for hiding chargers and electronics. Also I think staining ( not paint) raised beds and fence a slate black would elevate the space. And outlets can be spay painted black or color of surrounding area as maybe the one staring in your face in the island lol!
My husband and I have been using the Flonase Semimist the past few years and it helps us so much better. I am currently dealing with a sinus infection. This year has been the worst on sinus and allergy issues for us. Hope you get yours worked out and feeling better. Have a wonderful day!
Love your pets .. house and yard look so comfortable. Like your raised garden beds .. I would love the weighted blanket. Take care hope your allergies are better soon.
Everything is beautiful as always. Your videos inspire me so much, and make me smile so big. As far as my decor, blue and white dishes and as many pops of red as I can. Since my hubby is a USMC I have flags everywhere in the summer. He hasn’t been in for a while, but once a Marine, always a Marine ❤
Love your videos. Love the products you share with us and all your decorating and cooking tips. You give me inspiration. I have watched for a few years. My allergies have gotten the best me this year so understand feeling tired, congested having to change up the medication. My allergies have interfered with me getting as much decorating around my house and in my backyard. I did have a toxic tree taken out, Japanese Privet, and feel good about it. I was so allergic to it and such a messy tree. I would recommend not planting in your yard. Looking forward to you planting citrus trees in pots around your backyard. Have a great summer.
It’s just hubby and myself and we’re usually up early having coffee together before we start our day. I feed cats and unload dishwasher while coffee is brewing and I plan out the day while hubby makes the bed before work starts. We have a construction company and I’m in the home office or running errands. In between tasks I get the house cleaned up and laundry done. I can sympathize with you on the allergies. They are brutal this year.
As soon as I started seeing you use the Dawn power wash spray, I bought it and am obsessed with it! It makes doing my pots and pans super fast and easy!! Thank you!🎉🎉
During stressful times - of which there are many - I found recently that making a huge (for me) sacrifice of having no chocolate and limiting myself to only 2 tablespoons of my cold coffee concentrate in my morning smoothie helped eliminate 99% of my negative physical reactions to stress. No dwelling on the stress without being productive, no racing heart when overthinking the stressor (and using all my energy that could be used more productively)....one day - I have my morning coffee, went out shopping and had a frap. loaded with chocolate (and the shot of espresso) - and I went into worry overdrive. My husband asked what was up and I told him I had double caffeine/chocolate that day. I feel it is a huge sacrifice - because I love coffee - even decaf will exacerbate my stress reactions - but it has been wonderful - I sleep better and actually wake up surprised that I feel as much energy as I did when I had coffee - granted that took a horrible, pity-party week on my part - lol...but it's worth a try. I try to keep in mind my favorite fortune cookie fortune I ever got in my entire life - it said "Worry is interest on a debt you may not owe.". Do what you can and don't let anyone get you down. Also - one thing that is good to do - go get your Vitamin D level tested at the lab. A lot of problems are caused by low Vitamin D levels - inquire with your trusted medical providers.....maybe there is something in the particular brand of bedding for your chickens that is an allergen - and maybe it's as simple as changing to a different type! From the outside - you have so much responsibility - but you also seem to have so much strength - hang in there! You give the gift of calm and strength to so many friends and strangers in the world - we all wish the same for you!!!!
I struggle with really bad allergies and everybody this year seems to have it. Worse flow nails is good and also try zurich or claritin you'll feel so much better❤❤
My summer decor is patriotic I keep it up until late September then I start to transition to fall slowly with apples and leaves into pumpkins and acorns. My schedule is pretty much the same through the year, I get up around 6:00 make myself some tea, take the dog for a walk usually come back home and make breakfast. The rest of the day I get most of the chores done, or if I need to do chores out of the home I try to get them done before early afternoon, around 5:30 I get dinner doing, clean up and get ready for bed, bath, relax, read? You will not need anymore mint it spreads like crazy and you will have a-lot of it.
Retired teacher here! I get to wake up without an alarm (best part of retirement), then coffee and NYTimes online, Wordle and 2 other games to keep my mind engaged. Summer has our neighborhood pool finally open, so I lead a small group of ladies in water aerobics. Then lunch and some work on my part-time "job" selling on eBay. ( I've always loved summer! I'm sure getting regular hits of Vitamin D helps. Wish I had my own pool....yours is so nice!)
Hi Lauren, have you thought of installing a drip system for your garden? It will greatly benefit your plant production and make your life a bit easier...just a thought.💖
Lauren, Hope u feel better soon. Dinner looks soo fresh and yummy. You know how to pamper urself and I'm not mad at u.Ive cleaned front and back yards and planted flowers for the season it really gave me a sense of accomplishment. 🕶💕
HAPPY WEDNESDAY Lauren, family, and all the fur babies. GOLLY GEE Your garden is looking good. Our grandbabies have been out of school since 24th. Our daughter in law just had her last day today; she is a second grade Teacher. Our eldest son, her husband, sells NY Life Insurance. If I dont get my bed mad first thing my whole day is off, not sure why but it is. I have such terrible allergies that I use both flonase and xyzal. They help about 95% of my allergies. I've been tested and basically my pets and landscaping I'm allergic to. Grass, trees, dogs and Guinea pigs. My youngest is 16 and he does online school all year round. So my routine doesn't change much. Just clean, cook and repeat....
I also have 4 kids and watching your videos gives me so much inspiration to do different/fun things with them! Thank you! Will look into that dollar tree hack for sure! ;P
I have a cookie tray that looks very similar to yours. Like you, I don't want to part with it. It is an extremely heavy duty one. I just put parchment on it. That chicken dish looks delish. I am Italian, love my fresh mozzarella and tomato salad. Thank you for sharing Lauren. Always a pleasure watching your videos. Hoping you feel much better from your allergies.🤗
Your chickens are so cute. Try rebar driven into all corners and halfway down the middle. Then hoop pvc pipe inserting into rebar like a half moon. You can paint pvc black. Lay netting over and use clips to hold in place. Keep cats from using them as litter boxes and birds out but allow pollinators in.🐝 Id recommend mulching to conserve moisture like hay or wood chips. Here are some great Garden TH-cam's; Garden Answer, Growing in the Garden, Epic Gardening, and California Gardening. 🌱 Is the irrigation not working? I ask because you hand water. There are timers that are a pretty easy diy.
I'm so glad to hear your kiddos are taking on more responsibilities, also that Ron is really working hard! You guys are a great team. While I love a good hot cup of Joe in the morning, I've been hydrating instead. I have at least 20 oz of water beginning as soon as my feet hit the floor around 6:30 a.m. I drink that 20 oz tumbler of water while I'm getting ready for work and during my 45 min commute. Only when I'm at work do I get a cup of coffee. My company provides a Keurig, which is super helpful, especially since I have a Starbucks 3 businesses down from my store! Hydrating first helps me to stay fuller longer, so I can fast until around 1 or 2 p.m. I'll have another 20 oz throughout the morning. Makes a huge difference in my skin too!
I'm curious about your nails! I know you buy them and do them yourself how well do they hold up in 💧 and hand washing all the time? Thanks love the videos❤
Cute down on you spray cleaning products, I know they smell great, but, use white vinegar and water. You can even add a little dawn dish soup for a deeper clean. Add all to spray bottle. This might help allergies.
Sweetheart, Lauren, when I was younger, I used to have very bad Hay fever, and I took medication, that helped in the beginning, but when my body, got used to it, it didn’t help. I feel your pain, and I will pray for your intention, and you feel better soon. 😮 Your garden, looks beautiful, and your cats r adorable, and I couldn’t believe it, how one the cats, stayed under the comforter. Wow, what a delicious look. Beautiful Enjoy your dinner and thanks for sharing. 😘🙏👍✨🌹❤️💫🌺🌻🌟✝️
Late watching your video as I had family visiting. I love your videos. You are genuine and make me laugh. “This feels squash-like.”😂 ❤. So glad I found you on TH-cam. 😊
Yesterday's video made me laugh so much, it was so cute how you told your chicken to "shake it off" and she did... too sweet!! BTW, didn't you plan to do your wooden plank living room floors and show us some of the wood a few weeks ago or was that for something else? I can't wait to see your floors done, I know it's going to make such a difference. Always love your videos Lauren, and your awesome recipes! Thank you!
Hi Lauren,, I think you would do well to put your mint into a large pot of it's own. It'll run mad through the herbs that planted with it. Happy gardening 🌱🌿
When my kids were about your kids age they had fun time in the evening making their lunch for the next day and then making a ‘lunch nighttime snack’ before bed.
I haven’t worked the summer out yet. That’s not like me. Remolding is going on. We got a brand new puppy and we’re getting potty trained.. awesome video 💙💙💙💙💙💙
Girl...ya don't want to know. Up at 3:30 AM. Retired and still trying to figure it out. But I stay busy. The things keep coming. Good luck with the allergiers...they suck!

So glad that the kids are helping out with the lunches. Every little bit helps and it is teaching them life skills and to be more independent 😊
I am semi-retired now, but when I worked, my routine was like most working moms' routines---get up at 5:00 a.m., work all day, make dinner, do some laundry, and then pass out from exhaustion.

Love the recipe - looks really delious!! 🔥 Thank you for making these videos Lauren, I really enjoyed today's video
They can also learn to pick up and put away their toys. I taught my children to do that as early as age four. They love to help.

Love your channel Lauren!! Doing my dishes & cleaning kitchen alongside you! Crazy how things get dishevelled everyday! ❤
Love you and your channel! So much inspiration and motivation. Thank you!
Thank you so much!!!
You haven’t done a Q & A video in so long ….would love to see another one. 😊 Any chance there’s one coming?
My husband and I have been using the Flonase Semimist the past few years and it helps us so much better. I am currently dealing with a sinus infection. This year has been the worst on sinus and allergy issues for us. Hope you get yours worked out and feeling better. Have a wonderful day!
The cat curled up under the covers as you make your bed had me cackling 😂
Thanks Lauren, so enjoyed as always.....you always do amazing and are awesome!
That meal is everything!! All my favorite foods in one. So so yummy.
Oh wow! I am a back sleeper. I have TMJ and arthritis and fibro I am going to try that thanks!

My husband and I just had this recipe tonight and it was sooo delicious! Thank you for sharing!❤
For the summer I'm going with red, white and blue with touches of black mixed in.
It’s just hubby and myself and we’re usually up early having coffee together before we start our day. Have you ever thought of printing a publication of a cookbook?? Love your recipes ❤
The best garden on TH-cam for sure :) + 🐓🐓
I really enjoy your videos, thank you for sharing all that you do. LOVE todays music!!!!!

BTW, didn't you plan to do your wooden plank living room floors and show us some of the wood a few weeks ago or was that for something else? I can't wait to see your floors done, I know it's going to make such a difference. Always love your videos Lauren, and your awesome recipes! Thank you!
OH Lauren! I feel sooo bad for you with those allergies! I swear by Flonase, its the best!
Just wondering if your still liking your countertops? And how are the holding up ?
Hi Lauren,, I think you would do well to put your mint into a large pot of it's own. It'll run mad through the herbs that planted with it. Happy gardening 🌱🌿
When my kids were about your kids age they had fun time in the evening making their lunch for the next day and then making a ‘lunch nighttime snack’ before bed.
Feel better 💕
Where did you purchase the striped coverlet and pillows on your bed?
Wow! That's looks delish!!!
Does Chewy like the weighted blanket

Lauren, did you throw your dishwasher soap in the bottom of the dishwasher? Mine always sticks in the slot.
Would be great to do it your way .
You can put them in with the silverware for good results, too (tip from a repairman when we mentioned that problem).
@@fiveandfour thank you!

I haven’t worked the summer out yet. That’s not like me. Remolding is going on. We got a brand new puppy and we’re getting potty trained.. awesome video 💙💙💙💙💙💙
All our cookie sheets look like that - means you actually cook! :D
Hey Lauren why don’t you turn on the drip in your flower bed it’s better for the plants… love your videos ❤
Do you still have tea with the kids at night. That was such a sweet family time tradition.
I'm mixing my decor between icecream and fruit
My husband is allergic to everything!! His Dr ordered QNasal spray for him, it works fabulous, no more snorting and snotting.
Girl...ya don't want to know. Up at 3:30 AM. Retired and still trying to figure it out. But I stay busy. The things keep coming. Good luck with the allergiers...they suck!
if you clean that cookie pan with a sos or brillo soap pad it will look new and clean...just sayin...i love all your energy ....
Did you know that your supposed to season your cookie trays so they will bake evenly? Your cookie tray looks fine just like it is😊
Nicevideo again. My house is already in lemon.
