I’ve only been to Italy twice and as far as I’m aware I have no Italian blood but every time I see this country, I feel like I’m home. The sense of peace and happiness that sweeps over me is overwhelming.
Well your request has come true. I've been filming Italy walks for the last two weeks and if I zoom, it is very slow and controlled now. I've filmed Rome, Catania, Palermo, Cefalu, Taormina, Valletta, Mdina, Marsaxlokk, Popeye Village and next I'll be filming Venice and Lake Garda.

Yes, I think so...at least once. Like in Rome, you can see the Trevi Fountain without crowds before 8am...but afterwards it's a crowded madhouse. Once the hoards of tourists arrive (of which I am one of couse)...things feel a little less real.

I love this channel but I'd like to see less stereotypical places in Italy. Near Naples there is Benevento that is a beautiful city, or not far from Rome there is Sulmona; without considering all the Northern cities and towns. Italy is full of wintry-er places, and yet we see only the sea, beaches, sun; it's quite a pity, since most of the Italian peninsula is made up of hills and mountains.
I've been to Benevento and many many hill towns in the area. I would go exploring all the time, but unless you hit them on the right days, the towns can be pretty quiet...and also, when I was living there, I was also working full time, so I only had so much time to get out and film. I know what you mean though. I will try to film more off the beaten path type of locations.

You'd think that a REAL fishing village would have a bustling harbor this time in the morning. Makes me think the whole thing is just touristy bullshit.
