I've been working on this almost non-stop for the last three weeks (and the last 5 hours just cleaning up slides since i actually finished it last night.)
I might end up writing a fic for it since there's a lot more to this story i might want to tell but this got my point across quite well, better than i thought it would actually. I love it!

I was doing fine until the whole "I don't know what you mean, we've never met," at which point I burst into tears. This is really awesome.

My god, the fact Crowley waited patiently throughout centuries for Aziraphel ( 3:14 ) made me sob so much.
For a demon to be this gentle, sweet, UNWAVERING, beats the shit out of my heart. [SP0iL3R] Even on the brink of the destruction of everything, he still thought of Aziraphel, Aziraphel came first. HE threw out everything and just said fuck it, when he thought Aziraphel died, drinking away knowing Hell is after do destroy him because Escaping means nothing if it’s not with his angel.
Shit I’m sorry I came from Tumblr and fuck I’m binge watching every Good Omens Animatic just because.

@@savannahhague7412 I don't know if you've watched the show since you commented this, but I'll give you a little backstory. Crowley was an angel who essentially wanted to know WHY humans had to suffer so much and why Angels weren't allowed the same freedom of choice and he kept asking god about it.
After one too many questions, God cast him down with Lucifer's bunch and he became a demon. He was assigned to watch over Earth and to tempt as many souls to their side as possible but he doesn't actually want to hurt anyone so he just lies and says he's responsible for the evil things humans are doing on their own (he'll actually HELP humans on the sly, especially children). Aziraphale was assigned the Angel to watch over Earth and counter Crowley but the two end up actually caring for one another and the humans. It's hinted that the whole reason god made Crowley fall was so he'd be the demon on Earth and so he and Aziraphale could counter the selfish actions of the demons and angels and help the humans to survive the war the two sides want to fight.

Love this! Alpha centauri! Them knowing each other before the fall is my new favorite head canon so I will keep an eye out for that fic!! Every time that chorus comes in, ahhhhhh, all the feels :D
I actually prefer the head canon that they met for the first time post-fall because I think it makes their friendship more special as they had more mistrust to overcome and trust to build, but damn if I wasn't completely and utterly charmed by this. It was so rawly emotional. All that toddling around heaven happily together hand in hand made the moment Aziraphale refused to follow Crowley more poignant, and the moment Aziraphale had to watch him fall while failing to catch him more tragic. Honestly, the scene where Aziraphale looks at the all the physical proof of Crowley's fall got me more than the rejection and sobbing, the way it was perfectly married to the music. I thought you got Aziraphale's fear of Heaven and strong desire to do the right thing being behind his rejection of Crowley's constant overtures, which I think is still true regardless of whether or not they knew each other pre-fall. It showed me them knowing each other pre-fall didn't mean it was easier to overcome mistrust and build trust. It took a long time for Aziraphale and a lot of effort from Crowley for them to realise it didn't have to destroy the friendship.
Well he does ask for Crowleys name so it isn't really head cannon

Sounds interesting! I personally believe that Aziraphale knew Crowely a little bit before Crowley fell and wasn't affected that much and that he really started to get to know Crowley after he had fallen.

I think this may be my favorite interpretation of their story. Crowley working so hard to make it up to his angel after his fall caused so much distress. And when Aziraphale finally, not just takes his hand, but reaches out first. I just…I can’t 😍

I rewatch this from time to time and still cry Every Single Time, and I mean tears streaming down my face. How did you get so much emotion into Aziraphale crying on the ground when we can't even see his face? And I sob again when the 'camera' pans up at the very end.
