In my humble opinion, this is one of the most useful lessons in the programme. These phrases are really helpful for communicating in Portuguese and they anticipate real problems that people may encounter. Muito obrigado.
This is useful but why are you speaking so fast your supposed to be teaching people how to say the words how can they learn to say the phrases if you say it so fast
@@danapereira101 Did you know you can select a different playback speed on TH-cam? That way, you can start as slowly as you like and increase the speed gradually until you're listening at the speed of the native speaker! 😀
@@danapereira101 I hale the same problem, its to fast... but you can slow down in setings..
love to watch this everyday to improve my Portuguese language
These are the most important first sentences to learn in any language. Obrigado :)
That was even very useful! Please do more such useful phrases lessons, muito apreciado!
Agree - even having followed Portuguese Lab for a while, these basic videos with phrases are always helpful. Re-enforcing learning is very rewarding and there is invariably a new word or phrase to pick up. Also love the "must know" adjectives and verbs - again, the phrases bring these to life and there is always something new to learn. Please keep up the GREAT work!!!
I used this series to prepare for my trip to Portugal. Great series and this is one of the best episodes!
I’m so happy to find a Portuguese language lesson from Portugal 🇵🇹🤩 because normally I just find Portuguese from Brazil 🇧🇷 nothing against the Brazilian Portuguese,is just that the Brazilian Portuguese uses many English words ,like;train, bike and many mores, that the Portuguese from Portugal 🇵🇹 don’t.one is not better than the other one,is just a bt different. So well done for your work 😉👏👏👏👏❤️💯
would love more videos like this, phrases we can start using straight away in real life! thank you x

Excelent video!. I hope for part II 🙂
Este vídeo está óptimo. As frases são muito práticas, a dicção é excelente e com a tradução não há como não perceber. Vou enviar a amigas que estão a aprender português de Portugal. Nota 10.
Obrigada! :)
Nice Pronunciation
Great video! It’s very helpful and practical for Portuguese learners. Muito obrigado!
Fabulous resources, Susana. It helps a ton to hear the expressions in short phrases. I recommend the Portuguese Lab often to others who, like me, are committed to learning better Portuguese. Muito obrigada!
Mui obrigada, Britta. :)
It is a greatest channel to learn European Portuguese to beginner like me. I am little bit confused about the differences between "pode" and "podia", for example "podia falar mais devagar?" , "pode falar mais devagar?".
Olá, obrigada! "pode" is in the present (can you) and "podia" is in the imperfect (could you).
Muito bem professora. Obrigado
Amazing video! Some phrases are easy to remember as they are similar or exact in Spanish (e.g. claro).
muito obrigado
You are a legend.... I really appreciate your work thank you so much
Great lesson! Thank you!
Muito Obrigado 🙏

Muito obrigada ❤️
Thanks.

Obrigada
Useful phrases. They come at you a bit fast, though. Makes it tricky even clicking pause/play. Longer pauses and slower pronunciation would help.
Thanks lots. Please give irregular verb past and future form. Please. Please
Acho essas frases úteis para aprender português
obrigadooo

Boa tarde
For "could you help me?" you use imperfect ie podia rather than conditional poderia? (??)
Yes, that's correct. Informally it's common to use the imperfeito instead.
Não tenho bastante tempo para practicar com isso video.
I wished the Portuguese groups I know could speak as clear as you do. I get lost in their conversations.
hope i can impress my portuguese father and grandparents ;) eu espero que eu pode impressionar o meu pai e o meus avós (i hope thats right haha)
In the frase instead pode is possa.
João Teixeira thank you! is it because it is conjunctive?
@@zokhay5914
Precisely! :)
que eu possa --> present conjunctive
As a more simple alternative, you can use the infinitive "poder"
"eu espero poder impressionar o meu pai e os meus avós"
(btw there was a missing 's' in "os meus avós", since it's plural)
Hope it helps, you can ask anything
Very Good video...Seems there is a fine line on when to use Podia vs Pode? Podia ajudar-me / Pode ajudar-me - Can you help me understand when to use each?
It's the same as in English (can you/pode, could you/podia). Podia is more polite when making a request.
@@Portugueselab Obrigado!
值得一看
Em outras palavras ou por outras palavras.
Otorrinolaringologista???
Tenho que procurar essa palavra no dicionário.
Não a conheço.
I think you can just say otorrino, more simple..
@@joaoteixeira7410 palavras de medicina.

Is this portuguese portugal or brazilian?
This is European Portuguese.
i have a funny story XD i used to confuse constipação as constipation XDD
should be tem as horas? or sabe que horas são? ... tem horas, doesn't sound to me complete enough.
someone who speaks English wants to practice talking by audio (for example on Instagram) just answer me, because I speak Portuguese and I am wanting to practice English.
I like your lessons and would subscribe, but I think it's way too expensive. I would do it for $15 a month.
why esta bem is alright and not esta bom?
Plz you can write one english and on other side portuguese Langoge, So we can understand nicelity!!
Be more useful if it wasn’t so fast
Disculpe, but I find the structure "O que é que acha?" very clumsy. Can't you just say something like "O que acha?" like in Spanish?
When I speak with my brother I just ask "que achas?"
"O que é que acha" is used when you talk with people you barely know, or when speaking to your elders its the polite way. When you talk with a friend or someone you have some affinity alreathy you can say "Que achas". (Edit: spelling mistake)
Why achar de as in "achas do filme"? I remember achar doesn't need to take the preposition "de" when used to mean "think / reckon"
In this case you need "de" because you're asking what the person thinks "about" something (achar de: to think/have an opinion about). Examples: O que achas? (What do you think?) / O que achas da comida? (What do you think about the food?) / O que eu acho do Pedro não te interessa. (What I think about Pedro doesn't concern you.)
Obrigado.
Obrigado
