I've noticed the Japan parks have a larger variation in headgear as opposed to the US, that might be why there's less of a focus on producing a large amount of Minnie ears specifically? The Japanese are also very matchy matchy when it comes to their park outfits so that might play a part too ?
Hi Chris!! Just recently got back from Tokyo including 4 days at TDR! We were there the day the memory go round merch dropped so we snagged that tote bag that sold out, thanks to your guide explaining standby passes!! Overall had an incredible time and thank you for sharing your love for these parks, and inspiring us to go explore them ourselves ❤
Happy Canada Day, Chris! I can’t choose what I love more! Definitely the clear file art and the curtains. I was sad they didn’t have a retro themed large tote but you can’t win them all. The bucket hat is giving Randy River vibes 😂
I definitely know what you're saying about the ears! In the US most of the designs are specifically themed to something so each pair has a lot going on but the Tokyo ones (while some do have a theme) seem to be mostly based on aesthetic. I personally prefer the simplicity of the Tokyo ones 😊
I really loved your videos with the Today guides! It was nice to see all the cool new merch in one paper. I wanna get that shirt and bucket hat too. And I gotta have that stamp set!! ^_^

LOVE your Spice Girls shirt! I remember the logo on their first album. I still have the cassette tape. 😅😊🥰 I wish the retro stuff will still be there when we go to Tokyo Disneyland. I’m going to Tokyo Disneyland at the end of the month!! A few years ago we moved away and we were unable to go. Now that we are back on a vacation, we will go and have fun! I can’t wait.

I got a WEIRD Mickey pin in a random lot of pins I got from Ebay and was like, "what the heck is this strange Mickey face"? OMG! You showed the Mickey Review curtains and that's it!!! It's the Mickey tragedy face from the curtains!! It all makes sense, now! It's still a weird looking pin, but at least now I know! THANK YOU!!!

I’m back agaik now and will be heading to Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea in a few weeks and can’t wait to get some of this great merchandise. Question. I am an XL in the U.S. what size do you’d think I need in Japan and to they sell it there?
It really depends on your body type. As I mentioned in the video, for myself I'm usually a Medium (M) in North America and I go up one size to Large (L) here in Japan. The general rule of thumb is go one size up in Japan. You may fit an XL (called LL) but it depends. A size up would be 3L (XXL) but not all shirts go up to that size, it varies depending on the line.

Ok, I haven't been able to find Any definitive evidence of them existing, but other than the nanoblocks set did they ever make models of Hotel Hightower? I think I see some in a video from a few years ago but the person filming was more interested in the New York City Preservation Society trashcans than what looked like models. Did such an item ever exist or am I just seeing it that way when it isn't?
I guess I have to contemplate which is more expensive - going to Japan and TDS so that I could buy these, or dealing with scalpers on Buyee and their insane shipping fees...
ZOMG I hope I can get the 20 000 league and Aquatopia Tomica in November! I actually went out of my way to order the Storm Rider tomica from Mandarake! Cost m 30$ and I have no regrets :p
Hmm, if I had to say anything about the ears it's that they're kinda low key. Like you could wear them to any event on or off Disney property if you wanted to and you can match outfits, whereas the themed ears the USA has may be a little more difficult to wear outside the parks, and even then they are more a mood than an accessory, if that makes sense? Is this new merch only for the summer? my parents might be going in october and the Duffy and Friends birthday merch is so cute! Probably not though, since Halloween merch will be moving in at that point, right? Thank you for another amazing vid! I hope someday I'll be able to visit.

Just leaned that Disneyland doesn’t even control Tokyo Disney and is owned by the Oriental Land Company. Why I think the merch always looks so differently packaged etc compared to other Disneylands.
