    This gave me ideas to try and make tsukemen. That thick broth looked heavenly. :)
    I like Frank - he fits really well with you two and the way you gentlemen interact with foods; just like you two, he doesn't say something is "bad", but "different". To me, I feel that it's bad manners to say "ew, gross!" to food and I love how none of you do that - even when the food is really not to your taste. ^_^
    I would definitely sign up for one of his tours if I ever make it to Japan and he is still doing them.

    • @noth606
      @noth606 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In Japan I eat what I'm offered even if I really don't like it - it's impolite to criticize it, but even more so to refuse to eat it once it has been served. I just don't order it again or go back there. Chefs and cooks there put not just their skill but often their passion into what they create for you, and you should respect it IMO.

    the banana mayo sandwich is a traditional southern thing in the US, a classic combo

      I love his discovery and observation that it turned the banana into a savory food.

    • @Aevilbeast
      @Aevilbeast 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lesbianfarm Banana's are actually really popular savory food in traditional Hispanic cooking. It's used in a lot of Puerto Rican recipes, either in stews or fried. Usually they use the green banana (not to be confused with Plantains, very similar but actually different fruits) though, but regular yellow banana's are used sometimes too. In their unripened form, they're actually very starch-y and quite similar to potatoes and used in similar fashion.
