I know it's a bit late to answer after 6 years, but I've got the same boat with 20hp Yamaha, and alone I get 45km/h and with two people 40km/h. It's all about the trim and weight distribution. After planing move the weight to the back to get more speed (have someone sit at front when accelerating to help getting to plane, and then have them move backwards after you get on plane to get more speed). Also trim down when accelerating to help getting to plane, and then trim up to get more speed after you're on plane.
What’s the top speed with 2 people? I have the same boat with 25hp Honda 4 stroke, only getting 18mph.
