Protestant Boys East Belfast & Witherow Memorial LOL 1337
On 19th September 2020 both parties will embark on a walk around East Belfast to visit local historic locations that are often forgotten.
During these uncertain times both the band and lodge, among many in our country, had made plans to fundraise but with restrictions neither were able to meet or do anything productive due to the covid19 pandemic and the public health concern that surrounds it.
This year the Witherow LOL are celebrating their 100th anniversary and with that in mind had ordered a new banner displaying the 36th Ulster Division on one side and the landing of King William on the other. The original plan was for our band to accompany the lodge in the banners first outing but it isn’t to be in 2020.
The lodge along with our band have a deep rooted history around the Westbourne Church and the lower Newtownards Road where the walk will proceed from and making its way to Craigavon house then a return route. It will only be our second outing of the year with the first being the 13th July where we done our utmost to bring the celebrations to our people, parading various streets within the Newtownards Road area. It was our way of thanking the people of East Belfast for their continued support, without them we would not be here over 50 years after our conception.
The Protestant Boys East Belfast and Witherow Memorial LOL 1337 ask our friends, families, supporters and the general public to help us maintain both the band and lodge by donating toward our walk.

Our target? £2021 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of our beautiful country next year. A high aim, but with your help an achievable one.
