I'll preface that i like looking into people's older content and seeing how long they've been on youtube. there's a content creator that has blown up recently that talks about overconsumption. When I scroll through her older content it was all natural hair related, micro locs journey. and then all of a sudden it's like a branding change and she has videos discussing different themes of overconsumption "fragrances" "credit cards" "makeup" "vacations". I think it's similar to rage baiting. It attracts an audience to discuss people who seem "out of touch" but unlike the channel the Financial Diet the creators never discuss their own consumption habits or use it as a moral ground. Like look at me I only have one toothbrush. Getting mad at creators and not the brands or algorithms and Tiktok or TH-cam it'self feels like swinging at all the wrong people.
Yes!! Bring the personal responsibility back to the consumer. I'm also an over consumer with fragrances. Nobody ever made me do it. I know when I need to pull back a little and for me what works is making my own wishlist, and then right at the end of each month when bills are paid, when money has gone into my savings account, then I get to play with what's left. I'm always going to adore fragrance. That won't change. So that means I'll buy it. To blame reviewers is madness all on its own. Grow up. Just grow up with that finger pointing nonsense. Manage your bills and your life. Its that simple. Make it that simple
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! Get TF out of my face with that blaming shit! No one made them run up their credit cards to buy all that shit! Hey, I had a pet rock as a kid!! It was awesome!! AND affordable. So were Chia Pets and didn't we all get our hearts broken waiting for the Sea Monkeys to look like the pictures, but those were affordable. Still, like you said, you never hear people giving SPORTS FANS any effing problems about how much they spend on TICKETS and HATS and fresh bright TEAM JERSEYS. Oh no, it's all the PERFUME AND MAKEUP people causing folks to spend too much money. Some people just look for any reason to blame someone else for them making poor decisions.
Love you LuuLuu 💕nobody’s fault but their own on how they spend their money and I’ve spent my fair share by watching videos. I remember the pet rocks and we only had 2 TV channels. And the Sea Monkeys were in every comic book 😂😂
I was here for the whole pet rock thing rofl. I was a kid so I got my pet rock by picking one up outside 🤣 and pong. Remember that thing too ? (I do still love video games but I've moved on to Animal Crossing and Zelda with the lovely graphics) I had the sea monkeys too. Oh my goodness. If I find myself wanting to spend too much I take a step back from watching videos. I know I can get obsessive about stuff. I like to collect things (look if money wasn't an issue I would buy aaaalll of Vincent's perfumes. As it is I pick one up here and there as I can - plus many samples). People need to step up and take responsibility for how they are spending their own money.
Financial advisors have a different level of responsibility. Fragrance, hair, makeup, self care influencers are like the server who is relying on tips at the end of the day but the real beef is with the employer. If collectively we spend most of our time working and didn't discover rest or hobbies until a global pandemic that's the source our problem. The cost of living is gong up and not keeping up with quality of life. Little things bring most of us small joys
I'm giggling at the replay because you still seem vexed about the damn sea monkeys! Grown folks say "It's my money, I spend it how I please and own my choices. Nobody influences what I buy and how much I pay." Immature buyer's short on rent money, full of remorse and devoid of self control: "Influencers made me spend my money, wah wah wah."
@@LuuLuusWorld 3x? Dang, admiring your persistance! On another note -saw your fb post asking for ideas re your lemon grass bounty. (I'm unable to reply to your fb posts) So you've already got it infusing in vodka? If not, google lemon grass vodka. It's really lovely.
😂😂😂send that money to me We're all grown.... nobody forces me to purchase anything...i can and I do watch alot of influencers and if I don't want to purchase something I don't

Wow smh yes it is a trend to discuss other people's spending habits as if it effects them. Smh

People really need to grow up and take accountability for their own actions. It's really as simple as that
That simple.

Totally agree
Oh yeah, also fragrances can be re-sold so it's sort of like buying and selling investments. No one mentions that. Unlike an old team jersey, ick.
True true

Girl I was so disappointed with the sea monkeys. I tried 3x. 🤣 I love your explanation.
