Well, for a couple reasons I guess. Could be they want to give the illusion to their audiences that they're doing "something" which could be seen as a punishment (innocent/guilty in the eyes of the law aside)...and they also do not want to deal with more audiences complaining about him playing and not being held accountable in the eyes of the NFL. Kinda. I do not know if anything I said is really valid, but the NFL exists to make money at the very end of the day. If serving out suspensions to players will decrease the likelihood of losing money in the regular season then I guess they would do it.
When was the last good call of duty multi-player? The game was dying and a battle Royale was the only thing to somewhat save it. Arena shooters are dead no matter what someone does with it... it's been around way too long.

That’s what the nfl does. They still suspend you. Ezekiel Elliott and plenty of others have never been proven guilty but still got suspended.
