@PointCloud I think this first lesson was just the right length and complexity for a beginner such as myself. Not too overwhelming and satisfying to create after watching. Looking forward to watching more as the lessons progress and I will comment with questions and suggestions. Well done!
blender 4.1 doesn't have the search geometry nodes, it only has the find current nodes... is that enabled in preferences? --------------- updated. found it. there is no search, you just have to start typing after selecting the add menu and it searches for you
They don't exist yet on grease pencil objects. Alternatively you can draw with curves and give them a bit of geometry around of the curve, which looks very similar to a grease pencil stroke. On these curves then you can put geometry nodes on. Just add a Curve -> Path Then go in the Edit Mode and delete everything, and then you select the "Draw" tool on the left bar, below the Measure tool. With this you can draw curves also with a graphic tablet and then play with the curve geometry. ;)
Do you have any questions?
Post them here and I'll do my best to answer them.
demistified! thank you!
Very good beginner explanation and example. Looking forward to more videos.
Thank you very much!
Do you have anything what could be better?

Perfect, thanks ;)
my new slogan, "non-destructive work flow" - if 2d artists understood this they'd run to blender and learn all about geometry nodes.
