I remember many years back a mate of mine (Steve) had a big red Kawasaki KLR650, he let me ride it from time to time and had much fun on it, but when he fitted 'Avon Gripster' tyres, it transformed the handling, the ride, the lean angles (I managed to grind the foot peg hangar bolts!), man they were some EXCELLENT tyres!! 🤔😏😉 😎🇬🇧
Great video as always! :) I've owned an SM XE 125 from brand spankers for a year - yes, a lotta money for a "Chinese" 125 - I hate the derogatory tone of these statements(where are most luxury technology goods made BTW). BUT a fantastic bike for trail riding/green landing, for which it is built. The motard version is nothing but a token gesture, as most generic motards are. The long front rake is a boon off road, but not so much on twisty/curvy roads as expected. I bought mine because:I enjoy trail riding(18/21 knobblies are a must have), the mechanical build quality and engine are EXCELLENT; the reliability and fuel economy is great...... What I ABSOLUTELY HATE about the bike: Gearing with a 52 tooth rear sprocket as standard(this bike has easily the mumbo to reach 75mph plus without absolutely wringing it's neck out with appropriate gearing) ; the decals will desolve before your very eye's if you spill fuel on them; metal fuel tanks FFS; stupidly tall;stupidly heavily sprung NO matter the preload adjustment; and cheap feeling and non-positive switchgear. BUT, we have to remember the GLOBAL market that the bike is aimed at(Metal fuel tank, ridiculous height/spring weights including the front.....). As a first bike = Awesome; As a long term bike = change gearing, springs(front and back), change can and replace decals and tyres to leading brand enduros, then a great keep, which is still ALOT cheaper and more fun(informative) to DO than a mainstream bike. I've change mine to suit and I love it. I recommend anyone to buy one, especially if you do the tweaks as I've suggested. As a 17yr old and as a Born Again Biker as I am, then I fully recommend! BTW I only got BACK into motorcycles to chaperon my son into biking(He has a 72 plate Rieju Tango 125 which has great characteristics for all shapes and sizes/sexes of learner bikers). Keep up the great work. My score 8/10. :)
Spicy.. my friend.. I came across your videos maybe 2 weeks ago while mindlessly scrolling through TH-cam, killing time at work waiting for the time to come to go home and get on my bike 😂 in the past 2 weeks I think I have sat and watched pretty much all your content now.. my question is, could you do a video series on converting an XJ600 diversion F into a naked (streetfighter) look? I have a 2012 diversion F and really want to do the conversion.. but I want to see someone do it first for reference and how difficult it would be etc.. there isn’t a single one on TH-cam.. you would be THE FIRST 😃 Keep up the good work mate 👍
Great vid .. thank you .. i would totally recommend. Going one tooth bigger on the front sprocket .I've done this to all my 6 Chinese 125 and now on my zontes 310 T2
I bought a 2012 sinnis apache 3 years ago (the suzuki dr125 clone) and it was a wreck. Stuck with it so I had no choice but to fix it, spent stupid money and could have bought a new one with that money, BUT... ...Man what a hell of a bike if ypu know how to get the best from it with a mikuni carb, straight thru exhaust, egr delete and gearing upgrade I've been able to keep up with and in some cases embarrass people on +600cc bikes. I hated the thing at first but now after living with it for a few years and seeing what it can do I can safely say I will NEVER get rid of that bike, even if I live to be 100.
Im surprised you can swap those wheels out without the Speedometer needing recalibrating every time, those wheels have a big circumference size difference

I do not think the Blade has been sold for over 10 years, By this point, I would be very careful buying any of them. This is vastly updated since then, I think the blade was Euro 3 this is Euro 5 so by default this is EFI not carbed and also has ABS.
That's right they brought it back for like a year or 2 after they stopped selling it for a long while. If I remember right the blade was out before the first sinnis apache. Anyways, second hand it totally dependent on that bike and how it was looked after, even more so with these sorts of bikes. If it is a good one and saves you a packet I do not see any huge losses.
3399 for the bike, a set of 18 and 21 wheels on Facebook market place is about 200 quid maybe? Just needing the sprocket n disks which some wheels might even come with some that work, otherwise you'd be looking at an extra 60 for discs and sprocket
I always keep an eye out for your reviews. I’m about the same height as you, and I’m looking at doing my cbt at some point this year. I’m 44, so not a nipper, and would be mostly using a 125cc for commuting to work, as well as finding my feet with bikes before moving onto my full bike licence. Anyway, keep up with the good work, love the channel and your reviews are valuable.
@@spicy110 I wasn’t after recommendations, I understood that each and every person has different needs, tastes and requirements. Just saying that as we’re similar stature, I can kind of gauge what bike will have my knees around my ears and what would be a better fit. Keep up the great work, and look forward to seeing more videos in the not too distant future.
You won't see them with 30k. They're bikes used by people on their first bike or people who won't just do their big bike test but expect the most out of their 125, thus blowing it up or just ruining it before it sees 30k. My smxe is on about 3500 miles so far, ride it daily. Bought it stolen/ recovered for £575 with 1400 miles. Spent around £400 on a brand new mitas 754 rear tyre and mitas c19 front tyre with some heavy duty Michelin tubes, new lock and fuel cap set, brand new battery and seat reupholstered with embroidered leather, new headlight plastic and new ecu (all the parts broken due to thieves) and I've never had an issue with the bike. Faultless to say the least. I can't speak high enough of it. Same said for my 2015 lexmoto adrenaline which went on to see 20k miles even after being fully burnt out at 15k miles. Gaskets were replaced after the fire and engine fires straight up like it hadn't been in a fire. Went on to see 20k with me before being sold on to a friend who I have no doubt would have put 10k on it in the last year and a half - I know he still has the bike. However, so far, sinnis smxe has been reliable for me even after being stolen/ recovered

Mechanically replaceable, but software patch required as the tone ring will not be calibrated otherwise.
:)
I wonder if you can fit the sm-xe wheels to a sinnis terrain, that you make a very good fun adventure bike if they do.
Have you ever done a review on a Grom
Do you reckon you could fit the sm xe with some luggage for some off road adv riding?
What exhaust can I put on my sinnis apache 21 plate
Hi spicy110 I'm a avid watcher of your videos and always leave a like 👍
Iv not long ago purchased a sinnis apache smr 2020 model

This is moto made in China?
Yes like most 125cc bikes these days.
Stupid money for a Chinese brand 125
