He is buying mobiles with his own money. So he is able to give genuine reviews. During early days Prasad also used to give genuine reviews. Once brands recognise him as a big youtuber and send him review mobiles, he will also turn out into Prasad. Prasad was banned by redmi for few years because of his genuine reviews. Later Prasad also started giving positive reviews every redmi phones to get into their terms.

But nowadays he is just reading the specs and giving vague statements like you said. Every big youtuber is doing that now so that they don't annoy big brands as the brands give them review mobiles, factory visits, giveaway mobiles, free accomodation and business class flight tickets for mobile launches and foreign tours. So the big youtubers never utter a word negativity against brands. Iam not a fanboy of any big youtuber and I genuinely support this guy till he stays genuine. But don't expect these new youtubers to stay genuine forever cuz once they grow to certain extent they will behave like Prasad, geekyranjit etc ..
