- In tribute to the sad sudden death of Peaches Geldof, clips from a Sky One documentary aired in 2005 where she went on a journalistic investigation to discover teenage lifestyles and the reception they get from others. 10 minutes in is particularly poignant.
Captured in 2005. I have a lot of other recorded Sky TV material (mainly documentaries) but I know it tends to get removed so I'm hoping this may be an exception.

Sad to hear her describe herself at age 30, since she only made it to 25.
Peaches was very smart and could have made more of a difference than her mother or father. I think all the Geldof kids are great haha. But it is a shame she was depressed for most of her teenage and adult life. I think she was close to her mum and it's hard to get over it.
Imagine redoing this now with the internet and cell phones.

I don't wish any one dead that age ,but she didn't live a real life ,she had money coming AUT of her ear's but depression ,addiction can get to any one , don't matter were u come from how much money u got she missed her mum never really got over it

R.I.P sweet, beautiful girl. ❤️❤️ Depression and addiction gas no prejudice. It does care if you have money, family, a home. If you're lucky enough to have those things, addiction will eventually take them from you.

It's such a tragedy that this beautiful, intelligent lady died young.I believe she had her father's profound intelligence and vision.Very colourful like her mother.Not to mention brave.

All she had to do was not try heroin and she would still be here.
adee3009 she need help she was on methadone that was a lower dose and a heroin substute her tolerance obviously went down what she could handle and she probably thought she could handle it.people should have been there for her.its obvious she never got over the death of her mother.you don't get over it you just cope some people cope more than others.she was obviously one of the ones that didn't cope

Poor,dear,sweet Peaches gone but never ever forgotten. Just like her father Bob wanted to use her position of money and fame just reach out and help people who were less fortunate than her. I myself was a child of the 80's and a big fan of her father Bob I was so impressed by what he did for the starving people of Eithiopia that when I was 15 I wanted to be Him.
This video is so lovely it shows she had just as much compassion for people that He did.
I think kids these days are unfortunateltv stereotyped as being yobbos by an older generation of people who don't understand them. Yobbos only represent a very small part of young society and I firmly believe it is because they had a bad start with bad parents and got put into care so the lack of love made them rebell.
Sure when we are kids we all want to dabble in the forbidden fruits of our parents like smoking drinking and having sex but unless we educate them to use these things responsibly we are to blame not them. Lots of kids get into trouble because they are bored but there are so many things out there to help them. A few years ago I used to do Taekwondo and that taught kids to be respectful nice people as part of the etiquette side of it. A majority of negative juvenile behaviour is down to borderdom and we as Adults need to get them involved in activities to help them like sports and exercise to help them achieve things and have pride in what they do. I also believe the very worst thing you can do for young people is to patronise them they need identities like everyone and instead of fearing youth culture Adults need to understand it better and set a good example to young people by not being prejudice and they should also remember they were young themselves once. Poor Peaches she was so young ,had so much more to give and would have made an excellent role model had She not got into the negative world she did.

We all make mistakes, but when it comes to medication or street drugs one little mistake can kill you.
But when your a mother caring for a child shooting heroin is reckless and irresponsible.

this is cringe, its like watching lily allen pretend to have grown up in a council house, this was probably the first time peaches was on a regular train or bus, she was a socialite, she was worth more as a teen than most people are by the end of their life. people gotta stop feeling bad for her, she didnt have a hard life, she was just a drug addict, probably because she thought it made her trendy...
Sad question....what do you think you will be like at 30? Everyone should give her a break she had a hard upbringing and lost her mother so very young!

The problem with teenagers in the west is that these are little adults, stupid, mind you, but only because we keep treating them like children, so it's a very hard time for them. In tribal cultures, by the time you're 13-14, you go through a ceremony to become an adult after which you are treated like and given all the responsibilities of an adult. Then you'd probably get married soon after and have kids that you then have to feed. These ceremonies usually include some kind of psychoactive substance, physical trial, etc. So teenagers are running around drinking, doing drugs, and having sex because it's in their DNA and these things signify adulthood in our cultures, and that's what they are trying to do-become adults. It's only been about 150 years since people got married at 14 for all of human history, and that's a big change for humans who haven't evolved that way yet.
Bless her..I used to find her so annoying, but she became a really sweet mother-just tragic that she succumbed to the allure of heroin.

Tragic truth one day the children going have to come to terms with that ....no she was not good mother she example of what not to do ...
