As you can probably tell from some of my other videos/my intro here, I have some health issues and it's been a little rough the past couple of weeks. Dimash is the greatest vocalist on the planet. He is 27yo, 6'3" and a very humble young man. He is classically-trained, sings in 12 different languages and plays 7 instruments. He has a 6+ octave range (C1 - D8, sustained.) and performs in a number of different genres. Incredible! Dimash's mother is an opera singer, and his father is also a singer, with a really fine pop music voice. You will probably get a boatload of suggestions from Dimash's fans (who he calls his "Dears"), because you have just scratched the surface of the talent of this remarkable musician. May I suggest: "Love is Like a Dream", "Autumn Strong" (the Gloria Wu post w/backstory), "Ogni Pietra" (Olympico), "Adagio", and "Sinful Passion". There are so many more, and you will never be disappointed in a Dimash offering. btw: Nice reaction.
Good summary. I know Dimash plays piano, dombra and drum set but what are the other four instruments that he plays? I've seen him play around with a guitar but I don't think he would say that he plays guitar. I know Kanat plays guitar (and dombra and piano). Thanks!
What you have to remember about Dimash is that he is an alien. Everybody on his planet can sing like that, but they only allow one immigrant at a time on other planets, so yeah, there isn't anyone like him.......on earth that is.

Few things to add; he sings in 12 languages, but can speak 2 fluently (Russian & Kazakh) and 2 more he is learning (English & Mandarin).
He plays 6 instruments.
He has a very rare ability called "absolute pitch" which 2 other famous people possess (Michael Jackson & Mariah Carey) look it up on wiki, too much information to explain.

I first heard Dimash about a year ago after reading comments about this guy on TH-cam. What I saw and heard was just extraordinary...I've never heard or seen anything like Dimash in my 70 years on this planet. Not a day goes by without me listening to one or more of his quite numerous performances. He is a very rare combination of incredible talent, intensive training, and an unmatched stage presence. He sounds like an opera singer because he is! He’s been classically trained from the age of 5 and was offered a place at the Astana opera company but turned it down to follow his own path. Dimash sings all genres of music, plays numerous instruments, sings in 12 languages, composes, dances, acts and about to receive his PhD in musical composition. So… not only is he the best singer in the world he is immensely talented, intelligent, humble and kind. That is why he has so many loyal fans throughout the world who love him. Wow, he has a PhD on top of everything else!!! That's extraordinary. As someone who has been through the graduate school experience (so to speak), I'm always amazed by people who are able to balance graduate level work with so many other things simultaneously. He must have an both a deep passion for what he does and be incredibly driven!

SOS is an old French song. Dimash sang it in French. The words are not important when you listen to his performances. Dimash has master's degrees in many different types of music. He enrolled in music college when he was 5 years old. He is a master performer. 20 years of training his vocal cords. No one can touch him.

Dimash is an Opera singer - classically trained for over 20 years, (Yup. Starting aged 5 and training daily), who decided it would be far more fun to 'play' across ALL genres. But he still dabbles with a few operatic performances here and there. The pride of Kazakhstan is gathering a massive international audience and taking off everywhere across UTube currently.

Dimash Kudaibergen or Qudaibergen is Pronounced Koo Dye Bear Gen with a hard G. His name was announced in the video at the start and end. Hope this helps. He is widely recognised as the greatest vocalist in the world 🌎💖 if you Google him on his Wikipedia page you will be amazed 👏 if you wanted the lyrics there are subtitles

It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him.
Some info about Dimash. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 6-7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 12 languages and speaks 3 so far. He is born in May 24 1994.
Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD.
He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500.
Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside).
They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night.
Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to.

Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 17 or 19 years old and lyrics by Oral Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to.

Congratulations on your reaction, Dimash is a very humble and simple boy, for what i have read and seen he highly appreciates his roots and exposes them when he can in his presentations. He is very respectful of everyone and kind. He was competing in The World´s Best in 2019 but he retired. This caused annoyance in Rupaul but Dimash was more concerned with leaving the little ones that competed with him frustrated and seeing the level and quality that he has, he would very likely have won. By the way the prize was of 1,000,000.00 dollars.

Thanks for reacting, I enjoyed and appreciated it. He's from a singing family: mom is a pro opera singer, dad is a contemporary singer. Dimash was started on voice lessons at 5, when his piano teacher realized he has perfect pitch. Since he was a tiny boy he's focused and worked towards becoming a singer. He's been on stage since he was a toddler; his incredible stage presence was learned early and through a ton of experience. You’re kinda like me as I found Angelina years ago and Dimash was in right margin. Big day.
That’s the same way I feel about it. While the two (Dimash and Angelina) are very different in their musical presentations, they both have amazing control over their vocal instrument. The amazing textures both of them can bring to their voice is beyond anything else I’ve ever heard. Due to that control, they both can allow us to hear their emotions. Rarely do you find a singer that so many people say about them that “they gave me goosebumps”, yet for Dimash and Angelina comments such as that are in nearly every comment.
It’s an amazing time to be alive and be able to enjoy those two (and many more) amazing musical talents in our world.

That was funny in the beginning he has a beautiful tone uhhhh, his range is uhhh as he seemed to make those words misplaced as he gave more before you could get out your thoughts, Comical in a great way because I think we have all done the exact same thing. Вы говорили что Вам, интересен смысл песен---Песня «Рассвет» которую исполнял Димаш на китайском конкурсе I am Singer посвящена трагическому событию, которое произошло в горной провинции Гуйчжоу в 1999 году. Трагедия произошла на фуникулере. Родители смогли спасти своего 2,5 годовалого ребёнка,вытолкнув его из кабинки, но сами погибли. Узнав об этой истории Хань усыновила ребёнка.
История была близка и самой Хань Хун, ведь она сама потеряла отца в 6 лет, её мама была певицей, и воспитанием Хань занималась бабушка.

👉 This is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears. (This is what Dimash calls us fans.) This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight.
In 2017 Dimash received a wild-card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant of all time (22 years) and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part. Nobody knew or hear Dimash before and he also had to start first... and after this song Dimash captured the hearts of millions of viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood at his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds, over 4 months. The jury consists of 500 spectators. With up to 1 billion people see this tv-program, that's generated international interest. The performances were uploaded to TH-cam... and so, we became Dimash’s Dears.

I agree 100% of your assessment of Dimash 😁. I was classically trained for many years in my youth and discovered Dimash about two years ago. I am much like you, in that not knowing the lyrics or the back story usually is problematic for me also. However, when I heard him sing for the very first time and it was “SoS”…… I was certainly and Earthing in distress. I didn’t understand the lyrics in my mind, but my soul connected to them in a way like never before, and as a classically trained singer I wept with the beauty that I knew I would never hear again in my lifetime. Dimash is a once in a lifetime gift to the world, like Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, he is most definitely a Renaissance man. Dimash is a very complex, very modest, very deep person. Also a sublime handsome man, very wise. It is perfect. He is such a human and pure being that, in my opinion, we ordinary people have not yet fully discovered him and I think his parents do not. Both the family and those of us who love him are a little overwhelmed by Dimash's supernatural wealth, God-given wealth, obviously! Without God, nothing exists! So Dimash is really a miracle, hard to understand. The vast majority who analyze him, from all points of view, voice, physique, etc., perceive only the visible part of his miracle. The hardest to feel is the spiritual part of Dimash, which is the key, the secret as I called it, between him and God. From here began his conception as a man and as an artist. The song is entitled “SOS (international call for help) of an Earthling in Distress”, and cones from a 1978 French Canadian rock opera Starmania. Dimash was indeed classically trained but also holds a Bachelor’s in jazz and contemporary music, and a master’s in composition. He is currently still enrolled in the PhD program at the Kazakhstan National University of Arts.
Dimash not only has an amazing vocal range spanning nearly seven octaves, but also sings in almost every genre, and likes to mix and match them in surprisingly beautiful ways. Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was found to have perfect pitch. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz, was a major in Vogel technique. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and receiving his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He has since started his PhD.
He currently has a vocal range of over 6 octaves but he is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of both arrange you have but in fact what you do with it. He has won many prestigious awards and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan.
He has performed songs in 12 different languages. He speaks fluent Russian and Kazakh, some Chinese and is pretty good in English and Is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a difficult language to learn but he's doing well with it.
At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in a Chinese singing show for professional singers. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China.
He is also famous in Russia for his neoclassical work with famous Russian/Ukrainian composer and arranger Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. He has written songs for Dimash and arranged previously composed music specifically for Dimash. He is often at the piano for many of Dimash's performances. Dimash has since introduced pop songs in Russia as well.
Is vocals range from a rich low baritone to extremely high soprano notes. On at least one occasion he has Hit a D8 in whistle tone for 5 seconds with vibrato.
He was on a solo world tour when the pandemic struck. His concerts are usually about 3 hours with an eclectic mix of vocal styles and genres.
He was born into a musical family and both of his parents are famous singers and musicians in Kazakhstan, his mother being an operatic soprano. He was offered a position in the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turn this position down to pursue his own path in neoclassical and contemporary music.
He's a multi-instrumentalist, competent on 8 instruments including piano, drums and the native Turk/Kazakhstan two-stringed instrument called a dombra.
As of May 24th, 2021 he will celebrate his 27th birthday. He is most widely known through his live performances that has released several albums the first one going platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum in less than an hour.
It has been recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has designated his "Dears"
He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble and seldom goes without mentioning his love of country and its history.

Welcome to Dimash's world. I will never get tired of watching people's first reaction to him. I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my TH-cam recommendations for over a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera. I came across your channel, and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence.
You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of his talent and vocal ability. I am looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, some Dimash fans are almost cultic to the point of fanaticism and they get outright defensive and combative over any perceived criticism of their "object of worship." I am simply an admirer of good music and talent, regardless of genre, and do not count myself among the Dimash fanatics, but I am utterly amazed by him.
From what I gathered, Dimash is from a very musical family and started singing and piano lessons at the age of five when he was found to have perfect pitch. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a much-loved national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He was even offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far.
He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn. Dimash also plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. During his live concerts, he usually performs for more than two hours and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles.
His range is about 7 octaves now and spans across all five registers from a rich bass-baritone through to an extremely high soprano and whistle register, and he seems to effortlessly navigate between them, often within a single breath. As you might already know, there are only 5 registers, from lowest to highest: vocal fry (pulse), chest voice, head voice, falsetto/flute, and whistle tone. Soprano is a vocal range and/or voice type - so Dimash can still sing the highest voice type, but he would be singing in that range using both his head voice and falsetto, and very occasionally whistle tone. He has even hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato, the highest note ever performed during a live performance. It has been recognized that his high notes are usually not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it’s spectacular. However, Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it.

Congratulations for discovering both Angelina and Dimash 😊 Dimash will have a treat for you in every performance. If he doesn’t go high, he goes low, if it’s not the belting, it’s the breathy notes. Or he pulls extraordinary techniques you’ve never heard before. Or maybe he just pulls your emotions.
Angelina have many covers that you can pick from. She always has a way of making songs her own. She also have a few originals. Her first original is called Shield. Last fall she was signed by a record label (that I can never remember the name of) and after that she released two songs. The first is a song in memory of her grandfather, and is called Million miles, and the second is a jazzy number called Seventh Heaven. She also had an amazing performance on America’s Got Talent Champions in January 2020 doing fantastic version of Bohemian Rapsody.
