Meteor Golem was actually designed specifically to go into all of the planeswalker decks: it was meant to show new players that everything has an answer (and to give the decks in colors with weaker removal a way to actually deal with planeswalkers and big threats).
Sean's speech at 17:58 reminds me so much of his monologue about him being the damsel in distress during his game with Chris Kluwe. So many good memories. Also, Sean, he really needs sleep here. He has all the signs of sleep deprivation. Irritability, lack of focus, lack of energy. I pity him.
Season 4 where the randomly picked decks are prechosen and starting hands have plenty of land yet you do not care because Sean Plott is endlessly captivating and you'd watch him in anything.
I got that black deck on release day, turned it into a straight zombie/skeleton deck, took out all the life steal for more resurrection/blood divinations and added Lilliana, Deaths Majesty to it. Ridiculously good synergy and a ton of fun to play.
This series and Tabletop are the only reasons to watch Geek and Sundry now for someone not obsessed with DnD. I miss when this channel was all about Felicia at least we have a few quality shows. Escape was good but I don't see them bringing it back. I'd love to see commander on this series because it's very casual and there is a lot of preconstructed decks but I'm not sure it will even happen as this series is more about the basic of the basics.
Have fun! I really recommend the Magic Duels app as a way of getting into the game and all the different mechanics - it's free (and official WoTC, so totally legit), and you can try your hand at creating decks and playing against AIs and other people! :)
Kel'Thuzad I haven’t played Arena, since I only play on my iPad. I can’t really recommend something I’ve never tried, though you’re free to recommend it all you like. I’ve just found that Duels has been wonderful to play for me :)
I don't think I have ever seen a game with a planes walker where the play has FAILED to draw that planes walker from their deck. I, however, have had that happen to me SEVERAL times

Meteor Golem has been WRECKING Sean this season.
I burst out laughing the moment they showed it in her hand, the card really has it in for him.
I feel like it's getting to Pot of Greed levels where we don't even need to have it explained to us, it comes up so often XD
POT OF GREED allows the player to draw 2 more cards from their deck and add them to their hand.
It's almost like every deck has it.
