I figured it out... I put the phone in a paper bag (not plastic) whirled it around my head three times (must be south to north) and crossed myself three times. It worked! Geez.

JBL bluetooth earphones ARE pairing, but commands don't work. The famous 2 touches to pass to the next song is actually activating the Voice Control (despite the fact that this feature is DEACTIVATED on my iPhone). 3 touches is calling the last number I called instead of going back to the last song.
The earphones work very well in other devices, except for this shitty iPhone 13.
