First of all, THANK YOU for putting this video together. These guys are such graceful and spectacular athletes! So much fun to watch. I have a question though. If you go to time 9:59 in the video you will see the back of the diver on the left has some kind of a reddish rectangular mark in the middle of his lower back and on either side of that are two smaller beige rectangular marks. What are these marks? I've noticed similar marks on several of the other divers.
Hi Charlie. What you see on their backs are not marks (even though they look like marks) they are actually sports tape. That particular diver had probably strained his back and that helps his muscles. You probably have seen those on shoulders also. Now if you see round brown marks they appear after the divers have had a therapeutic cupping treatment which involves warming and placing cups, usually made of glass, on the skin. By warming the air within the cup, a vacuum is created, and when it is applied to the skin, the tissue is drawn up into the cup, this increases the blood flow, and healing but it shows bruises which can last up to 2 weeks.

@@charliehorsenm3446 That is for sure! China in particular has a very large base of divers, only a vey few are invited to live and train at the National Training Center in Beijing. They several training centers in different parts of the country, for different levels of competitions, but divers even in China start in local pools.
You are correct a few slow segments without diving were removed as I hear all the time that people do not like empty video and prefer fast paced videos
