Sorry for being a smarty pants but being colorblind means that people can’t see certain colors because one of their primary colors is missing therefore they can not see a certain two or three (sometimes) colors.

1:55 the cops in my town have had to take 3 reports about the same stolen vehicle because they didn't put it into the system, to include an eye witness testimony. They don't have dash or body cams here, they're very reluctant to let the public film them, even though it is completely legal, and I have personally seen them mishandle evidence time and time again. I hate this town, and no one in power wants to change things at all. Everyone else in this town hardly speaks English, so hardly any of them vote to make a difference, too.

The thing with the deaf baby is a but more complicated. See, if the kid wanted to hear or was suffering a loss of quality of life due to lack of hearing, that’d be one thing. However, the parents making this decision sends the signal that they think that being deaf/hard of hearing is intrinsically bad or at least worse than being born “normal,” this indirectly (and probably unintentionally) telling deaf people they’re deficient/undesirable.
So on the one hand it’s nice that the baby can hear and I’m sure all the parents were thinking about was what they thought was best for their child- but I also understand the people who think it’s anti-deaf as apparently the parents’ image of a fulfilling life for their child necessarily includes avoiding deafness by any means necessary.
