Lol, that happened to me in World 2 level 4. I stomped on the koopa and hit the block in the pit but my mushroom fell and I went after it. The shell hit me and I came back up and down and I died. That was a funny glitch as I didn't know the shell would kill me in the pit. 😂
The part where Mario faces forward and is in a sitting position and falls down is the funniest part
