Your videos are great. I had a beagle when I was a kid. Also had a mini bike and that dog went everywhere with me. We lived in town and you couldn’t keep her in the yard or tied up. She would just bark and Howell. She was an escape artist as well. If she wasn’t tied she would jump over the 4’ fence or dig under it. Fortunately She was friends with all of the neighbours also. We lived on a very busy road and the dog never ran in front of cars. In fact there was a crossing guard down the street because of a school and he was also friends with her and he would stop traffic for her to cross! If he wasn’t there as it wasn’t school hours she looked both ways before she crossed the road. There was even a picture in the local paper of the beagle crossing with the school crossing guard. Very smart dog! Sometimes when my parents were going out for the evening and she didn’t want to come in the house after calling her my dad would go to the garage and start the mini bike. The dog was right there. Get in the house! Tricked her! These dogs are the best, just like in the videos. Smart, friendly and entertaining!

Haha, yeah you can surely have one. But just make sure to socialize your beagle with the cat. I would suggest getting both of them together when they are puppy and kitten, so that they get along well when they grow up. But it's going to be a lot of work.
My first dog ever (in my 20s) was an exceptionally mischievous beagle. He got into everything. We had to hang the trash on the wall inside the basement steps and put a lock on the fridge. We were devastated when he died of dilated cardiomyopathy at age 10 😭 we worked with a couple of beagle rescue groups to adopt another beagle who has also been the best dog for the past 4 years. I don't know if I'll ever own a different breed!

Whether we realize it or not, he is the first beable everybody loved and owned. Charles Schultz was really on to something, and he captured a beagle's rolling and stretching movements perfectly. We have been in love with Snoopy/beagles now for over 50 years!

Mine is 4 months old. if we survive until he is one yr. old then we have the perfect dog. He chews us and everything else. He eats everything he can reach. He gets into the trash. It's crazy but we love him to pieces. He tried to take my husband's CPAP off while he was sleeping. He growls at it. Thinks it's an alien.
They actually moult continually and can be very noisy and stubborn so please bare that in mind too if considering one. They also roll in anything, the smellier the better. Still love mine to bits.
You forgot BOSSY... well I had a female for 14 years and she was bosssy. I have one year, she will be one tomorrow and is equally bossy as my other one that is doggy heaven. I had a male for 12 years and he was not bossy at all, but for sure playful all day male or female. :)

Beagles can alert you by barking if they see an intruder. However, they won't able to guard your house. They are very friendly and not at all aggressive. So they won't attack the intruders but they can alert you by barking.
my beagle is very indifferent about water he will walk in the water if he feels like it and sometimes enjoys a bath but only if the water is warm enough for him :D
