I mostly buy sticker books when they are on clearance for $2.50😂 and planners for $5. Plus I sell what I don't want.

Oh man I’ve come to terms as well and started giving some of my books away, I think. I spent maybe bought one book this year only and it was words. Big on that. I was the type to buy a ton on release date

That's great that you are sharing! The quotes/words are nice but for me I find that they are too much. Where/how do you use them?

@@creatingwithyana I use them a ton but work, home, side job, car maintenance planners. And some I love crime documentary so I tend to do like ransom crime spreads lol so the words I don’t use I use for those.

I normally use stickers from a subscription from Hubman and Chubgirl. I also don’t celebrate Halloween so those stickers are always wasted.

Nah.... this wasn't it.... it didnt hit right for me... this is a very limited view... it didn't provide enough context for me on why not to buy.
buy or don't buy its your money. There are ways to use the stickerbooks you showed, even on dailies. Even if you're busy. Predecorate some daily pages.
+ you're planner doesn't have to be perfect or picture perfect. It's supposed to meet your needs to help keep you organized and on track.
+ Decide are you a functional vs decorative planner. Even functional planners can use decorative stickers on the edge.
+ Watch flip through videos of sticker books first.
+ Don't buy online. Buy from the stores so you can see in person if you will use more than 70% of the book.
+ Maybe stickerbooks aren't for you. The sticker shops still have game in sticker market.
+ Understand your needs to be creative, gave a creative outlet or a hobby.
+ Decide are you keeping your planner pages as memory books, because if not then no need for stickers.
+ Don't buy stickerbooks based on FOMO... fear of missing out.
+ Gift pages you aren't ever going to use to somewhat would love them. Or offer to the community center, library, or daycare. Especially something like Halloween that you don't celebrate.
+ Consider reorganizing stickers pages keeping the one you'll use or really like and haven't figured out how to use.
+ Maybe head over to IG and look at a few planner spreads that use that stickerbook for ideas. There are tons of functional planner peeps that use both functional and decorative stickers.
Don't just look at folks using the same planner as you. There are tons of folks that use HP stickers but plan in Erin Condren, MaskseLife, Hobonichi, Cloth n Paper, and others. That might be what's limiting you.
+ lastly, you mention making your own stickers and fussy cutting them. Most of the ones you showed are decorative stickers. So it tells me you didn't purchase the right stickerbooks for your needs or wants. HP, Kell of a plan, Live love Posh, Amber plans her day, Mojo jo plans are have stickerbooks with majority deco, especially florals. And there ate tons of sticker shops with deco.

Thank You for the comment, great tips!
I am not saying that people shouldn't buy stickers at all... but just a few thoughts I wished to have heard/seen about stickers. :-) There are so many other perspectives.

@@creatingwithyanaI got what you were saying. I honestly have been saying the same. Overall it’s wasteful. No matter how much you think you’re saving…you will end up throwing them away. 😅 my husband keep saying just go back digital…I was digital planning in 2019. really thinking about it. And keeping only what I will actually use
