Dana says- Jeff is always such a great sport and watching them lovingly tease him has been fun (cause that's obviously what they're doing), but I'm starting to get the sense that the joke is starting to get a little old for him- or at least that it's a constant thing. Natalia and Ming seem to be catching on to this (maybe Ming does because she's a mom?) Maybe I'm just projecting because I've been in his position in friendships before. It happens mostly when you're the "Good Time Charlie". It's fun at first, and an easy type of banter to have, but even with people who are big jokers (like Jeff seems to be), it eventually can start feeling like that's all the friendship will be, and you start to wonder if they truly would respect or like you as much without that element, and if not, what does that make you? Thomas Richards I think you may be projecting, and I think you may also have to kinda be aware that they play up the teasing when they’re in front of a crowd or got an audience, it’s more or less thing they do to kinda just be goofy and play up the dynamics But that’s not how their dynamic is 24/7, they play it to promote the show, but off screen they are just normal friends and you can see in many of the Instagram posts and videos and just how they act generally when it’s not for a proper event, they are all very close and loving and spend a lot of time together. Iain and Jeff were traveling together over the hiatus and having fun. Jeff and Chloe are always up to some shenanigans and lip syncing and also travel around together. Elizabeth and Iain have in interviews spoke about how much they adore him and how he’s just a bright sunshine of positivity and happiness and they act very much like a family. Natalia and Ming both are like mom friends to him and he and Henry jokes around a lot. And he’s even spent a lot of time with both showrunners Mo and Jed just goofing around in watch parties and Instagram videos. Their love for him is very real and genuine, joking and teasing is part of a bit of fun they play up for the fans but it’s all out of a very real love. I mean Jeff got the role of Deke because this cast admired his talent so much and didn’t want him to go, their respect for him came first with his craft as a performer and then friendship. You’re very kind and compassionate to be concerned about how Jeff feels, that’s so sweet of you. However from their various off screen interactions and shenanigans, and the fact that off screen hiatus they even spend time playing around and traveling, it’s made pretty clear by the cast always that they adore him, and the joking is usually played up for laughs. Chloe specifically at Wonder Con panel even said that this is just for fun and it’s done with love and made sure to emphasize that nobody should ever be mean to Jeff. She wanted to make sure everyone knew this was just for fun and playing around and not a serious thing they do to be mean. So the fact that she made sure to say that, I think they are very aware of how this can look or how Jeff might feel. They wouldn’t have kept him with the show and brought him on a series regular if they didn’t respect him as an actor and love him as a friend that fits into their already family dynamic.

Yeah, I was going to miss Coulson as a character, but thinking about how tough it must have been for everyone to film that- knowing it might be their final scene working with him as a co-star and how much they would probably miss seeing him every day.
