    I’m surprised Australian clients allow bridging bolts still . Most contractors have steered away from them because they can randomly let go . We use through hole come along’s for a more controlled separation.
    I’m guessing there weren’t any pigs in the head ? Didn’t see any lacing rope .
    Nicely done on the whole though . Good job

      Hey Mark , it wasn't an Australian client, it was in the middle east. it was my first time removing a lay down head too . there wasn't any pigs in the head. its funny they that they didn't allow us to use impact wrenches too. thanks by the way, appreciate it

    Hello, love your videos!
    Quick question.
    When you say in some comments of your videos that as long as it is imca we are good, do you mean certificates? or the school itself? Because I've been looking at NYD in Norway, which seems the best to attend according to where I live. But I've asked them what certificates they issue at the end of the course, and they've replied this:
    Petroleumstilsynet (Ptil) Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA): Class 1 - Surface orientated diver. This diving certificate is internationally recognized for surface supplied diving offshore to 50 meter by all the relevant organisations and national authorities included IMCA, HSE, NDC, ADAS, DCBC, SGM etc.
    Arbeidstilsynet (Lsa): Certificate Class-B. This cert is recognised for inshore diving in Norway.
    International Diving Schools Association (IDSA) Level-3. This cert is internationally recognised for inshore diving .
    Norwegian school of Commercial Diving. NYD Class-1. Certificate is issued by the school and describes the holders level of competence.

    • @garykanason
      @garykanason  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey , So , Other than working in the States , Everywhere else offshore requires your cert to be under the compliance of IMCA . It can be any cert from any school.

    • @garykanason
      @garykanason  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey bro, try to go get you IMCA License, its the only way you can apply for jobs offshore. No offshore company will hire a non IMCA certified diver. I would suggest you gather more than 200 Dive logs inland, and apply for a RPL course. Its a shorter course and it cost less.

      We did request for Impact wrench , but the client didnt allow hydraulics , but they were ok with Hydratights , weird ..

  • @billsixx
    @billsixx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You'd just think they would have a hydraulic tool to remove the bolts. Clubbing at the wrench doesn't seem to be very effective/efficient.

    • @AdamSandaver
      @AdamSandaver 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      try setting up the hydraulics to this depth then recovering them is another story even if they are on a winch. Usually the bolts are ok once cracked open.
