holy shit, i remember this at high school and i was like "wtf, what "square?" whats that got to do with this whack looking equation? none of this makes any sense. how does this euqation complete a square?"

2x²-5x+3=0

Yes, but it's usually better to rewrite that as 2(x^2-2.5x+1.5) and then use this method on x^2-2.5x+1.5.
