@@octohachi-yx7cf I mean like to get a silver trophy you needed a high score of at least 120 so the way they almost got that amount from a single wave when some can’t even get it in three waves is crazy
Ok, I did NOT know that the Grizzco Splatana could pierce kill Drizzlers and Flyfish like that, if I had I don't think I would have hated using it that much the 8 times I got it on high tide and felt like I wasn't really able to really contribute or prevent wipes, so thank you for revealing this intel to me. On another note, I too agree that Kraken feels broken strong on Salmon Run, it can just deal with so much so easily and I'm very glad it got added with the abilities it was.
Always fun to watch you all after the event. I hit 153 playing solo, which I was fine with just to get the gold trophy (once Nintendo gets the glitch). Also had my first taste of sort-of overfishing: we had a HT Mothership and I had the GrizzCo Charger so I basically took care of shootdowns while the others did cleanup and we got 71 in a single wave (though sadly we had a crew wipe in the next wave but it still crazy seeing the egg count that high). The big highlight for me was a Joe encounter where they had a sliver of health left and I had Triple Splashdown so I used it as it rose on me, killing it as if my Inkling was smashing its fist down its throat. It was so weird and funny.
@LemonAiyon lol thanks, the randoms this time around seemed to really know what they were doing so it made it easier to climb up and surprisely beating joe very consistently
@FireSonicYT hell yeah, it's a struggle with my friends since we barely get over 100 but they are learning splatoon and I'm addicted lol so I don't hate em for it so oddly enough I do well more in solo queue atm
Was able to get 177 in the last couple hours of big run! Was very surprised since the highest score I’ve gotten before that was 175. This big run was sm fun with all the grizzco weapons and it was my first time getting to 800+ during the event
This is what good players look like... And your 1st wave was more than my best score. I hate playing with randoms. Everyone ignores Ads. My best potential waves I was killing trash and helping out with eggs while they ran around like derpshits.
A very welcoming change. The earlier 40 checkpoint is simply too low of a difficulty for some people. My only worry with this is always enforcing too much difficulty on players who cannot handle it, but seeing it done with stage badges that require you to push far past those checkpoints is neat way to mitigate that problem. Especially with it being map specific, since some maps are way easier than others
@@BrianTheDrummer yeah, one really has to intentionally go for even the bronze stage badges, let alone the silver or gold ones. The only downside is it's kinda a double edged sword, because EVP 40 now feels even more like noob heck in Soloque than ever before on the stages people don't have the badges for. Outside of this unfortunate side effect, though, great change.
did you end up getting the gold decoration? i got 121 and was given bronze. im also aware people with scores of 150-170 ended up with the bronze deco too
Sucks that you didn't get a griller wave with Grizz Stamper. I got it at HL242 and killed 14/18 of them. 50 eggs collected is very high for me, but I'm sure a better team could get over 100.
Do you mean the Tetra game? If so it's more the end lag being a problem, particularly for Tetra as it's so long. Good example being around the Big Shot canon where rolling would slow down my ability to run eggs while killing. It's still good when there's only stuff to kill or cycles to meet like the first Drizzler jump, but otherwise that end lag is something to consider
Really fun so far! Only thing is that they can kinda be a pushover once you know what you're doing. Same thing kinda goes for Joe, but definitely a lot harder. Though. I'm particularly curious how it goes on some of the normal SR maps, since at least here it felt easier to position Joe and pile up eggs with how close all the spawns are. I wanna see if that's any different on some of the bigger maps. Either way they're really cool to fight and just a fun idea as a whole
If you’re telling him about this silver trophy after the results came in, you’re not alone. I have 154 eggs and I still got silver, something I didn’t expect the new system to ruin the big run experience like that. I think it’s something to do with the people grinding for the biggest high score in the event run. I was not happy either, knowing that this new system ain’t worth the benefit towards all of us. I can’t believe Nintendo would like rob us the one chance we had to get the gold badge. I feel so bad for everyone and I am very worried that they are not gonna react well to the results after what we just witnessed.
@@6drago9 Yeah Nintendo Robbed everyone I was hoping to get the gold badge until I saw the results. This is ridiculous People are going to be Mad at these results.

You managed to get more in a single wave, than I got in a good chunk of complete games.
Same
The way you almost got the amount needed for a silver level trophy from a single wave is insane
What do you mean almost? The first wave got 119 eggs

not a Brian video without low battery warning lol. your dedication to your craft is inspiring
My controller is the true mvp. Survived since Splatoon 2 release and still lasting these rotations without recharging... just about

You got more eggs in your FIRST WAVE than my high score for the entire big run
Gonna miss this stage so much. Thank you again for the games!!
@@coffee_2234 hi!
How can you br that good...? Really impressive
I cant describe the joy in knowing how enthusiastically the Splatoon community has embraced a single typo. Godspeed Joe. 😅
3:55 is so unlucky man. First, it didn't grab the egg and then accidentally shooting the egg with big shot cannon.

I love watching Overfishers. Their team coordination is inspiring!
Me thinking 157 is a really good score

22:07 "mental damage" after bonking the bomb off the steelhead had me dying
You have no idea how happy I am to see someone catch this after my squad missed it
Easily my fav joke of this overfishing vid lmao
119 IN THE FIRST WAVE!? By the Great Zapfish that is insane! Thats more then my final high score in this Big Run!
Although fog ain't a complete death sentence like grillers and glowflies, it's still just as hated.
